You may know the story of girl on Marvelous Bridge who always played with her Abra.
But what you may not know is her story...
The girl was playing in the yard with her Pokemon.
The small Pokemon fell asleep suddenly. The girl thought this was normal.
What she didn't know was a shadowy Pokemon known as Darkrai was behind her.
"Human." It said.
The little girl, used to making friends, turned, startled.
"Oh! Hello there!"
Darkrai was startled by this. At the age of sixteen, a child normally knew the story of Darkrai.
"Want to be friends?" The girl asked. "This is my Abra!"
Darkrai didn't know how to respond.
The girl's parents saw what was going on, and took her inside, crushing Darkrai's dreams of having a friend.
And this is where our story starts.
A failed friendship.

Darkrai
Wandering the streets alone was normal for me. I was the Lord of Nightmares and Darkness. But this form was new.
A human with Pokèmon like features. Sighing, I went to my normal spot, the entrance to my castle.
In my room, I lay on my bed. The girl...
She didn't know my story.
Her parents did, and she probably was told by now, and was scared.
Shaking off the hope of having a friend, I looked out my window.
Dreams were for the people who couldn't see the reality.

The next few days, I was sad.
Everyone in class was muttering about my encounter with Darkrai, and wouldn't talk to me, for fear he would hurt them.
Even the teachers were scared of me.
But like always, there were those who weren't.
"The Lord of Nightmares and Darkness isn't one you want to be friends with!" The teachers scolded.
After school, I was walking and came along a new person I hadn't seen before. "Hello there!" I said, startling the person.
He smiled at me. "You should be with your parents. Don't you have an Abra?" He asked.
I gasped. Only my mom, dad and Darkrai knew about the Abra!
"You're the Pokèmon I met the other day!" I whispered excited.
He seemed to get nervous. "Be quiet, okay?" He asked.
I nodded, and he asked me to follow. Excited I did.
And I saw the most beautiful place.

Darkrai
"Beautiful, huh?" I asked the teen.
She didn't respond as she was staring in awe.
Smiling, I sighed. "You can't stay here. This is a place for the ones..." I stopped myself.
"The ones...?" She prompted me.
"The ones who died from the nightmares I give out..."
She didn't seem surprised or shocked or horrified, but she smiled. "You're lonely, huh? Come live with me and my family!"
Shocked, I shook my head. "I-I couldn't. I can't..."
"Why not?"
"No one trusts me..."
"I'll be your first friend!" She said to me...
The day before I gave her a fatal nightmare.

During the day, I was visited by the people in the village.
At night, when I was asleep, Darkrai visited me, crying.
Often it was the same thing. Sorry. I'm so sorry. I was just... and then you couldn't hear what he was saying through his crying.
One day, it was different. He noticed me.
"H-hi." I said, realizing he might not have been visiting me.
"W-what are you doing here?" He snapped.
"I-I come here every night. You keep saying sorry. What's wrong?"
"Y-your family... They don't understand,.. Not even a Lunar Wing can help...
They're going to die."
I gasped, running over to the Pokèmon, hugging him. "Y-you okay?" I asked.
He nodded, still crying.
[So I'm thinking of making this a few chapters, sixteen maybe?
not sure yet]

Chapter Five
Darkrai
I won't lie. Crying in front of this teen was a little embarrassing... But it helped.
I just couldn't believe I killed my first friend.
My first friend ever...
"A-anyway." I said, turning back into the humanoid form.
The teen smiled. "You said the souls from the humans who die from your nightmares go there, right?"
I nodded.
"Well, I'll end up there!"
I smiled. "Go home." He muttered. "It'll be easier there."
And so she did.
And we had a pattern.
And one night, I felt her soul enter my realm.
She had died.
But not a unhappy death, but a nice, happy death that was peaceful, like a childhood pet being put down.

Chapter Six
Luna
I became the princess of Darkrai's realm. His first friend.
It was annoying not being able to leave the castle. But it was safer that way. Some of the souls would take their anger out on me. I learned this the hard way. I had scars to show it.
I was new here.
It was easy to get lost as well.
My first day here I ended up in an alley when I entered a building.
Darkrai took great care of me. He was nervous now a days, as when I died my parents managed to get me a Lunar Feather. This could end up summing Cressselia.
And one day she came.
