"That's easy to remember and doesn't sound too bad. Works for me."
Hyperion said, as he thought about the name.
"So, Team Blast it is, then!" The King said, "I'll make sure to
mark you two down. Now, for your first job: Some of our Psychics
saw visions of the Darkrai attacking us from the Dark Woods up
north. I want you two to get up there, search for the mischievous
pokemon, and try to stop it. If possible, bring it back here for
questioning."
"Yeah..." Hyperion said, a bit discouraged. Their first job, and it
was involved with something one of them was weak against.
"Do not worry. I have sent others into the Woods, including a group
of 3 fighting types. You're not alone in this fight." After he was
done saying that, one of the King's subjects came rushing in. "Your
majesty, it's...the council, again." The King sighed and said,
"Alright, I'm coming. Sorry, you two. I'll have to go, now. I wish
you the best of luck...what was it...oh yes, Team Blast!" After
that, he left, leaving them there to decide their next step.
Hyperion tried his hardest to have a voice filled with confidence,
even thought that was far from what he was feeling right now. "Yes,
let's go. It would look bad on our side if we back out of our first
job." Hyperion began to float to the door.
As they went about through the forest, they saw many kinds of
pokemon, but couldn't find anything that looked even remotely like
a Darkrai. "Could it be that the Psychics were wrong?"
"Probably not. Let's continue looking." After a while in the Woods,
Hyperion heard a strange noise. "What wass that?" When they got to
the spot where the sound was coming from, he noticed a Machoke
pokemon on the ground, looking like it was under torture. Its eyes
were tightly shut and it was tossing and turning. It was wearing a
necklace with the symbol of the King.
"O-One of the pokemon from the other teams! But where are its
teammates?"
The Machoke wouldn't respond and instead started flailing even
more. Hyperion went to their item bag and grabbed a Chesto Berry to
wake up the Machoke. He tried to get the Machoke to eat it, but the
Machoke only spit it out and knocked away Hyperion.
"I don't think there's anything we can do for the Machoke.
Darkrai's nightmares aren't too powerful. The most we can do right
now is try and prevent Darkrai from doing this to others." Hyperion
said.
As they came close to completely separating from the Machoke,
Hyperion heard it speak: "Wait." He looked back and saw the pokemon
slowly getting up. "Huh? How did you...?" "A beautiful pokemon in
my dream woke me up." It was probably Cresselia. "Anyway, that's
not the point. Darkrai...he started on his way to the kingdom. You
might be too late."
Hyperion was shocked. "Great! Come on Braixen, we have to go back,
right away!" He began tugging the Braixen along on his way back.
The Machoke followed along.
The Machoke used Dynamic Punch, but was put to sleep afterwards,
again, with a Dark Void attack.
"Not again." Hyperion said, "We have to be careful if we don't want
the same to happen to us." The Darkrai moved around in a funny
manner, which indicated that it was in a confused state.
