Marshall was slightly more comfortable. Still terribly uncomfortable. But less so than he had been before. He'd always recoiled at the thought of marketplaces, even though Fallow enjoyed the bustle. It had been like this every second that they had been running--even their small moments of shelter had been spoilt with fear. The air around him seemed to be constantly ringing, so tense that it made him wanted to burst. He remembered thinking that he would be able to calmly handle any situation if he trained hard enough. Nowadays Marshall pitied his younger self.
He drew closer to Fallow's side as he scanned the area, still not feeling safe enough. An alleyway or something would have made him feel better but he supposed that a quiet part in the city would do.
