I shot up from my bed at my alarm's buzzing at 7am, almost flinging Purrloin onto the floor. "Sorry!" The smell of fresh pancakes and bacon was in the air. I ran downstairs in my fairy type themed pajamas. Today is a special day. Today is the day I finally began my Journey! "You're not that much in a rush to leave me are you?" My mom kid putting the ready plates of food on the table. "Like you weren't excited on your first day." I replied smelling the delicious scent of breakfast. I sat down at the tablet made for four with my 3 year old brother on the opposite side. Two pancakes, two pieces of bacon, four strawberries, and orange juice on side, yum! I poored syrup onto the pancakes and started to chow down.
"I want to go with Jessie!" My little brother said in his hard to understand speech. "Hey Mom, can Grayson come with me to pick up my Pokémon from the Professor? I'll drop him off back here and show you my new Pokémon before I go." Purrloin curled up next to my chair's leg. She doesn't like to eat first thing in the morning. "Sure, just keep an eye on him." Grayson squeed and joyfully swung his legs in the chair. I finished my plate, but Mom took it from me before I could wash it off. "Go ahead and get ready for your big day." I picked Purrloin up and cuddled with her. "Thanks, Mom." Still carrying Purrloin I walked upstairs.
"Are you ready, Purrloin?" "Meow!" I grabbed a towl and started heading towards the bathroom. "I'm going to take my shower now. See you when I'm dressed." I did my routine and got dressed. I wear my brown hair to the side, light red skirt, white tucked shirt, and a light top over that. I put my favorite heart shaped necklace with angelic wings and halo on, slid my feet into brown booties and grabbed my bag that carries all the thing I will need. Purrloin ran upstairs. "Did you finish eating?" She meowed back telling me she was full. "Good. Don't forget this." I hand her the scarf we gave her when she first became part of our family. Purrloin was a stray I would occasionally feed as a child. One day she followed me home, then it began to rain. I couldn't leave her out there, so I brought her in. I thought Mom would be mad, but she's not cold hearted. I gave her a bath, dried her off, and put my pink scarf on her. She wears it everyday since.
I walked back down stairs with Purrloin. "Ready, Grayson?" I asked loudly so he could hear me from where ever he was. "He's already waiting for you outside in the front yard." Mom answered. "Okay. We'll be going now. I love you, Mom." I waved her off as me, Purrloin and Grayson started walking down the road towards the lab. "Can I get a Pokémon?" Grayson asked with sparkles in his eyes. "Sorry, you're not old enough to get one from the lab yet." "But Jessie, you already have Purrloin!" I looked at the cutie that walked next to me on all fours. "Yes, but I'm not getting a starter. I'm getting a different Pokémon that Professor Pines says he thinks would like to join us on our travels." We were arriving at the lab. I pushed the door open and Grayson and Purrloin ran in excitedly. I walked up to Professor Pines that had a a Pokémon with reddish fur. Purrloin ran to the Pokémon, happy to meet a new friend. "Hi, Grayson! Hi, Jessie! Excited for your big day?" Smiling, "Sure am! Is this the cutie that wants to go on an adventure?" I squatted down smiling and petting the Pokémon which seemed to enjoy it. "This is Vulpix. A fire type Pokémon. She's been restless waiting for you. Guess my talking about you got her really pumped to meet you. Here is her Pokéball."
Professor Pines gave me the Pokéball. "Remember us talking about this?" He handed me a device. "It's a Pokédex. It registers the Pokémon you encounter and helps us learn more about them. Thank you for helping us with our research." I turned it on and pointed it at Vulpix. "Inside Vulpix's body burns a flame that never goes out. During the daytime, when the temperatures rise, this Pokémon releases flames from its mouth to prevent its body from growing too hot." I closed the Pokédex. "Thank you Professor!" Professor Pines goes to his table and grabs something else. "Just one more thing." He handed my 5 pokéballs. "Thank you." I put all items into my bag. "Remember you can only hold 6 Pokémon at a time. If you need to, send me Pokémon over the PC that is located in all Pokémon Centers." Grayson, Purrloin, and Vulpix were all playing with each other in the lab.
"Thank you so much Professor!" Professor Pines smiled and nodded. "Are we ready to leave? Your new Pokémon is so soft and pretty!" Petting Vulpix, Grayson was ready to leave. "Yea, okay. Thanks Professor. I'll be heading to the next town over after I say by to my mom. Bye!" We all ran out happy. We walked into the house where my Mom was waiting. Vulpix pushed in observing the new surrounding. "Oh, is that your new Pokémon? A Vulpix, how cute! Now Purrloin has another Pokémon she can play and battle with." She fed Vulpix and Purrloin poffins. "We'll be too busy battling other trainers and wild Pokémon." Purrloin meowed in agreement. Purrloin loved to battle, although she didn't win them all. We said our goodbyes and I went off on my new Adventure with Purrloin and new friend Vulpix.
