Leli, an intern working for Silph Co., is the only survivor of a deadly boat crash, and is now stranded on a deserted island. Using only the most basic of supplies, she and her only remaining Pokémon, a Larvesta named Sunfire, struggle to survive in a hostile environment. As the two explore deeper and deeper into the wilderness, they begin to uncover the secrets of an ancient civilization, and come to the eerie realization that the boat crash may not have been an accident...

Prologue

Water, everywhere. I searched for my team. Sunfire was clinging tightly to my shoulder, whimpering. "Oliver! Marie! Twilight!" I screamed for my cousins and sibling. I heard a muffled cry from Oliver, assuming he had water in his mouth. "Hurry!" someone yelled. I couldn't search for my Lapras, Serperior, Togetic, Amaura, or Milotic anymore. I had to leave this boat. I rushed out to the deck. I prayed that Milotic and Lapras helped Amaura. Serperior would most likely be swimming, while Togetic would fly. I wanted them to return home for me.

"Leli!" Twilight yelled. I turned to look at her, but suddenly, crack... "No!" I screamed, running over. Snap! I looked up and saw one of the poles that held the top deck up break. The top deck was falling toward my sister. But I was immobilized in fear. So was she. "Twilight! Marie! Oliver!" I yelled, tears filling my eyes as the deck crashed down onto my sibling. "No," I whispered, backing up.

I turned around and ran. As fast as I could. "Sunfire, I'm going to the water, get on my back," I whispered, barely giving the Larvesta time to scramble onto my back before diving into the ice cold water. It stung my eyes, so I had to close them. Sunfire must've felt the same, because when I resurfaced, I saw her resting on my shoulder with eyes closed.

I swam and swam, swimming for what seemed like forever. But there was an island not too far from the crash. I wonder if anyone will find it. As I finally managed to touch land, I collapsed onto my knees. "We're alive," I gasped, holding Sunfire in my arms. She hissed and scampered along the ground. I ran after her, looking for shelter. And how I wished Twilight hadn't died, and how I wished that I hadn't left everyone behind. But now...

...we were waiting for our time to run out. Sunfire and I.

Chapter 1: Three Days Past

Three days since I lost them...Three days since I couldn't find anyone...Three days since the boat began to sink.

It doesn't matter to me anymore, because I must've been blinded by the eerie fear that sent chills down our spines. Now, as I step out, all I have is a Potion, and the Pokeball of my loyal Larvesta. I looked at the glittering sphere attached to my belt. I heard the rustling in a bush, grabbing the Pokeball and prepared to send her out.

"Woah, woah, calm down," a pale girl with black hair said, stepping out of the bush. An Absol and Sylveon followed her. "Wh-" I started. She laughed. "Okay, calm down. I've lived on this island for about a year, with no hope of returning home. My name is Luna, and you are?" I rolled my pale green eyes. "My name is Leli, and my Larvesta -- who's in her Pokeball -- is Sunfire."

Luna smiled genuinely. "The Sylveon is Kawaii, that's actually his name. And the Absol is Dark Angel." I nodded, and sent out Sunfire. She yawned the second she was out, the proceeded to climb up my legs to get onto my left shoulder. "Sunfire likes my shoulder," I explained. Luna sighed. "Alright, well it looks like you could use a bit of help." The black-haired girl handed me a map that read 'Temperate Area: Known Pokémon include Nidoran Male, Vulpix, Taillow, and Rattata'.

"Thanks," I say as she walks off. "No prob, and just remember, I'll be here if you need help."
