Evelyn hung back from the others, thick book in one hand and a slung-bag over her shoulders filled with various mis-matched items, books and of course her wand. It was time to be getting to the school and she started off with a quick pace.

The first years (11 year olds) all line up at the front of the great hall. Renia marveled the size of the room. Professor McGonagall looked at her scroll and called up "Renia Curnser". Renia walked up and sat down, her hands shaking. The sorting hat was placed on her head lightly, and started to pick at her mind. "Hmmm, smart... very smart. Shaky, Scared, but Smart. She does have pride in her though. Along with courage. I'd say... RAVENCLAW!" The hat called, and was taken off her head. She went to the table of the cheering boys and girls. She sat in between a girl with blonde hair, and a boy with black hair, and dark eyes. "Hi, I'm Luna! You are?" The blonde girl asked. "Renia." She replied, and felt a pat on her back. "Well, great job! I'm Jack!" The boy said, giving her a dorky grin. She smiled, and blushed, happy she got into this house. One of the Slytherin turned to look at her, and said "Looks like another Ravenclueless joined the bunch." She shot him a glare, and he stiffened, turning back around.

Eve gulped. She knew she was next. Her last name was Dare. She was terrified, that she would be in Slytherin. Her family was made of proud Gryffindors. She wanted to be in Ravenclaw, but her family would disown her if she got in Slytherin. She watched Professor McGonagall as the teacher read her name off the list. Eve gulped and stepped forward, putting the hat on her head slowly. "Hmmmmm.... well there's a lot of stuff here, and you seem fairly smart... Hrmmmm very creative, strong wits and instinct.... Id say RAVENCLAW!!!" the hat grumbled. Eve smiled and removed the hat from her head, walking to the Ravenclaw table. "Hello!" she said, sitting down and quickly memorizing all the faces. It was easy to remember her face-- she had an eyepatch. These people were going to be in her house for the next seven years, so she was going to remember them well. She blinked one blue eye, and listened to the rest of the Sorting.

Aria's last name was Dame. Professor McGonagall read her name. She wished Shade could come, but Shade's being a dark type might not help. As the hat was put on it said Gryffindor. 'Okay thats good.' She thought as she called Shade to her a the gryffindor table.

"Wow, looks like we've got a full house! Two Ravencluless and one Gryffindork!" A Slytherin boy yelled, and received a glare from Renia. Another boy was called up, and as soon as the hat was placed on his head, it called out "Slytherin!" The boy sighed, and walked to the happy Slytherins, who clapped him on the back and high fived him. 2 more Slytherins were made, 3 Hufflepuffs, and 2 more Gryffindors. A boy stood up, and kind smile on his face. "I'll lead the first year Ravenclaws on a tour." He said, and Renia stood, walking to him. She glanced at the other girl, but was tripped by a Slytherin, and fell. The hall went silent, before the Slytherins busted out in laughter. The prefix of Ravenclaw helped her up, and she saw the teasing boy from earlier smiling, his foot stuck out. She blushed in embarrassment, her silver eyes flicking away from him to the ground.


(Gonna make a charcter forum for Ravenclaw Boy (Jack), you can make one for any of the other first years)

The 4th year glared at the Slytherin. "Shut the f@#& up." She said sternly, giving him a glare. She hated I when the Slytherins would go around acting all high and mighty when they were all just jerks.
