Maxwell huffed and pouted, his face flushing a faint red as his tail wagged slightly.
''this is embarrassing... but oddly enough that feels good.... no wonder Shadow likes having his ear's rubbed...'' he admitted, scratching at the sofa out of boredom.
Shadow trotted over and sat down, nodding at what Maxwell said.
''ear rubs are good, though head scratched are better'' he said.

"How's it embarrassing? Wolves are great," Fallow mumbled, trailing off to focus on a particularly lengthy sentence. The back door opened abruptly and Robin and Skye walked in, Skye's hair tangled and bearing a few leaves. She huffed and they sat on the couch across from Fallow and Maxwell. Robin scanned the room quickly. "Where'd Alex and Draco go?" He asked, noticing the silence.

Maxwell's ear's instantly perked up when he heard the back door open and looked over at Robin.
''they are both in they're room watching some romance movie, ill advised to disturb them unless you knock on the door'' he said.

"Ah, alright. Have Mavis and them come back yet?" He asked, only to be interrupted by an elongated chirp that seemed to be skywards. Robin and Skye's heads snapped up immediately--Fallow's reactions weren't as finely-tuned as theirs, so she was a bit late--to see Venom, crouched on the ceiling fan. His tail flicked with the energy of a dog's as he leaped from the ceiling fan and onto Robin, excited that his owner had returned. Robin, who was not that strong, was knocked to the ground when met by his Beast. Skye laughed in the background.

Maxwell and Shadow both started laughing a bit at what happened with Robin as Crystal walked over and looked up at Skye.
''they have yet to return, and i'm getting rather worried about them now'' the she-wolf said, ear's flattened slightly.

"Well, Mavis did mention how far away it is. I'm sure those particular three would have a hard time staying on task, too," Robin offered when he got up, but it seemed as if even he didn't believe it. So much had happened in the past that he could only assume the worst. The question had brought a cloud of worry that seemed to suffocate their thoughts, the silence of the room only broken by the anxious ticking of the clock. Fallow held her rabbit close to her stomach for reassurance and bit her lip, now overwhelmed with anxiety. It was getting worse for her.
"They'll probably be headed back now," Skye murmured, tucking her hair behind her ear and looking at the door. "I think half an hour or so and we should start looking for them." Her lips were pressed together into a thin line of worry.
Robin glanced at her from the side, hating her direct approach--he wanted so badly to not address the topic, but it seemed that Skye never played along.

Crystal pinned her ear's back and looked down, obviously worried sick about Viola being gone for so long.
Shadow walked over and lightly nudged Crystal's muzzle, trying to comfort her.
''it's alright.... they'll be back soon..'' he murmured.
Maxwell sat up and pulled Fallow into a hug, kissing her on the forehead.

Venom's head perked up and he skittered over to Fallow, jumping on the couch and licking her arm in an attempt to reassure her. Robin smiled somberly at the beast, taking a deep breath before looking out the window. The heat had dragged on throughout the day and he couldn't imagine what it was like for the Darkness fantasies of the household and had certainly noticed Skye's irritability rising. He walked over to the window and fumbled with the curtain a bit before it went down, although all it seemed to do was mute the brightness and cast a golden hue on the room.

Marshall was preoccupied with the weather beast in front of him, who seemed comfortable if not tolerant of his presence. "Have you noticed how we haven't met any Beasts since we got here? Usually, they're drawn to us because of our powers or something." He peeled an orange and handed it to Tempest, who sniffed it before timidly taking it in his jaw and eating it. The creature, Marshall had noticed, moved incredibly slowly when left to his own will.
"I think he's been warding them off. For Fallow, maybe," Mavis added, looking over her shoulder. "We should get going. We've taken long enough, anyway."

Viola was sitting up on Tempest's back hugging the massive creature's cloud like mane happily, enjoying the extreme fluffiness.

(ONE WEEK TIME SKIP WOO)

Marshall and Skye sat quietly by the side of the lake, both of them freely using their Fantasy powers to mess with the water. Skye's eyes lightened with sparks and a mischevious grin upturned her face. "What if we used electricity to--"
"Skye, no," Marshall interrupted, looking over his shoulder and wondering where everyone else was.

Dawn and Jasper sat across from each other in the loft, Dawn's eyes expecting and stoic. "Jasper, I'm about to quit on you," she snapped, her forehead creasing with stress. "I don't care if you need time. Look, I-i know that you know where she is."
Jasper stuffed his hands into his pockets and idly looked out the window. "Fine. But listen--Fallow's got that stubborn boyfriend of hers that I doubt she's going to leave behind, and if you just jump up on her like that she's going to be conflicted and confide in the people she loves the most. Sadly for us, those people can't know we're here."
"She's not going to abandon me again. I'm her sister and I'm going to get her." She jumped to her feet and grabbed her knapsack.
"You'd better come back alone," Jasper retorted as she walked away, his eyes trailing her.

Maxwell was inside the house in the room him and Fallow share, relaxing in the jacuzzi like bath(wearing a pair of boxers of course), and was laying back with arm's resting in the water as he stared up at the ceiling.
dear god i'm so stiff, practicing my power's abilities is a lot more draining then i thought it would be.... Fallow makes it look so easy he thought, running a hand through his hair.

Alex and Viola both were sitting across from each other under a tree near Marshall and Skye and were talking, Crystal sleeping soundly beside her.

Draco was off exploring and doing a perimeter check as he does so.

Fallow crawled through the window, tediously so that the frame didn't brush whatever was cradled in her arms. A high-pitched whinny emerged from the creature and she cooed at it, looking down with soft eyes. "Maxwell," she said softly, an overwhelming smile on her face. Fawn nudged herself out from under the bed and on Fallow's feet, to which Fallow kneeled down and revealed the small owl that now rested on her lap.

he perked up as Fallow called his name, as well as the sound the creature made, and sat up before he turned his body around a bit where he sat and looked at the owlet she found.
''aw, where's the little one's parents?'' Maxwell asked, a little curious.

The owl stretched out its wings and cooed, looking around the room curiously from the safety of Fallow's lap. "There's been a lot of Beasts around this forest... y'know, with so many Fantasies, they're drawn to us or whatever... usually Tempest struts around and wards them off, b-but..." A small croak cut off her sentence, her eyes watering from just thinking about the owlet, "one of them got through to his parents," she mumbled, lightly stroking its head with a finger.

Maxwell blinked and got up, grabbing a towel as he climbed out and dried off, tying the towel around his waist and slipping on a tank top before he walked over to Fallow.
he got down onto his knee's beside her and gently placed his hand on her forearm.
''hey.... it's alright, you got to him before anything else did so he's safe...'' he assured quietly.
Maxwell looked down at the owlet and held his other hand out towards the little feathered orphan.
''we can be his new parents'' he suggested.

"O-oh, alright," Fallow said, distracted by the owlet in its preciousness. She'd taken care of many abandoned animals growing up, but just thinking about the owlet's situation depressed her (and reminded her of her own family). "What should we call him?" She asked, handing the creature over to Matthew and pulling her knees to her chest. "Minnow always said that it was a terrible idea to name creatures when you've just gotten them, so you don't get too attached, but... I think it's already too late for that," she added, smiling sadly.

''well... how about Dusk?'' he said as an idea for a name, surprised with how calm he was.
