Faith looked up from her book."Interesting."She muses quietly while
shifting her bag.In it was some clothes, books, and her dolly
Anubis."It would be nice to sleep a bit."
"Honestly this whole thing is stupid-what kind of prideful
loser are you to stay here for a whole month? The only reason why
i'm even here is because Lulu wanted to do it. And aren't
most of you just a bunch of kids? Like, where are your pa-" Sasha's
rant was rudely interrupted by Lucille suddenly groaning as she
pinched the bridge of her nose. "Alright, alright! They get it lil
bro! Chill out for like five seconds. It's not a crime as long as
you don't get caught." She attempted to booty bump him but he
rebelliously moved out the way, glaring at her. "I learned stuff
from boy scouts or something, we'll totally be fine!" Lucille
loudly exclaimed to the group, earning her a snarky remark ("says
the one that dropped out after a week") from Sasha. The twins
bickered for a bit, not paying attention to the rest of the
group.
Faith looked up at Sasha."My parents are at home going through
their second honeymoon. Why do you think they agreed for me to come
up here?I got out of their way for free and they can do what they
wish."She muses quietly before going back to reading her book.
Mira shrugged. "My parents think we're staying in a cabin being
served hand-made sushi and root beer floats. But, oh well," She
opened her bag and got out a blanket.
Maria rolled her eyes at Sasha, scoffing lightly. "Oh,
please. You have to admit it's gonna be fun. If you can't do that,
then don't call us prideful losers for coming up here when your own
sister wanted to. If you do that, doesn't mean your saying the same
about her?" She said snakily, and Oliver winced. "Mae, please..."
He whimpered, placing his hand on her shoulder.
Adrin flinched, and decided to get away from the bickering by
setting up some tents. She unzipped the bag, pulling out some pipes
and fabric bundled together. She pulled out about 7 bundles, and
sighed. "Some people will have to share, I suppose..." She hummed
softly, unwrapping the bundles.
Hearing the twins' arguing, Marshall
laughed. But it didn't last long, as he punched the air, almost
hitting Mystique. "Honestly, I need something to fight. If I didn't
have this dumb feeling--"
"It's not your fault, Mar," Mystique muttered, rolling his eyes.
"You're forced into a life of violence just to keep your family
going. Is that really some-"
"Oi, shush Stick. No one's asking you."
"Alright, but when someone asks you out and you flip I'm gonna
laugh. Which I never do."
"Whatever, Stick."
The two b r o s continued their amusing conversation, which
consisted of them ranting about a certain Lauren Amiya's strange
tendencies to scream about despair. ("Thank goodness she isn't here
or she'd probably kill us." -Marshall) They both knew that their
rather masculine personality-wise, she looked pretty feminine no
matter how hard she tried. friend wasn't afraid of beating
someone up for her friends.
Honestly, though, they were curious about her despair rants so they
went back to that.
Adrin looked up at Faith and gave a soft smile. "That'd be
wonderful! We only have seven tents, so it seems that everyone must
share..." She said softly, glancing around. "So I dunno how that
will go down." She admitted, standing with the bundle in her arms.
"So all you really have to do is slide this elongated, bendable
pole through this little hole." She showed her slowly, "and keep
pushing it in. The pole is around ten feet and it goes all around
the tent. So all you have to do is push it in until there's none
left. It should just be set up then, I think..." In the time Adrin
had explained, the tent was set up. She set it down properly, since
it was pretty light. "So yeah!" She smiled at Faith
widely.
"Are you really gonna start something with me? I could
honestly care less when it comes to what I call her-she's only here
cuz she wanted "a change of pace" or something like that. It's
people like you who can't keep their mouth shut that are
just some prideful losers especially since your pride wants
to suddenly have a bone to pick with me." He hissed back, earning
an unamused look from Lucille. "Lil bro can you just take a
breather for a few? Really appreciate it." She quickly said to him
then turned back to Maria. "I don't need someone else to keep my
baby brother in check, so why don't you just stay outta it,
alright?" She said in a not exactly friendly tone.
Faith nods at the explanation and smiles back at Adrin before
getting to work. The tents were easy to put up in her opinion as she
started to put one up."Your right. The fact that we may have to
share might not go over so well."She admits softly.A thought came
to her making her blink a bit and look at Adrin."I don't think I
have introduced myself yet.I am Faith."
Mira only sat back and watched the bickering few, and the two who
seemed to be getting along. She didn't want to step in; instead,
she wrapped herself in the blanket and leaned against a rock, only
watching the scenes. She soon found herself running her hand over
her hair.
Mystique and Marshall walked over to
Faith and Adrin. "Could we be of some assistance?" Mystique asked
politely. Marshall appeared to be squealing, murmuring something
about 'emo boy coming out of his shell'. Mystique rolled his eyes,
smirking. "I'm gonna punch you, Mar," the emo teen remarked,
putting an arm around his friend's shoulder.
"I'd like to see you try, Stick," Marshall responded, using the
same gesture. Funny thing is, that's rather normal for the two
friends. Always threatening to fight each other, but never doing
it. They're just too nice to each other to injure the other.
Mystique let go first, taking a serious expression again.
"Anyway, I wasn't kidding about wanting to help. Not sure about
Mar, but I'm sure he'd love to help. Right Mar?"
*Tom watches everyone get along except him and steps back a bit
then continues to walk,a little distance back from them* Im just
glad they are being positive *he thinks to himself*
Maria looked a bit taken aback by both of the words of the
siblings. She wrinkled up her nose in a scowl at them, and glanced
at Oliver to see him giving a look that said "Don't mess with
them..." She huffed, and looked back to the two. "Fine. Whatever.
But you didn't have to be such a jerk about it. Your brother really
needs to pick up some people skills... Actually, both of you could
use some. But whatever. Don't come to me or anyone else when you
need help because he won't listen to you." She hissed at the girl,
turning away. She stomped off, leaving Oliver to watch her go. She
went and sat on a rock under a large tree. She sat for a moment,
staring off into space before buring her head in her knees.
The little boy turned and looked at the siblings. "I'm really sorry
about her... She's a good person, I swear. It's just that she...
Has problems figuring out how to make people like her. She can snap
when people don't listen, because she feels like she's only trying
to help. I'm really sorry, though. Please... Don't judge her by her
first impression..." He said to both of them, his tiny hands
clasped together. He hoped they might listen, but from the first
conversation he heard from them, they probably wouldn't. He might
be making things worse. He felt his stomach fill with dread the
longer silence fell.
Adrin smiled to Faith. "I'm Adrin. It's nice to meet you, Faith."
She hummed, picking up another bundle, looking to the other boys.
She gave a friendly smile. "Of course! Here, let me show you
how..." She began to give the same explanation she gave to Faith,
and by the end of the explanation she had finished the tent. "There
should be four more bundles next to the bag." She hummed, setting
the tent about a foot away from her last one.
Mira finally found she couldn't sit there forever. She sighed and
took the blanket off, slipping it into her bag. Having heard the
tent explanation twice now, she went over and grabbed a bundle for
herself, setting it up silently. Stupid anxiety. Just go talk to
someone! What's the worst that could happen? She thought,
frustrated with herself. She would surely freeze up if she
did try to strike a conversation, as she knew. But maybe
this time will be different?
Faith finished with the tent she was working on and set it a foot
away from Adrin's before picking up another one.As she bent down
her doll, Anubis, fell out of her bag.It looked to be made up of
yawn and had black hair with little black button eyes.It had a
smile that was stitched into place.Faith had not noticed her doll
had fallen out of her bad and continued to work on setting up her
second tent.
