Irwin smiled at the offering of the boy to take picture of rainbow for him, he was growing quite fond of Oliver in a small amount of time. He looked at boy ready to thank him but them Oliver coughed. Irwin was surprised that he didn't see it coming, normally he would notice a change in breathing but this time he was caught off guard. This only made him surprised of the fact that his butler gave the job to someone who could get sick easily. But, this boy wasn't sick. No, this fairy was as healthy as they come. He added it to list of things to ask the boy.

Just as he wanted to tell the boy about the moonbows, he smelt a soft scent of fear. He was surprised. Nothing that he said before really scared the fairy. So what did he say to make the fear go through Oliver's blood? Then he realized how serious the situation was. This little boy didn't have any idea about blood titles. He had no idea how anyone could not know about blood and power hierarchy. Then it hit him. 'It seems that supernaturals now live just like humans. Only aristocracy didn't adapt to the world around them.' He realized. He heard stories that were told in darkest corners of pretty balls. Stories of supernaturals leaving their blood titles and taking much more human-like jobs. He was not shocked because he saw many changes in their ways of living in his long life. However, it was never this fast for change to happen. He decided on telling Oliver everything the boy wanted to know before he asked his questions.

''It's alright. You have every right to ask questions.'' As he looked at the boy once again, he once again noticed all the differences between them but this time in another light. ''I am surprised that you didn't learn this in school. But at the same time, I am not surprised. I guess that times really changed.'' He whispered it with obvious sadness in his voice. ''First of all...'' He said while looking at Oliver. ''You will see who the higher are in the way they walk, the way they talk and the way they will look at you. They will look at you like you are nothing. They will be dressed in clothes that are probably more expensive than anything your family owns.'' He added on. There was pride in what he said and he didn't realize how rude it sounded.

''Second. No, you will not be allowed to talk to me except if you see me getting into a fight.'' He looked Oliver in the eyes to make sure how serious he was. ''Unfortunately, if you talk to someone who is higher than you in ranks without them starting the conversation, you will have to pay conveniences. No, you won't be fired or killed. Instead, you will have to suffer a public beating. I am against it but it's still in the old rules and I have to follow them.''

Oliver nodded, listening intently. He swallowed softly, and ran a hair through his hair slowly. He nodded at things he began to understand, and he bit the inside of his cheek. He understood the things, and felt almost stupid for not understanding it before this.

He gulped as he said "Second," and continued to listen. He sighed. He wouldn't be allowed to talk to Irwin... Dang. He stiffened again as he spoke about public beatings. He felt a shiver shake his spine softly. He but the insid rig his cheek harder, making a light amount of blood leak into his mouth.

"Uhm, will the beating occur if I speak to you as well? And what kind of beating is it? Whipping? Cutting of fingers or toes?" He questioned, his voice and throat dry. He didn't want to mess up, not when he could get himself hurt. He was very bad when it came to pain. He swallowed the lump in his throat, gripping his skirt in his fists softly.

''Unfortunately, yes,'' Irwin answered Oliver's question. ''Beating will happen if you talk to me. In most cases, it's just whipping, but some of us ask for so much more. I have seen things that I would rather not talk about, happen to those who broke rules put by our society.'' He remembered all of the monstrosities some of the royals did to their lower status escort for breaking rules. He wasn't surprised by it but he also didn't want to see it happen ever again. It made him come to the thought that it might be time for them to follow the example humans have made but he knew that won't happen so soon with the aristocracy.

The smell of fear was now clear in the air all around him and it was permeated with another smell. He couldn't really put a finger on what the smell was. It was a sweet smell just like the one of the flowers in his garden. At the same time, it was a well-known smell of blood. He was sure that it came from the boy, but he was unsure whether it was a smell of the fairies blood or something else. He didn't even notice but he was lurking over boy sniffing him. He just had to find out where that sweet smell was coming from.

He heard the sound of bat's wings and looked away without realizing what he was doing just a few moments before. In seconds he was back to his professional self. ''I understand that you must be frightened by what you just learned but I promise you that if you learn and keep to all the rules this society has nothing bad will happen to you.'' He said while still looking in the direction of bats.

Oliver nodded, listening with wide eyes. He blinked as Irwin sniffed, and leaned back a bit as the vampire began to sniff him. He let out a laugh, finding it utterly adorable. His laugh was soft and sweet, as sweet as a bird's call. He let a soft tint of pink cover his cheeks, and straightened as Irwin stopped. He still had a soft smile. He turned to look at the bats, fighting the urge to coo. He found them utterly adorable.

Oliver crossed his ankles as Irwin spoke again. If he just stayed in order, he'd be fine. He shook his head, his strawberry hair fanning out a bit. This vampire didn't understand. The fear of messing up was very strong in Oliver. He swore he could label it as a legitament phobia, honestly. He opened his mouth to speak, but his breath caught with the need to cough. He turned away, coughing into his elbow almost violently. His little body shook with the tremors from the coughs. He just had really bad coughing fits on occasion, he wasn't sick. He had them often when he was nervous.

"No, I just.. I'm scared I'll mess it up. On accident. Talk to someone I shouldn't and... Get beat to hell." Oliver whimpered a bit, voice soft from coughing. He shivered softly. He looked up at Irwin, bright blue eyes wide and fearful. More blood dripped from the inside of his cheek, making his mouth feel rusty.

Irwin could still smell fear radiating from Oliver's body. He felt sorry for the little boy and the fell just got stronger when boy shook and caught. He still wasn't sure what was happening to the boy's body because Oliver wasn't sick, at least from what Irwin could see. And when the boy spoke of his fears, Irwin could only offer a kind smile. He knew how bad a fear of messing up could be, he saw it on many supernaturals and even experienced it once himself. So he knew that once you fail, you can only become stronger. At least from what he experienced.

''Listen, it's best if you don't talk to anyone if they don't speak with you.'' He took a deep breath, smelling blood and flowers again. He looked the boy in the eyes. ''If you really do mess up...'' He looked away and remembered the only time one of his protectors messed up. He knew that Oliver isn't anything like that protector. ''I can take the punishment for you.'' He said. He knew that punishment isn't the same if it's put on the aristocracy and normal folk. He knew that it was a way worse. Not only that you suffer a beating but you also became a social outcast if you agree for such a thing to be done to you just so it isn't done to your 'pet' as aristocracy calls them.

'Pets' are any kind of supernaturals that are not any kind of aristocracy. They are treated better than servants but they are not seen as anything else than an accessory. That's why most of the aristocracy got another aristocratic member of lower rank to help them if they need it. Irwin knew that it was better to give an opportunity to those who weren't part of aristocracy because there was a lower risk of them turning on you.

Oliver shivered again, but looked up at Iwrin when he offered a smile. He smiled back softly. He wiped his cheek softly, thinking there was something on it. There wasn't. He sighe slightly, running a hand through his hair. He shivered once more, this time mostly from the cold. He smiled lightly at Irwin.

He blinked when Irwin spoke. He almost gasped as Irwin said he would take the punishment. "No, Irwin! I couldn't ask you to do that! I'm sure I can power through. I'll be okay!" He said, giving a tiny smile. It seemed to be all he could manage at this point. He crossed his arms, still pretty cold. He sighed.

"Hey, uhm, was there ever a time when... One of your protectors got punished? It's okay if not or if you don't wanna tell me, I'm just a little curious." He asked, tilting his head and looking up at Irwin. "I mean, you know us fairies. Nosey little buggers, yeah?" He joked, giving a grin. He shrugged, and rubbed his nose a bit. He pressed his tongue against his mouth wound, letting the blood drip onto his muscle.

Irwin offered a kind smile when Oliver said that he can bear the punishment. He underestimated the boy and his straight. Now he knew that even though boy might be his smallest protector in size, Oliver truly was worthy to be his protector. And with that in mind, he knew that he won't let any harm come boy's way.

''Well, I worked with only two other fairies so I wouldn't know.'' He stopped when he noticed that the boy was shaking. It surprised him that he didn't notice it earlier. Because of it, he decided to move the conversation in the house but maybe he decided it so he could avoid the question.

''Let's go inside. I wouldn't want you to catch a cold on your first day.'' He said compassionately and realized that this was the perfect opening for one of his questions. As he got up and walked to the house, he decided to ask a question. ''When we are talking about sickness, are you sick in some way? I noticed that you caught a lot.'' He said it in somewhat monotone voice and if a person wasn't looking straight in his face they wouldn't know that he actually asked it because he was curious.

Oliver felt a little sad that Irwin wouldn't answer his question. But he understood the aversion as sensitivity to the topic, so he decided not to dive into it anymore. He stood and brushed off his skirt, rubbing his eye momentarily. He adjusted his skirt a bit, and he followed Irwin inside. He smiled, and looked at Irwin's hand. The temptation to hold his hand was strong, mostly because Oliver loved affectionate physical contact.

His footsteps were light as he walked, barely making a noise. His feet were small and light, and his footsteps were bound to be the same. There was only a noise if you were paying close attention or you had incredible hearing. But otherwise it was practically silent as Oliver walked inside across the grass. He still stared at his hand until Irwin spoke up again. At this point, Oliver was inside and turned around to face Irwin.

"Oh, I'm not sick. I just have horrid coughing fits when I'm nervous. Trust me, it gets worse than that." Oliver said softly, scratching the back of his neck. He looked up at Irwin, smiling. He found himself studying the supernatural being's face. He felt his smile turn to one of adoration. Irwin was very handsome.

Oliver's face flushed, and he looked away. He felt a bit hot inside, considering he was still wearing his hoodie. He pulled at the sleeves a bit, and glanced back up at Irwin. "Uhm, may I take my jacket off? It's a bit hot in here, actually." He asked, smiling. He found himself being bipolar in temperature, cold one moment and hot the next. He sighed.

When Oliver was facing him Irwin offered a smile but when Oliver spoke about him condition he frowned. If he was honest he never heard about it before. And he lived long enough to hear about a lot of different things. He smiled when he remembered some of those things humans believed. Humans were surely interesting.

He looked at the small boy in front of him and smiled. Fairies were interesting, too if you asked him. He really didn't know much about them but they were one of the oldest supernaturals. And prettiest. He couldn't remember that he ever saw an ugly fairy. Or bad dressed one. And when he checked out Oliver again he could see just how nice he looked. Irwin looked away and decided to answer boys question. He did notice blush that appeared but he decided that it was just because it was really hot inside when you come in from the garden.

''Yes, you can take off your jacket.'' He said and turned in direction of the next room. ''You didn't even have to ask me.'' He said as he opened doors that lead back to the foyer. There was a difference between aesthetics of two rooms but somehow they looked like they matched. He kept doors opened so Oliver can walk out. Honestly, he didn't do it because it was a nice gesture. He did it because he wanted to see how Oliver will react.

Oliver slipped off his jacket, showing his grey crop top underneath. Realizing it may have not been the most appropriate shirt to wear, since it showed his stomach, he blushed. He tied his jacket around his waist by the sleeves, covering half of his stomach. He sighed, and pulled at the bottom of the crop top for a moment, trying to get it to meet the fabric of the jacket. It didn't. So he gave up.

Oliver noticed Irwin open the doors to the foyer, and blinked. He slipped into the next room, and gazed around. He found himself in awe as he realized how the two rooms matched... yet they didn't. He peered back into the other room, then back into the foyer. He smiled lightly. His eyes shined with appreciation.

"These rooms are... beautiful. It's so amazing how they seem to be opposing yet similar at the same time." He hummed, his voice filled with the same awe in his eyes. His lips were upturned in a sweet smile as he looked to Irwin. "This home is so beautiful." He added, complimenting the manor and the owner. He blinked, taking his eyes off of Irwin to look back at the foyer.

Irwin was already next to the door when he heard the rustle of the fabric. Holding the door, he turned around and looked at Oliver. As soon as he noticed little skin that was showing through places that fairy's jacket and crop top didn't cover up, he looked in the foyer. Unfortunately for him, he forgot the reason why he was holding the door.

Irwin sighed quietly just as Oliver complimented house. A kind smile took place on his face. ''I am glad that you like it.'' He stopped and thought a bit. ''But it seems like you were never in a house of noble. That leads me to the question of your blood title. Would you like to tell me about it?'' As he was talking he closed the door and followed fairy boy into the foyer. He noticed a change in his way of speaking and acting and he was sure that Oliver will notice it, too. He knew that the change was brought by the presence of the protector and bonding that happened between two of them in the garden. Even though, he wasn't sure why he opened so much to someone he just met.

Lazy tick-tock sound of a clock made him look up and he noticed that it was almost time for lunch and he smiled. ''If you want to you can tell me more about yourself during the lunch that will start in less than an hour. We both have to get ready for it. I can lead you to your room.'' He said as he walked over to the staircase made of black marble.

Oliver looked at Iwrin with wide blue eyes, before smiling. Irwin seemed to have changed a bit. "Oh? No, I've never been a member of a noble family. I've always been in... Low middle class. I suppose my blood title is mediocre. I've never been high up in anything. Other than flying, of course." He said before they had looked to the clock. He gave it a glance, and his eyes widened. He'd definitely have to change his sleep cycle, it seemed. He sniffled a yawn, pressing his tongue against the inside of his cheek to see if it was still bleeding. It was, but very little.

He looked up at Irwin when he spoke, and scampered to follow him to the stairs. "Oh? That'd be nice! By getting ready for lunch... I don't think I have many /proper/ clothes for the meal." He said softly, and clasped his hands together as he passed up the stairs alongside Irwin. He reached down and tightened the arms of his jacket around his waist, since it was starting to slip down to his hips. He swallowed, and clasped his hands back together.
