Sign-Ups

Due to the way gijinka children were being treated in normal schools, none of them were able to attend an average high school without major behavioral issues of all children and a terrible environment for everyone involved. So, instead of being forced to go to these hostile environments on a regular basis, a school was built specifically for both teachers and students of gijinka kind.

The bell rings on the first day of the inaugural year for gijinka high. Laura quietly makes her way towards her class, book clutched to her chest and eyes on the floor. She didn't know anyone here and didn't expect to. She was too shy to interact or really make friends with anyone.

Oliver walked down the hall, messenger bag holding his books. He smiled, glancing at Harper, who stood by him. She was taller, standing at 5'7". He was shorter, obviously, standing at a meet 4'9". Harper looked down at him, and smiled. He smiled back, letting out a sweet giggle. He was a little scared.

A 5'7 gijinka was walking down the hallway of his school, minding his own business and glanced for any sort of drama. He sighed in relief when he saw none and continued his way. Of course, that was, before he bumped into Oliver. Arin, the gijinka, dropped his books and groaned. "Move out of the way when someone's walking, idiot," Arin growled at him. He kneeled down to collect his books, agitated while doing so.

Nyx quickly made her way into the school right as the bell rang.O..Oh dear m..me I am going to be l..late.She thinks to herself as she quickly makes her way to her locker to put the books she won't need for the next few classes away.She quietly shuts the locker before running to her first class."M..M..Mathmatics first thing in the m..m..m..morning.This should be f..f..fun."She mutters to herself as she sits down.

A tall woman at 6'2", Auras stood in the hallway of her classroom. She patiently waited for her students to trickle into their classroom. She gave each nervous teenager her usual calm smile, and welcomed each into the classroom happily. She also looked out at the hallway of interesting and beautiful students, beginning to memorize the faces of these kids. She was glad to be able to teach in a school built entirely for her kind. Auras was always lenient about the bell on the first day. She didn't mind that students would be a bit late.

Laura came into math quietly, walking in with her book in hand and taking a seat far in the back, quietly burying herself in her novel. She made herself small and hid her face behind her book, not wanting to interact at the moment. The teacher wasn't quite talking yet, so she stayed silent and just read.

"Have a 'nice' day," Arin said before walking off with his books, going to the classroom that was on his schedule. "Good morning, ma'am," Arin greeted the teacher, a bit quietly. He sat down near Hadrian and sighed. "Hello, friendo," Arin greeted with no enthusiasm.

Nyx opened her mathmatics book and pulled out a piece of paper,pen,and calculator from a binder she had on her.She sat fidgeting before pulling out a Sherlock Holmes novel and reading it to pass the time.

Auras finally walked into her classroom, deciding that she'd given enough padding for the students. As she walked in she greeted the class, "Hello, everyone..." she stopped talking as she saw a students feet up on the desk. "Young man, please take your feet off the table." she didn't mention the phone in his hand. Her tone was calm and with no accusation. As much as he seemed to be a troublemaker, she wasn't one to judge on appearance. Again she addressed the whole classroom, "Everyone, books and things away, it's time for class." her voice was calm and soft. She was comfortable in her position and took control easily.

Laura put away her book hurriedly, before pulling out her mathematics supplies and returning her attention to the teacher, sitting calmly in her desk and watching Auras.

Arin was slightly agitated by Hadrian's behavior but ignored it. He decided to look around the classroom and saw a young gijinka reading a Sherlock Holmes novel. Nerd, Arin said in his mind.
He obeyed the teacher and dropped an enormous amount of books onto the ground, waiting for Auras to give another command.

Auras gave a small sigh at the student who refused to listen to her. That's alright, his grades will show it. she thought to herself, as she did with most students of his nature. As long as he wasn't disturbing anyone else, this was perfectly alright. "Let's just get acquainted with what you'll be working with this year." Auras drew a complicated formula up on the whiteboard and began carefully explaining it's parts. "There's no need to take notes today." she commented towards the beginning of her speech, "Just pay attention and you'll be alright."

Regardless of Auras' comment, Laura had out her notebook and had copied down the equation. Math had always been her favorite subject, so this felt like her realm and she was ready to get into it. As Auras talked she wrote down more and more points, drawing arrows in her notebook and smiling faintly as she was able to focus in.

Arin focused his eyes and ears on Auras, preparing himself for her speech as well as the extreme flow of knowledge that was about to be let out. He was prepared for short.

Nyx fidgeted in her seat and started taking notes even if Miss Auras said they didn't have too.She needed something to do with her hands.Anyways the notes would hopefully do her good since mathmatics were not her strong suit.

Auras went on about the different parts and pieces of the formula before moving on with the rest of the days lesson, still only going over broad concepts and trying to keep it light for day one. As she went on Auras was happy to realize that a couple students were taking notes on her lesson anyway. Eventually the time came where Auras knew the bell would ring fairly soon. "Well, with the last minutes of class you're welcome to talk among yourselves, no homework for your first day." Auras gave her class a smile and went to sit at her desk, emailing her friend in the science classroom about the trouble student that would certainly give her a hard time.

Laura was able to understand nearly all of what had been said, and put away her things quietly, purposely making it take some time so she didn't have to interact with people.

Nyx smiles happily.For once she was able to understand something that had to do with mathmatics.She quickly puts her text book away and pulls out her Sherlock Holmes novel to read while waiting for the second bell.
