Aside from being what they are, Somnandi are a COMPLETELY PROFIT FREE specie after a few considerations. uvu It's just no fun in selling them off as if they were soley created for money. I want these babs to be loved & given good homes <3

Somnandi are dragon/wolf-like creatures of the night. Much like wolves, these creatures live and work together in packs. Usually, Alphas have fluffy "manes" on their head, indicating that they're in charge. While Somnandi look rather wild some of them, they are actually quite docile, and most can easily be domesticated.
In addition to this, they are generally friendly creatures that are usually not aggressive unless provoked.
Their ear spikes play a significant role in the unity of their packs, giving off a faint glow during the dark of the night, allowing other pack members to identify each other. However, such a feature is only necessary from far away, as Somnandi have very keen eye sight.
Recently, Somnandi have evolved - or in other words, changed over a period of time. Somnandi are tall creatures, usually measuring 4 to 7 feet tall at adulthood.

Now for the rules~ Nobody likes rules but it's definitely necessary to maintain a calm community.

- Do not complain, raise heated arguments, or display clear hate against someone if they won a Somnandi that you wanted.
- ABSOLUTELY NO CLAIMING THIS SPECIE FOR YOURSELF! I worked very HARD on this and revamped the lines several times.
- If you wish to breed two Somnandi together, please note that you CAN have your Somnandi breed with another one owned by someone else. HOWEVER, YOU MUST GET THEIR PERMISSION FIRST ! Also, a Somnandi must be given a gender first before breeding. (I'm also going to note that Somnandi breeding is completely different than how actual animals breed, so two male Somnandi can still have offspring hehe )
- Feel free to post your thoughts about the specie on this thread! HOWEVER, please no spam or irrelevance.
- You are allowed to put your Somnandi just about anywhere you'd like. But, as I have previously stated, no claiming the specie as your own! My signature must also be kept on the adoptable's image at all times!
- I have recently revamped the lines - again ! Therefore, any previous existing Somnandi of the previous lines can be transferred over to the new lines upon request.
- You can gift Somnandi to others, but you CANNOT trade, sell, or re-auction your Somnandi. If you no longer want the Somnandi, tell me and I will set him/her for re-adoption.
- You may keep a total of 50 Somnandi (which... Is a lot!!!) , whether you won them through adoptions or bred them.
- Do not attempt to bribe me for any adoptions. I want everyone to have an equal shot at each Somnandi. :>



Also, I will never do customs unless I offer the opportunity to someone.

- Ultra rare Somnandi, or Alphas, have big, fluffy manes. Ultra rares may also have line edits.
- Rare Somnandi are known to have manes as well - THOUGH, these manes are notably smaller. (as can be seen on our mascot).
Uncommon Somnandi are known to have two different eye colors and/or an alternate kind of tail with a fluff at the end (as can be seen on our mascot).
- Common Somnandi are as simple as they sound - they do not have any special alternate body parts.

A common thing with many species, Somnandi are capable of breeding as well. Though Somnandi may appear to be mammals, they lay eggs (usually 1 or 2 in a single breeding). Somnandi also have a completely different way of breeding - using magic. Therefore, Somnandi are capable of mating with each other regardless of gender (e.g. two males/two females).
Breeding two Somnandi together requires a special form to be filled:

Story behind being 'split into two' OR 'why one side is crying' ;; Shadow was just a normal somnandi when chaos struck. A war was started and he had to hide. Disaster was around the corner. Lightning struck. Thunder roared. Tears seemed to swell up, but they couldn't cry. One side was tearing up, but the other felt okay. It was unnatural. On one side his heart was okay, but on the other, it was just....sad. Shadow had realized, the madness had taken over half of him. They continued to hide. They hid until the war was over. On one side, he felt relief when it ended, but on the other, they still felt sad that it happened. They could never get over it. They could never escape the madness...

Name ;; Nuferis Tide
Story behind being 'split into two' OR 'why one side is crying' ;;
Nuferis Tide was born as a set of twins. One was an albino, the other melanistic, and both were inseparable. They hunted insects together, they played together, they slept together, and woke together. They had promised to never be apart, keeping the close bond of twins as they grew up. As they reached adulthood, together, they explored further and further out. More dangerous areas, better food sources, and, of course, hunters were in the new areas.

One day, while out exploring, hunters found the twins. Both boys ran, keeping as close to each other as was safe, and tried to get away from the hunters. The twins wound up on a cliff edge and skidded to a stop, trying to find a way out. The albino twin turned and pounced, attacking the hunter that had gotten close to them. However, as his claws and fangs tore into the threat, saving his brother, a sad howl echoed out. The Albino's bright pink eyes widened as he turned to see what had happened. His brother was nowhere to be seen.

The albino ran to the edge of the cliff and looked down. At the bottom of the cliff lay the lifeless form of his brother. The ground had given out under the black canidae drake, and he had fallen to his death. Unsure of what to do, the albino twin made his way down to his brother and lay with the dead form until sleep took over him as the morning sun rose. That day he had a dream, and the twins were standing face to face. The melanistic canine was crying, apologetic for leaving his twin behind and breaking their promise. It was a stupid mistake, it never should have happened, and now the albino brother was left alone in the world, without the extra protection of the twin.

As Nuferis awoke, he blinked a few times. His vision was blurry in one eye. He got to his claws and paws and took a step forward before stumbling. His body wasn't responding properly. That's when the albino side realized something. The body of his brother was missing! What could have taken it from him while he was asleep?! He took a step forward with his other paw, then froze. Was his paw BLACK?!

"Nuferis, I am now one with you. I'm sorry for leaving you alone in this world, and I can't be with you in physical form, but I can be one with you instead," Tide's voice said, more tears streaming down what used to be his face. He could no longer be a team, no longer partners, but he could still help his brother any way he could. Not as a twin, but as an alternative personality. A higher being had felt his regret and the love of the two brothers and broke them apart to join them together. Now their promise to be together for ever can be kept, despite Tide losing his life before he was ready.

He's usually a calm character, more cautious after having lost half of his life. He still likes to explore, but is more alert and aggressive towards those he doesn't know. He refuses to be the reason that both of them will lose their lives, even if they are only one, now.

However, when his other personality comes out, he's more enthusiastic, curious, and has a love for life that was renewed after the experience. He reaches out to others and tries to make friends, wanting others around to help protect their combined form, rather than being alone all the time. Often, if he's out for a long time, he'll start to cry as the feelings of the past easily overwhelm him.
