Hello everyone! I just truncated the member list by removing everyone who did not respond to the activity check and has less than around 300 XP. If you have been removed from the list, feel free to ask me and I will put you back on.

Good luck with your language learning!

~Bump~

Y'all have 4 more days to post an update or I'll assume you're inactive (unless I can see activity on Duolingo)... anyone else still active here?

Title: Activity Check

Hello everyone! How have all of you been? I just wanted to check in on you all and to see how you've been doing with your languages. In order to reassess the activity level of all of you here, please take a few minutes to answer the following questions about your experience in this group so far:

1. Approximately how far into your language have you gotten? [Answer this as a percentage: ex. ~30%]
2. On a scale from 1 to 10, how much have you enjoyed Duolingo so far? [1 = this app sucks, 10 = this app is great, I'm really learning a lot!]
3. How active are you in using Duolingo? [Respond with "Active", "Semi-Active", "Inactive, but only due to being busy - don't remove me from the list yet!" or "Inactive, and I'll remain inactive - please remove me from the list."]
4. What is the hardest thing about your language that you've learned so far? [You may leave this blank.]

Here's a template for your answers (which you are not required to use, but might make it easier):

______________________________________________________

Username:
Language(s):
Progress (%):
Satisfaction (1-10):
Activity Level:
Hardest Thing:
Anything else?

______________________________________________________

Please respond to this prompt within a week to remain on my member list. (If I remove you from the list but you decide to return later on, don't worry; send me a message and I'll be happy to put you back on the list :).)

Thank you for being part of my group and I hope you have a nice day!

Also, by the way, you may or may not have already noticed this, but I added another 150 XP assignment in the Duolingo classroom. Remember that this is completely optional and that you may ignore this if you wish to. The assignment is due on June 18 (which is probably also near the end of the school year for most of you).

Oh, and one more thing: zagisov has hatched 6 Doduos already! One of those could be yours soon... Make sure to click his party to thank him for helping me with the Doduo hunting!

Haha I just realized that there are 2 more students in my Duolingo classroom than members of this group - is there anyone that I forgot to add to the list? Also, although I know who most of you are on Duolingo (based on similar usernames), I kind of lost track of who's who... so if and when you finish learning your language, make sure to identify to me who you are on Duolingo. Thank you all for staying in my group and good luck with your language learning!

On a separate note, the courses that teach Hungarian, Greek, and Hebrew to English speakers are practically done and will probably be released within a month. The Czech course is also nearing completion and will hopefully be released in a few weeks. If you're interested in any of these languages, you should take the opportunity and wait for the release of the courses so you can learn them! It is estimated that the Romanian, Swahili, and Hindi courses will be finished by August or September, so if you want to learn those languages, they're coming soon too.

It's fine if you want a Doduo; I can still try to get one for you :). It might take a while though.

Thanks for joining and sorry for the late response! I will add all of you to the list.

UPDATE: Shiny Doduos are no longer available as prizes for a while. There's no way that I can obtain so many so fast...

ANOTHER UPDATE: Zagisov has already found his first shiny Doduo! If you finish your language soon, it could be yours! (Although he may decide to keep his first and give all subsequent ones away instead...)

Yay, a new member! Don't worry about joining the classroom - I think you already have :). I have a member of the classroom named NyxynLamia and that's you, right?

The classroom here is not really used for that much (I only have it set up so I can track your progress and make sure you're not cheating by skipping through a language that you already know). I will occasionally set up some loose assignments, but you can feel free to not do those if you don't want to (or if you don't have the time to do so). Ignoring the assignments will not affect the prizes that you win at the end.

Good luck with learning Spanish and I hope you have some fun while you're at it!

Hello, everyone! I just created another "assignment" in our Duolingo classroom. I understand that it's probably a very busy time of the year for most of you (dealing with exams and stuff), so I gave it the loose deadline of May 21. I assigned 150 XP to be due on that day, meaning that on average, you should be getting in 7 to 8 XP per day if you want to get the assignment done in time. Hopefully, this shouldn't be to hard for you if you are a consistent user of Duolingo. Once again, the assignment is completely unnecessary (and really only exists as an excuse for me to bump this thread), so if you want to ignore the assignment, feel free to do so. Good luck learning all of your respective languages!

Yay, a new member! I thought that I had reached the highest amount of people that would join this group and that nobody else would join in. Thank you so much for signing up and I will put you on the list~!

@pastelpookivil - Hahaha yeah, that sucks XD. I know that feeling too... It's great that you're making some progress in your French though :D.

@zagisov - Yay, a free hunter! Thanks so much for agreeing to hunt for me. There's no way I could hunt Doduo fast enough without extra people. Feel free to ask for payment any time during the hunt if you want it though.

Wow, that's awesome! It also means that I'll have to move faster in my hunt if I want to be able to provide prizes in time though... :S :D

Hi everybody! Just a reminder that the first (loosely-defined) "assignment" ends on Saturday (April 23). Once again, you do not need to do this, and may ignore it if you don't want to follow my loose schedule. However, assuming that you are keeping regular progress in each of your languages, you should be able to get them done anyway. In fact, most of you have already done so (and some of you have even finished the other assignment due a week from now) - good job! It's OK if you haven't done so though; whether or not you complete the assignments will not directly affect the rewards that you get at the end.

In case you haven't already realized, this post is really just a bump :D :D :D ...

Hi, everyone! I hope that you've all been doing fine recently, and have had enough time to learn your languages.

I just created a new assignment in the classroom that asks for 100 XP to be collected before April 30. Hopefully this shouldn't be too hard to do. Again, you may choose to ignore this assignment if you wish to do so; it will not affect the prizes that you receive at the end. In all honesty, I am just using this assignment as an excuse to bump :D.

Anyways, good luck with your languages and have fun learning them!

Hahaha yes, I understand that feeling XD.

If you want to, though, you can go to settings and disable speaking and/or listening activities. I find it more efficient to disable those when at school or in a library. It's up to you whether or not you want to do that though.

@Aristocraft - Yes, you may use your account. Make sure to join my classroom so I can provide prizes though.

@pastelpookivil - There was a link in the instructions on how to join. I think you're already in my class though - you're Nymphiramii, right? (Also, in case you were wondering, the classroom does not actually serve any function besides allowing me to assign XP goals and track your progress to make sure you aren't cheating.)
