"What is it?" Ririko said in a wavering tone as she sniffled and sobbed

"Wait Elaine, they need to know the rest of it." He mumbled.

"I-I didn't know that. I just, wanted us to be back. Safe. 1 month before we left, I heard them talking once. I heard them saying that they got permission from our guardians for the experiments. They were going to dispose of us after observing for some more time since the experiments were unsuccessful. I was terrified and then and there I decided that we had to run away. I was not sure but I felt that I should tell Nancy about it. We made a plan and then on the day when we were running away, if you all remember that, Nancy and I were supposed to be the last ones getting out, ensuring everyone was safe. We were about to get out when they caught hold of Nancy with a gun. I stopped, they threatened me to give all of your locations and for me to come back and they would let her go. I was about to come back in but not tell them the locations. I.....I was about to do that when......when suddenly, she herself pulled the trigger and........." he lowered his voice as good as a whisper, "then I had no choice but to run away." Tomoya jerked his head up, his eyes widened and a tear drop fell from his eyes. He pursed his lips together then said, "4 years back, when we were brougt to the laboratory......I was the one who looked like and emotional fool. I was an easy prey. At the orphanage where I lived, they one day told me that I would be going to a different place, at that time I didn'tknow it was the laboratory." He took a deep breath, "a good 2 months after we were at the lab, some of the head scientists approached me, they told me that all of us could be adopted. We could have way better lives if we co-operated with some tests they needed to do."

"I went along and a few days after the first tests they told me that we were suffering from a special disease. We needed to be cured but you all should not know about it. They said you all wouldn't be able to take it and that I was stronger mentally. I really wanted all of us to be happy so I complied with them for an year."

Ririko was not stopping to anything anyoe said, she entered her room and slammed the door behind her. As she sobbed hard.

Tomoya looked down, his bangs covering his face and he nodded at Elaine, telling her that her being here and the abilities were because he helped the scientists. He held back his tears. let them take their anger on you. No need to cry he told himself in his mind

Mikako stood behind Elaine just in case if it would have a big effect on her. She could not bear it, He killed her! Because of him! Nancy was killed because of him! she thought as a frown developed on her face.
