Hiking wasn't Byron's favorite activity in the slightest. Especially with a 250 lb backpack to carry along for ten miles. At the eighth mile, he decided to stand in the shade, wiping the beads of sweat off his forehead.

"Phew." he sighed heavily and took a moment to enjoy the view of the nature around him whilst catching his breath. He had gone uphill for a while. He'd even seen bear tracks, but he knew this trail so well that he simply found them to be a common occurrence. He'd never actually seen one before. A black feather fell from the sky as soon as he walked from under the tree, a huge shadow having encompassed him with a great speed overhead. He whipped around, startled, only to see an eagle perched on top of a branch about twice his height above him. The eagle was massive, and frighteningly so, enough to frighten an eighteen year old, 5'11'' man. He immediately averted his bright-hued eyes, hoping avoiding direct eye contact would allow him to continue going without a fuss. As soon as his eyes fell away from the great predator, however, it screeched menacingly with eyes darted right at the man, forcing him to hesitate and stare back in shock. Its mighty wings rose high and in great width; the bird of prey took to the skies and dove straight for him, too quick for Byron to react.

"Ugh!" he managed as the eagle threw a great, brute force right into him, before continuing on with powerful flaps to gain height and make its leave. The man, dazed and in great but temporary pain, squinted his eyes firmly shut as he dizzily attempted to push himself up. He fell flat once again, however, having lost air from his lungs. It wasn't the first time this happened to him, knowing to keep calm and do his best to breathe slow. Looking to his left, then his right, brows furrowed in confusion at something silvery behind his pinky. He lifted his hand, revealing a brightly shining object that his eyes were troubling to focus on. He regained much needed oxygen, head pounding from impacting the dry dirt beneath him, and slowly reached for it. As soon as he touched it, he swear he heard the eagle's cry again, distant yet powerful. Thankfully the backpack took the brunt of the fall, his back not terribly bruised as he sat up and returned to the tree to examine his peculiar find. "What is this...?" he whispered to himself, dusting off the ring-part of the jewelry under the predominant head of an eagle well-scuptured, bright and certainly high-quality.

The man would return to town after dusting off the dirt, the ring being idly played with his fingers as he thoroughly thought out what just happened. It was the most odd thing he'd ever encountered in his life. He wondered who to go to about it- his friends wouldn't believe him in the slightest. Without thinking much of it, Byron Manning decided to slip the ring onto his right middle finger, testing whether or not it fit- and it did. He swore he'd seen the eagle's eyes shine upon donning the item, but perhaps it was the lighting of the Sun suddenly coming into view from the clouds up ahead. He was certainly imagining things. Speaking of imagination- something black and bearing wings was just in view of the park ahead of him. He squinted his eyes hard to try and find detail, hoping it was just a new toy for the park, but no, it was animated. He picked up his cellphone from his pocket right then, wondering if he should call police. Wait- would the police even believe him? They'd probably detain him at the very least with suspicion he was on drugs. In total disbelief, he ran for the park, seeing two people in danger of this... thing.

(I promise that anytime he uses his ring's power that it will have high consequences on his energy. :3 It'll take him a long time to understand it, too. The last paragraph is the only important bit.)

Name: Byron Manning
Age: 18
Gender: Male
Appearance: Byron stands at a healthy 5'11'' feet tall, though wishing he breached six feet like his father. A dark brunette, almost black hair at a high & tight hairstyle fit for his masculine features. He always has a very fine stubble for facial hair, always making sure he does not at all look unkempt to others. The man has piercing blue eyes that seem to make others immediately feel like he is a truthful, but powerful man. He favors wearing sweaters with jeans, or even a very fitting leather jacket with a simple shirt underneath.
Power Your Ring Gives You: Can unleash rage-induced power, the wearer's raw human power becomes boosted enough that they could punch through a wall without much pain, punch a dent in a car, punch a human and cause a dent in a wall with them, possibly pick up a car (but not able to throw it). Sometimes his rage is hard to control and often times feels extreme tiredness afterward- don't make him angry!
Ring Appearance:

How You Found Your Ring: Upon a hiking trip, Byron found an enormous eagle, that of which charged at him with a mighty caw, the brute force pushing the man right off his feet and onto the ground- with a mysterious Eagle Ring left on the dirt next to his right hand. He picked it up, bewildered, hearing the eagle call once again as it continued to soar away.
History (opt.): To be roleplayed!
Other: Present!

The 'human' male was a heavy sleeper, the tiny droplets of rain only a minor annoyance that lead him to 'roll' to a different position every once in a while. Suddenly, a downpour of rain that felt like a bucket of ice water splashing onto him startled him, gasping and arching to stand up-

But he had no arms...

Kino looked to his left, a familiar beige color- but no arm- and looked to his right, sadly with the same fate.

"Ah.." he scooted back in fright.

And then he looked down to see those strangely bulbous, green feet.

"Uhhh..." he mumbled, his brain's gears creaking to a stop in total shock.

A loud BOOM! was heard above the sky, quite close to him, to which he let out a shrill squeak and immediately bounced onto his two feet, fleeing the scene to the closest available shelter. It was a cave, thankfully enough, and he immediately, without a second thought, scurried right on in. By the time he was inside, the Shroomish began slowing down to a trot, desperate for help- and answers.

"H-hello?" he called, frightened for his life. He eventually saw a crack, and upon looking outside it, he saw, beyond the rain, a Village.

Name: Kino
Gender: Male
Pokemon/Appearance: Shroomish
Personality: Hot-tempered if provoked, usually in a visibly sour-looking mood, but is actually easy to frighten and put him in his place. He does not like drama at all and will immediately dislike anything dramatic. Despite his resting angry face, Kino can be a very valuable member and finds others less irritating if they are respectful back. (His personality will change for the better if he eventually evolves.)
Origin (Human or Inhabitant?): Human

(I know I'm late but the thread says it's open ;; I can make it work)
