Alora Lux excited her family's home before the sun was up. It might be reaping day, but she wanted to do her daily run and morning meditation. She ran her usual two miles before the sun was even up and headed to her usual spot. Her morning meditation wasn't much, but it kept her calm during the day. And today was reaping day, she would need as much 'calm' as she could. She planned on volunteering, but so did most girls. This was district 1 after all. Alora finished her deep breathing and moved to stand up, slowing stretching her arms behind her head. "Ready for the show Lux?" Alora sighed. She turned around to see one of her least favorite people ever behind her. "Ready to shut up, Larva?" Alora snapped. Marcus Lorva was 18, and the most insufferable person in the district. Alora called him larva behind his back and too his face to humble him a bit. Without waiting for a response Alora whipped around and walked away. She wasn't letting Larva ruin her perfect morning. She tried to put a smile on her face. Reaping day!

After getting back to the house, Alora went inside and cleaned up. Living in District one was a privilege, and Alora treated it as such. She put on a simple white dress with a golden belt, meant to emphasize her glowing skin and sun-beam eyes. Her family was dressed to match. "Alora dear, are you planning to volunteer today?" Alora dipped her head in respect. "Yes Babushka." Alora's grandmother was an ancient woman, a previous victor herself. The Lux family had many victors in its heritage. Alora hopped to be the next one. "Don't volunteer, I won't have anyone to play with." Alora felt a tug at her dress. Her younger sister stood at her hip, with a sad look on her face. "Oh Alya. You'll have Apollo." Alora felt a little bad for Alya, who was the younger of the twins. Apollo hopped into the room to see Alya sniffling. "Apollo, you must take care and protect your sister while I'm gone, you understand?" Apollo gave Alora a nod before grabbing Alya's hand and carefully taking her to their room.

"They will be fine while you are gone, little luchik." Alora turned back to her grandmother. "I know... but I'll miss them." Babushka chuckled. "Then you have something to fight for." Alora smiled. "Indeed." Alora dipped her head to her grandmother once more before exiting the living room. "Oh my little girl. So grown up." Alora's mother embraced her, sniffling a little bit. "Hi mama." Alora gave her mother a long hug before pulling up. "You look beautiful. A true ray of light, a true Lux." Alora teared up a bit at this. "Awww, mama." she wiped her tears before her mother pulled her in for another hug. "Your father and older brother are waiting for you outside. They can't attend the reaping today, as they have to work, but I told them I'd send you out to say goodbye."

Alora headed outside, wiping her tears with her dress sleeve. She fall back a bit when tackled by a bear hug. "I'm so proud of you Alora." Alora hugged her brother. "Thanks Oran." she whispered. Oran was the only one allowed to know she was scared, the only one aloud to feel her shaky arms and hear her terrified whispers. "It's going to be okay Lor. You'll make it back to us. I know you will." Alora dug her head into Oran's shoulder. "I know. I just have to kill 23 people to do it." Oran chuckled. "Or you have to outlast them all..." he pulled her away and gave her a smile, as if he had just suggested she put a flower in her hair. "Out of the way." Alora laughed as her father jokingly shoved past Oran to hug her. "So grown up. I remember when I had to carry you on my shoulders so you could see the reaping." Alora rapidly blinked. "Thanks papa." she whispered when he set her down. "It's time for us to go, but we'll see you in a little while." Alora nodded. "Bye Oran, bye papa!" she shouted, as they headed down the street and out of her view.

The day begins as always. In the career districts, today is a day of celebration. In the lower districts, today is a day of suffering and repentance. You woke up feeling tired, and then remembered what the date was. Reaping day has come again. Something feels different this time...

"And I basically dodged your question in a way that answered your question without answering it." Soleil replied casually, shifting positions. "Once upon a time I might have been capable of casting a patronus, but not anymore." she wiggled her fingers with an eyeroll. "If you're asking to find out if I'm in the prophecy, you're going to be disappointed." Part of that statement was true. Soleil struggled with casting patronus charms after 'the incident' and found it extraordinarily hard to summon any form of patronus, corporeal or noncorporeal.

"My thoughts on the prophecy?" Soleil scowled. "Figured you would have better questions then that." she shrugged.
"Prophecies are prophecies. I don't like them one way or another." she said, not bothering to hide the fact that she didn't want to talk about it. "If this dark lord wants to make everyone afraid, a good way of doing it was spread a small bit of information and give to teenagers." she leaned forward. "He or she, whoever they are, are succeeding in spreading fear and unease." Soleil held up one finger. "That was the first step."

Willow bobbed her head as she hummed, drawing in a sketch book. She was trying to draw her most recent "forward dream" as she liked to call them, but with no success. After 10 more minutes of failed sketching, she decided to draw the fireplace. Flames were fun to draw, because they constantly moved and had many shades. So many light spots and dark spots flickered across her vision. Paper, pencil, pen, fire. She was aware of so many things. "Willow you should go to bed." the Gryffindor prefect slowly waved their hand in front of her face. Willow pouted. "But I dont wannnaaa." she said with an adorable huff. The prefect chucked. "It's getting late. I'm sure you won't regret it." Willow did her best puppy doll eyes. "Pweassee." she looked up. The prefect sighed, rolling their eyes before chuckling again. "You are unbelievable." Willow cheered. "Yay! Thank youu!"

Soleil put her book down. "Sure, ask away." her eyebrow rose. "Minds are like books. Some shouldn't be read and some are more complex then others." she cocked her head to the side. "Some minds are easy to get into and understand. Or manipulate. I sense you would know a thing or two about the last one?" Soleil commented, sliding sideways on the couch she was sitting on so Faith could sit down.

Soleil looked up from her book to see Faith staring at her. "Hi Faith." she said absently, looking back down at her book. She had never been formally introduced to Faith, but taking her name out of her head was easy enough. Soleil turned the page her of book, waiting for Faith to say something. Surely she had something to say.

Willow skipped down the hall. "Hihi!" she said, waving to a third-year student as she skipped past them. Willow kept on her way, not slowing down. Even the Slytherins loved Willow, after all, no one could hate a girl who's heart was more innocent then a rabbits. Her beaming smile lit up every room she walked into. And her puppy-doll eyes melted even the coldest of people.

Year: 1
House: Gryffindor
Patronus: A tiny lil mouse
Any special ability?: Willow can see tiny lil glimpses of the future in her dreams. She calls these glimpses "forward dreams" because she doesn't know what they are, but she knows they come true.
Wand: Acacia and Phoenix feather, 11 inches, stiff
Personality: Willow is sweet, kind, caring and adorable. She is beloved throughout the school for her sweet personality. Even the teachers love her. She's the kind of girl to make you a card randomly that says "have a nice day" just cause she wants you to smile. Her patronus represents her innocence.
Other: "Young and sweet, will lose her beat, first to go, last to know."
Also, I know the picture isn't realistic looking. Deal with it.

"Leopard." Soleil said casually, removing her wand from her back pocket. "That stupid prefect or whatever was right though. Probably should head back to the dorms so we don't get in trouble. It was nice meeting you Dimitri!" Soleil gave Dimitri a wintry smile before she turned around and headed back to her common room.

Aurora's smile grew. "Yes." she said happily. "Heck, we can even go down to the Quidditch Pitch, I don't really care." she said, teasing him. Behind Aurora's back, Emerson made some kind of single to Mehul... maybe they were planning this all along...

Aurora turned around again. "Yeah, what's up?" she bit her lip. Why was she so nervous? What was she doing? Aurora rubbed her wrists behind her back, trying very hard not to let Suvansh see how nervous she was.

Aurora turned red. "Oh okay. Well uh... see you around I guess?" Had she done something wrong? Aurora mentally tried to remember every single thing she had said in the past 2 weeks. She couldn't think of anything bad. Did that mean he just didn't want to talk to her?

"I won't." Soleil called after him. She looked back at Dimitri but didn't say anything. "What's your patronus?" she asked Dimitri quietly, once she was sure Suvansh wouldn't be able to hear her. She mentally made note of Suvansh's embarrassment.

"Just wondering." Soleil froze when she saw Suvansh. Crap crap crap. "No." she said shortly, weighing her options. She could lie, and they would be no way he'd be able to tell. But Dimitri would most likely give it away, if Suvansh was any sort of legilimens at all.

*Timeskip to Valentines day*

Aurora was nervous. Very nervous. For what reason? She didn't know. She had started to hang out with Suvansh a lot more, which was really nice. He knew some about Magical Beasts, not as much as her, but then again.

Soleil coughed again. "How old are you exactly?" she managed so say. This prophecy was REALLY starting to bug her. "Also, yes. Yes you did say that aloud." she added, rubbing her wrists.

Aurora ran the way to the shrieking shake, with Emerson trailing behind her. "I knew it! I knew you liked him!" she teased. Aurora swat at her. "Just wait until I tell the girls about this." Aurora went pale. "You wouldn't." she swallowed. "You're right, I wouldn't. Lighten up Scammander." Emerson said with a smile.
