(No, you ignorant fool! You're too quick to set judgement. The main reason why is this:

He's an Dark Lord-An Overlord of a world of pure evil called the Void. The Void-being Hell-is where he stands as an Overlord over all kinds, and his main force-The Stalkers. Beings of flesh and metal-mindless, brutal, relentless. Beings of soul becoming of what's left of their flesh, covering in metal.

Sinstar once conquer the Old Gods of Chaos, an oxymoron state of pure peace, and prosperity. They were once nearly destroyed by the darkness that Sinstar once controlled. Until...A light that engulfs Sinstar's demon-like body, turning his skin into white ash that holds a permanent remainder of his defeat. For the last Billions of years since the Universe was made, Sinstar's soul roams endlessly.

Until his arrival on Mobuis in it's more ancient times. He possessed an young king into madness, controlling him, consuming his soul. And soon, all of his existence. The first encounter of Sinstar and the Stalkers were once defeated with a small group with a powerful element that itself created the Universe called: Element Zero.

After his defeat, he holds a scar that is burned on his right eye. 50,000 years of wondering the Universe, and 50,000 years of searching. 50,000 years of evil, spending across the Universe. Until one day...He founded Shadow.

During the early days of Project Shadow he acquired one of the Shadow Androids to make his own. And thus, his form is complete. Now founded Troy as his new apprentice of the Void, and making him Half Stalker-Blooded, Troy's conflict against Sinstar himself rages on.

There, I hope you understand that I tried to make him different from Shadow. It doesn't matter if he's a recolor or not, it's coincidence. Pure coincidence.)
