Hello everyone!! I am so excited to be here for my 9th fight on team Fossils! I am a self-taught artist and use ArtFight as a way to practice and mess around with my style, so my attacks may not look the same as previous years (and may even differ from attack to attack!) I have a hitlist you can fill out!

My characters are in no order of preference, please attack whoever you like! They are mainly grouped by type/fandom. If you are struggling to pick, it's always fun to get attacks for characters who don't have any yet! If you have any questions, reach out to my discord #fallfiresidefirefly!! With shading anything, it can be kind of a "trust the process" until it's finished, so don't worry too much haha! In-between stages are bound to look a little weird. I think adding more depth to the background once you get to it will help with the trees. As for the grass, like Drakonia said, considering where your light source is should help you shade it.

The biggest difference I can see between your 3D render and the pixel art is that in the render, the "base" of the grass is out of frame on the bottom. In your art however, you can see the base of each clump of grass just at the bottom of the canvas. Since the grass isn't currently on or in any type of ground, it looks funny just like that and might be messing with the perspective a bit.

To fix it, you could either move the clumps down a bit (and maybe size them up?) so that the bases are out of sight, or add some shorter grass along the base of the frame. I think the former would look a little better though. Let me know if this is a confusing bunch of words and a visual example would be more helpful haha!

Wow, this progress is so awesome to see! I really love the little windmill and how far you've gotten on the Caterpie piece. My only advice is that for the main Caterpie, the red "antennae" actually seem to stem from just above the center of its "nose" rather than at the top of the forehead, where it currently is on your pixel art (your 3D model seems to have it in the right place though!) That might also help you with visualising the proportions.

Well hello there!

I see you're hauling around quite a lot of things you might not need, or even want. Feel free to empty your pockets of lint without having to think about it, and in return I'll let you scavenge my junkyard. If you spot something nice, it's all yours! Just make sure you tell all your friends about it - that way I can keep letting you have a go at trading up. Remember - one man's trash is another man's treasure!

Welcome to Ralsei's Junkyard! This is exactly what it sounds like - you give me the junk in your item bag that you don't know what to do with, and I give you a chance to win something nice! Here's the lowdown:

For every 10 junk swapped in, you get 1 chance to win.
For every 50 junk swapped in, you get 6 chances to win.
For every 100 junk swapped in, you get 15 chances to win.

But what counts as "10 junk"? I'm glad you asked! Here's a table for you:

Each of these options is equivalent to 10 junk:

I think that sounds reasonable, don't you? Well, I suppose that depends on what you might find when you're scavenging. Here's how this works:

Each chance to win lets you spin a wheel to win a prize! You will always win something, as the goal is to have fun with a little lottery while getting rid of stuff you don't want. Once per week, at 21:00 server time on Sundays I'll update the prize pool based on what I have in stock. This week, the prize distribution is:

50% Chance: A Sack of Coins (2,500 PD)
25% Chance: A Meteorite (Forme-Change Item)
10% Chance: A random, non-meteorite Forme-Change Item (stuff like Selfie Sticks up for grabs!)
10% Chance: 5 random Gems (excluding Dragon and Fairy)
5% Chance: A Rare Candy

Finally, here is the procedure for getting those scavenging chances! Simply post this form and set up a Private Trade with the items, and I will spin for you and give you the prizes as my side of the trade (and can provide proof of the spin if you like through PM!)
