Forum-Index → Roleplay → Crumbling Ruins RP"Temperance the first. You feel a need for harmony and balance in your life and indeed are starting to feel that some peace has already been restored. However you are still experiencing problems. This is a time for calm, careful control and patience, and you will soon have a sense of normality again."
He flipped another card at her prompting.
"The Lightning Struck Tower the second. This indicates chaos and turmoil. Your life is question. The tower also represents the chaos in the world around you. Very interesting... I wonder if you are not the tower, but the lightning..."
He flipped the third card.
"The Hermit." Her old friend. "Knowledge, disguise, misdirection. You will achieve great things should you open your mind to the knowledge the world can teach you. Taken together, they represent highs and lows for the future. They suggest that your thread of life will become woven into the tapestry of destiny. Your actions will change the world. Three more."
He flipped them, and lay them out.
"The World in the short term. This is associated with the beginning of a new cycle. Boundless opportunity is ahead of you because of hard work earlier in your life."
"The Wheel of Fortune in the long term. This reminds you of the randomness of life. Bad news will follow good, bounty will follow tragedy. The sooner you can accept that there are elements outside of your control, the better off you will be."
"Minor aspect of the Hanged Man. A strange card taken in relation with the earlier few. This is a reminder not to show your hand and stand in the spotlight too early. The work you do on the shadows will highlight your cunning and perseverance. Last one now."
He flipped the final card. She watched him intently. Very few people had a good reaction to the face of this card.
"Finally... Destiny with Death. Endings and beginnings, cycles broken. This may mean literal death, but not for you. Your entire fortune as a whole speaks to your being as a harbinger of change. And a positive one at that."
She flipped a final card for herself. The High-Priestess.
"Mr. Kendo, I will stand with you. Where you will go, I shall follow. Fate has determined that for the both of us."
Curious, she flipped the remaining deck over to see The Emperor on the bottom.
"I am perhaps more reassured to see this card not in a fortune like yours. You still have the freedom of choice. But once you leave this tent, your destiny will start."

"Death? I'm not afraid of death. My life has always danced with death. If my destiny ends with death, so be it. All I wish is to be the force that moves the progression of this earth."
Kendo got up. He stretched, as he headed for the exit.
"My destiny is mine to control. I've always taken life by the reins. this s no different."

"The odds of your fortune are favorable enough. Now, Mr. Kendo, where shall we start?"

"She is dangerous. More dangerous even than you know. And you're literally freezing your footsteps into the sand... anyone can follow us."

Fine. I'll just look out for the both of us.
They had reached the edge of the city.

"I know. She's strong. But you don't get stronger by doing the same, easy routine every day. I've been training for years, in wars, in revolutions, in uprisings. I am much stronger than any of the lawless fools in this city. Even Pheonix."

Reaching a secluded spot a good distance away, Athena flew back home. Now, the usual routine of changing into her red dress/cloak and jewelry. It was hilarious, how a change of outfit made everyone think she was a whole new person. Of course, she didn't really give them a chance to look carefully. The outfit was still comfortable and allowed her to move easily, but it was a bit too fancy for her opinion. Still, it was necessary to maintain her disguise.
Heists were fun, in her opinion. They were also the only chance she had of showing her wings to anyone. She didn't bother hiding them, it was much easier to make a quick getaway that way. It also added to the mysterious reputation of The Lady. There were many whispers that The Lady had pure white wings. As long as she hid her wings as Phoenix, no one would make the connection.
The sun was setting as she arrived at the Smiths' mansion. The Smiths could be counted as the most powerful of The Four. They were constantly stealing from the innocent civilians, and extremely harsh when it came to law enforcement. So that made them number one of her heist list. Today's target would be the newly installed vault. She couldn't take the whole thing, so she would only be bringing what the Smiths had stolen from the civilians, possible a precious treasure or two, and maybe a bit of cash should she have any space left.
Circling the roof, she spotted the guards posted outside, their guns at the ready. Ha, like they were going to stop her. She knew the security system inside out. Of course, they'd probably changed a few things since the last time she'd broke in. But that shouldn't be a problem. The vault was in the basement, inconvenient, as she couldn't just swoop in and swoop out. But she knew what was under the city as much as she knew what was above it. There was an air vent in the side of the building which would take her to the basement corridor. From there, getting into the vault shouldn't be too hard. She got ready to dive.
He picked out the bandage and covers its eyes to prevent infection
"Uggh that was painful.... I wish i didnt gifted by this power... i suffer enough now"
He lays on the road trying to recover
He made a little peak on the bandage
And just a few seconds he saw a suspicous trace , thanks to his enhanced eyesight
He followed the trace and leads to a mansion
"*Sighs* There goes nothing"
He enters it rushing
Reaching the vault, she checked again to make sure she hadn't set off some silent alarm, then took a plasma cutter and cut through the metal of the vault door as if it were butter. Carefully lifted the heavy door away, she looked in to find... Nothing? The vault was completely empty, apart from a maze of lasers scanning the distance from the door to a tablet on a podium in the middle of the room. This was a trick. A trick to catch her. She better get out of here fast...
