The tiny classroom was lined with five rows of neat, orderly desks. Children in various shades white shirts stood behind their chairs, staring at the words written on the blackboard in the tidy handwriting of the vacant-eyed woman standing at the front of the room. Then, in unison, they all sat. "Very good, children!" the woman said, smiling almost mechanically. She turned, picked up a piece of chalk with jerky movements, and began to write. When she was finished, she stepped back, and motioned to a child in the seats. "Aida, can you please read the word on the board and give its definition?" "Obedience," the young girl said quietly, staring at the board. "Compliance with an order, request, someone's authority, or the general law." "That's right. And what's the one rule you must always obey?" "Don't go outside," Aida said quietly. "Yes. We must never, ever go outside," the woman said."For all your sakes. The consequences, as we always say..."

"Would be deadly."

This is the Orphanage. A place of safety and comfort. No one is sad, no one is afraid, everyone is happy. There is no reason to go outside. Why bother? After all, there is a danger outside. Blue Man will find you if you don't obey. Just wait until your eighteenth birthday when you go to the Village. Then, your new life will begin.

Personality: Nox is quiet. She doesn't like to talk very much, so she chooses not to unless she has to. There are a few close people she is willing to strike conversation with though. She is analytical, usually trying to see two or three steps ahead of everyone else.

Appearance: She has white hair, cut short into a pixie cut. Her cold, calculating eyes are an usual shade of gold. She stands at about 5'5, and has a fairly muscular build. [May have to change, just assuming] She wears the school uniform, but incorrectly. Hanging the jacket over her shoulders rather than actual putting her arms through the sleeves. The collar is fastened in place by a chain so it won't easily fall off.

Physical Description: 5'8'', somewhat broad shoulders, tousled, messy, just-past-shoulder-length hair that appears black but on closer inspection is actually a very, very dark blue-green that fades to a muted, slightly lighter teal towards the ends, bright aurora-blue monolid eyes, cool-toned light-beige skin, gentle features, soft white freckles across his cheeks and nose. Aside from his white long-sleeved shirt, black pants, and black-green dress shoes from the school uniform, he wears a delicate bracelet on his right wrist with light blue glass beads, pale gold glass beads, a pale pink glass seashell charm, and a small, pale orchid, enameled flying fish charm.
Personality: On first appearances, and perhaps second, third, fourth, and so on, Cahya seems distant and disinterested. He isn't quiet, per se, but he rarely engages with others, and if one manages to begin a conversation with him, he has a tendency to give monotonous, vague responses. There is a different reality behind his demeanor, however. He lives in his own thoughts, wandering through an ideal inner world instead of fully immersing in the constraint of his own existence. Behind the chill of his mental dissociation is a compassionate, creative, and determined boy, though the years have forced that determination and spirit into hiding, seemingly never to be seen outwardly again.
