Luna felt the need for something. "I'm gonna go grab my backpack, be right back." She said, getting up and leaving the room for a little bit.

At the dorm, Luna opened the door and saw Olive. "Oh, hi!" She said, smiling. "I just came to grab my backpack." She said, grabbing a small teal backpack, and looking at Olive. "Maybe you wanna come with me to meet my new friends?" She asked.

I pulled out a book from my bag. It was a hardcover with sketched images on both sides that were purposefully divided in half diagonally with the top half colored and the bottom half uncolored, on the front cover was a sketch of the upper body of a robotic bear with golden fur, a black top hat, a black bowtie, and barely visible white dots in the voided eyes. Just above the face was purposefully-scratchy, bold writing in red that said "THE GOLDEN DAYS", below it being similar but smaller writing that said "Written & Illustrated by Raindrop". I smiled and flipped through, admiring the occasional sketches, usually of blueprints.

Olive blinked slowly, then gave her a large smile. They nodded intensely.



"So, she your girlfriend now?" Adrik flipped through a page and continued reading as if he weren't that interested in the answer. But from the way he glanced up sharply, he seemed to be truly interested in what she'd say.

Adrik's snort answered that question. "Who has the time to do that?" he asked, a tinge of scorn in his voice. "I sure don't. Do you?" he added.

Adrik continued reading his book, but he hadn't flipped a page in a while. "You know, I never really understood people who liked adventure books. Y'know, that kind of thing. Why learn about something that won't benefit you later on in your life?" He gave a semi-shrug and finally flipped. "Well, what're you reading?"

Luna opened the door and sat down again. She reached into her backpack, and pulled out a notebook. "I like to sketch" she explained, flipping through the book and stopping at a blank page. She thought for a moment, then grabbed a pencil and started to draw. Her blond hair was turning gold in the light, and her freckles stood out under her focused eyes.

Olive hovered uncertainly in the doorway, looking between the three inside.

Luna looked up. "Sure." She said, getting up. She left hear backpack easily in reach of Adrik and Olive, and Luna hoped they could be trusted. She walked over to the kitchen with Zuzu.

Adrik watched them every step of the way until they left. As soon as the door shut closed, he sat up on his bed.

Olive gave a faint squeaking noise and he glanced at her. "Can you help me?" he asked.

They blinked in response. Adrik furrowed his brow. "Uh... Can you help me, please?" he asked a bit louder. This time, they studied his face, then nodded eagerly.

"Well," he enunciated carefully. "I left... something... in the... assembly hall... Could you get it for me?"

They nodded slowly and tilted their head to the side.

"Don't worry, you'll know it when you see it." He gestured towards the door.

Olive opened it and after a moment's pause, stepped outside and closed the door.

In an instant he was on his feet, rifling through the backpack.

He removed several articles, studied them intently, then placed them back inside. He zipped it up quickly, then returned to his bed, but not before tucking something into his pocket. He double checked. He had put the zipper in the proper place. Angled it the same as it had been. It was safe.

He pulled out his book and began reading.

"What do you think of the cover? It may have wrecked my sleep schedule for a month, but it was worth it."
