My roommate plays a lot of Stardew Valley, it doesn't have the cute animals but it's got the same relaxing vibes!

Animal Crossing is pretty unique, but if you're looking to play "relaxing" games, here's a list!

Stardew Valley- build up a farm, raise animals, harvest crops, mine, battle bats and slimes, and make friends; it's like Harvest Moon but more updated things (though OG Gameboy Harvest Moon was my thing)

Astroneer- collect resources, build a base, and explore planets; minimal plants trying to harm you

Traveller's Rest- If you like DnD, it has the DnD tavern vibe to it; make your tavern great again, harvest crops, serve people customized food and drinks (as a bartender I love this game!)

Cattails- You're a cat in the wilderness, find herbs, food, and shelter- if you ever read Warrior Cats, it's like a more tamed (rated G) version of that!
