Mystin took the plate. "Y'know, you don't give me enough credit."
He grinned. "Who was the one who figured out where the Splash Plate
was?" He shrugged and bit his lip. "It won't hurt to check. But we
need to get Riko to a center, or at least to some berries. And
speaking of berries, Shock, you do know that legendary pokemon
don't live near humans?" He watched her leave quietly, before
walking over to Riko.
Kate watched Tidal go, presumably to get a cherri berry or
something. Now that Riko was dealt with, she quietly eyed Mystin,
contemplating how to grab the plates without him noticing.
Riko was sitting on her knees, her hands on the ground, shakily
propping her up.
Tidal landed near a rather large pond, her eyes narrowing. "Eevee,
Psyduck, Polliwag line..." she recited as she walked, scanning the
brush. She saw a smooth yellow head pop up from the water for just
a second and grinned.
Mystin bent down, extending a hand. "Is it bad? Do you think you
can get up?" Mystin knew the horrible feeling of paralysis. Not
only did he have to deal with Zapdos, but trainers who tried to
capture him often brought electric types.
The Lugia quickly returned 10 minutes later, carrying a bright
yellow Psyduck and soaked to the bone. She set the Pokemon down
next to Riko and, glaring at the others, growled, "Not. A. Word."
"I don't think so..." she said apologetically. She knew that
paralysis made battling difficult, the static preventing movement
half the time...she felt like she couldn't move now, or would be
horribly hindered if she tried
Meka lost her mind too. "I thought I was the shapeshifter! Are you
a seel or a psyduck??" She fell to the ground, now an Eevee, one of
her favorite forms, trembling with laughter.
Riko felt the static fade away like stink in the wind. "Whoa...
Thank you." She turned to the little psyduck. That feels much
better.
