Since William had finished his walk, he had been walking through the castle towards the kitchen. He could see servants cleaning up the puddles of water from Noah’s pranks. “I guess I’ll have to find him later” he said while entering the kitchen. After a brief exchange with the cook, he learned that there wasn’t any food left, and that the Chefs were grocery shopping right now. “Ugh, I guess I’ll have to go in town then. It does give me an excuse to not do my paperwork” he smirked while leaving the castle. He headed to the bakery, to perhaps get a Tart for his late breakfast. The smells of the bakery were amazing, he could smell it from a long distance away. To his surprise, the bakery was filled with people he knew.

Opal begun tapping their finger on the table as they were waiting for the apprentices who were taking longer than expected. They let out a sigh and begun talking to themselves "Maybe something happened to them or even worse..." they find themselves grunting as the mention the name " Tirik could be talking them up about summoning, what a personality they are, I do hope they didn't stumble upon him, I should check on them" As they place their orb delicately on the table they begin to quietly chant something, upon the end of said chant, a spectral blue raven takes form and quickly begins to search for the two apprentices, leaving a blue trail behind for Opal to follow. The bird is quick to find the two apprentices as Opal begins their way to the young mages.

"KALINDA!!!" he manages to scream, suddenly on his feet again and running into the castle. Oh God. Oh Lord. They can't be here without permission. All villagers have to wait outside. How did they even get inside.
And almost as if a bigger force was watching over him and laughing, at precisely that moment a guard blocks their way.
"Hey! You two aren't supposed to be here!" the guard yells, running closer to them.
Head empty, no thoughts, a panicked deer caught in the headlights, Valentin bolts past the guard.

"As a matter of fact, yes! From what I've seen at least, haven't come by myself in almost.... six maybe seven months....." He says as he sits down opposite of Thea, letting Rosaline sit next to her (wink). "Being a knight isn't easy at ALL! But it is a job I thoroughly enjoy myself, the adrenaline, the training, the armor! There's something about it that attracts me to it deeply!" he stops rambling and turns to back to Thea "What do you do for a living?"

Kalinda smiles as she sees Valentin begin to run. "See? That wasn't so hard!" She says as she runs with him. She darts off through a hallway and looks around.

Cooper continues walking through the halls with the tea. He is vibing. Hallways are long, man.

The spectral bird slowly lands on Kalinda's heads as Opal who was just casually walking, finds himself stood in front of the very excited female apprentice, something which they didn't expect to witness. "You weren't supposed to be here already" says the scrawny short figure to the rather taller apprentince.

Valentin gulps as he sees one of the greatest mages in the city in his own person. They look a bit... short, but other than that... wow.
"We... uhm... we.. we took a shortcut!" he lies, eyes moving to Kalinda as if to signal a 'we-are-getting-through-this-lie-TOGETHER' to her.

She can get used to this, Thea comforts herself. The knights don't actually seem all too bad...!
She nods at Rosaline, thanking her with quiet mutters.
"You seem very passionate, darling Philly! I think it's inspiring to find something you're so happy about to do for a living," she rubs herself on her neck. "I don't really do much... it's more of just helping my father. We keep ox just outside of the city, it's pretty nice."

Charlie was startled away from her break by a series of jingles followed by an energetic shout from behind her. Turning, she broke into a smile at the sight of one of her favorite customers. "Good morning, Ava! I hope you're doing well," she greeted. Noticing a second person behind Ava, she gave him a little wave. Charlie wondered if she'd seen him before, and then recalled a particularly hilarious incident in the town square where this man seemed to have been...messing with people. The baker managed to hide her amusement, wondering if another such situation was occurring. "Hello to you, too!" She barely got the words out before she heard the telltale jingles signaling the entrance of another customer. Tilting her head to look around the first two, Charlie gasped a little at seeing the prince enter. Not that the royal family didn't stop by from time to time, but as far as she knew, it was a very normal day with no celebrations. She couldn't help but be a little nervous as he requested a tart - what if he didn't like it? She really did want him to like it. "Coming right up," Charlie chirped, turning to retrieve the cherry desserts from the shelf.

The poor girl nearly dropped the pan at the sound of a loud yell. She recognized it immediately, rolling her eyes. Only one person came in nearly all the time searching for chocolate croissants. "Good morning, Philip," she called, steadying the tarts in her hands. "Your croissants are on their way, but please, don't give the other customers a heart attack," Charlie added with an exasperated smile. Boisterous as he was, he certainly livened the place up. Returning to the front counter, she was surprised to see this time a knight dragging a young lady into the shop. The knight, she recognized - Charlie had seen the knight patrolling around the castle, and on occasion, the city. She didn't recognize the lady. A newcomer, probably, to both the bakery and the town. She smiled at the warm greeting between the knight and "Philly", noting the whispered conversation between a now tense Ava and her companion. Charlie was quite sure now that they had been up to something.

Another jingle alerted her to yet another customer, and this time Charlie's gasp was much louder. The king had just walked in. The KING! She wasn't sure whether to be terrified or elated, but either way her hands were shaking ever so slightly as she set down the tarts. "Please sir, take your pick of the tarts," she merely said, turning back to the prince. Suddenly Prince Elliot wasn't quite so shocking or scary - not with his father also in the shop. The baker sincerely wondered if she was dreaming for a second before she burnt her hand on the hot pan, having brushed her hand against it without thinking. "Ouch," she muttered turning to dip it in some cool water. Maybe that would help her to wake up, too. This was certainly shaping up to be an interesting morning.

Nodding to the knight who requested the croissants, she smiled and gestured that they'd be ready in a moment. She removed her hand from the water and went to prepare a plate of the apparently famous pastries, glancing around her now crowded shop at all of the curious conversations happening within earshot. Charlie giggled. Just another day in the bakery. My, if only some of these people weren't here - she could have moved them...elsewhere. However, she wasn't risking discovery by those who couldn't keep a secret. After all, her idea was only fun if people didn't blab about it!

Kalinda nods. "Yeah, yeah! We took a shortcut! We're sort of lost now though." She admits, her eyes sweeping across the area. She had no idea where they had gone off to. She had never been inside the castle before.

William laughed nervously, “I’ll just take whichever one you recommend. Is your hand alright? You seem to be under a lot of pressure” he asked Charlie while looking around the bakery, he was looking for Noah.

"SORRY!! AND THANK YOU!" Phillip told Charlie and then turned to Rosaline "AND THANK YOU TOO!" before finally turning to Thea "I actually don't have a lot of gold on me you guys are lifesavers... and hey that's no small task either, it takes a lot of mental and physical strength to work around the farm, if I got to be honest you probably could take me on an arm wrestling duel!" He giggled a bit, even though it's true. "Towards were do you live, if you wouldn't mind being a lil more specific?"

Noah, now realizing that his father is in the bakery, ducks behind Ava's back. If he can't see me, he can't find me. He reasoned, hoping that Ava would notice that The King was in the bakery.

Ava was confused a little at first but then it hits them "ah!" they whispered, or a little louder than a whisper, and puffed up in an attempt to better hide the way taller prince. The hat helps a little, probably. The king doesn't have any supernatural hearing abilities as far as Ava knows, but they still held their breath.

Regina groaned. "All I wanted was a cup of something to drink and a tart. Is that so much to ask?" She leaned against the table, still running a hand through her hair. All of this ruckus was starting to give her a headache. She sat down at the table, tapping her fingers against it impatiently. "Maybe I should just come back later," she muttered to herself.

"Opal!" A voice cut through the air, magnified by something resting on the shoulders of the Summoner. "You aren't talking their ears off about your mysticisms, are you?" Tirik seemed to appear, his form melting away from something that seemed like a shadow. The Magus eyed the two apprentices closely, studying each of their faces. "Valentin and Kalinda?" He pointed to each of them in turn, their names already memorized. The Mage nodded, then made a small indication with his hand. The shadow from earlier melted away from the wall, slipped across the ground in the morning sun, and joined with the shadow that Tirik was casting.

Thea laughs a little, "I guess it is." She isn't very keen on the arm wrestling duel... invitation? Acceptance? Information? But she tries to repay the giggle anyways. At the very mention of her home however, it seems as though a light bulb goes off in her head.
"Aha! I am glad you ask!" she says, finding a map from God knows where, and shows it to the knight.

Opal's expressions seems doubtful, its feels as if it pierces right through you, they lift their orb and point it towards the two young mages as it begins to levitate and emit a faint blue light. Opal is quick to find out what they were up to in the last 15 minutes, since their magical aura is weak, it wasn't too hard to uncover it. They look very judgmentally towards their direction for a second as they began to slowly walk closer, something which would be a lot more intimidating if they weren't so small(149/4'9), they slowly opened their mouth waiting a second they finally begin speaking
"I am assuming you are just really eager, you should really show me that shortcut someday" Their voice was cheerful, actually maybe a bit too cheerful, it was really obvious how excited they were to teach some new kids about their craft. They quickly extended their hand towards Valentin ,since he talked first, offering them a handshake "My Name is Opal, I assume you are..." they playfully tap his forehead with their free hand "Valentin, correct?" he let out a playful smirk before their head turned towards the other apprentice "and you are..." it takes them a quick thought to continue "Kalind-a? Kalind-o? Not sure, it takes me a second to fully grasp everything, my sincerest apologies"

(sorry i just saw tirik reply but i don't want to delete all of it ,so i will act like this happened before he came around the corner)

Opal's entire positive energy gets halted as they hear Tirik's voice from behind them. "I would have you know these two seem to be very eager to learn about my craft, apparently they took a 'shortcut' to get here quickly, isn't that lovely? Wouldn't want to scare them away with any wild beast on their first day now, would we?" They say in an almost smug tone

Phillip takes out a small marker and with a lot of excitement starts scribbling on the map without any care in the world, after about 20 seconds he puts it back down and points at Thea's house "I knew you reminded me of something! I live riiight.... here!" and when Thea looked back down a small stickman outside of a childish looking house (yknow... square and triangle) seemed to be no less than 1 finger's length away from her own."I've seen you working on the fields one night when I was coming back from one of my shifts! That's so cool!"

"I guess I won't be getting that food as I wanted," Regina muttered. She pushed her chair away from the table. A little more training couldn't hurt anyone. Quietly, she made her way through the door and into the city. She ignored the stares of the villagers. They couldn't get enough of her, could they? She tried not to make eye contact as she went back to her horse.
