Mitsu Ishioka/Lilium: The leader of the Ambrosia Trio, as well as the eldest of the four heroines. She is witty, quick-thinking, yet also a bit of a control freak and perfectionist. Her weapon is a Hammer, and her spell is "Aurantiaco Flos".

PROLOGUE:

Takatoro city. A tranquil, sleepy little town that was often forgotten about. After all, not much went on there.

Or at least, that's how it used to be.

A young girl wearing an odd purple dress could be seen running towards an odd creature. Grasping a sword in her left hand, she slashed at it. A long, unnaturally thin arm raised up to shield the rest of it's body. Then, it attempted to back hand the girl. She quickly jumped out of the way, much higher than any average Joe.

Landing on the top of a half-destroyed building, the girl closed her eyes in concentration. Suddenly, a blinding purple aura flowed around her, as she pointed her sword at the creatures blank, unmoving face.

"Bellus Venenum!" With a cry that seemed to echo to the furthest reaches of the city, the girl opened her eyes. A sudden blast of bright purple, slightly resembling flowers, was fired at the creature. Glowing flowers began to appear all over its body, completely covering any trace of the beast. With a sickening, indescribable screech, it abruptly broke into millions of pieces, not unlike glass.

With an exhausted sigh, the girl retreated into places unknown.

CHAPTER 1:

"Leave.Her.Alone.". Rin Sasagawa scoffed at the ridiculous attempt at a threat. She turned to see rose colored orbs aggressively boring into her emerald eyes, which she struggled not to roll.

"Oh come on Yukari-chan(1), I was just trying to help her with her hair." Rin gestured to the girl she stood next to, who looked to be on the verge of tears. What was such a big deal that would cause a crowd to gather?

"I mean, look at it! It looks like something a baby would wear,an-"

"Would you shut up?!" Yukari snapped. "Acting spoiled is one thing Rin, being a brat is something completely different." When she noticed Rin's eye twitch, Yukari smirked.

"What's wrong Rin-chan? Did I hit a nerve? Not so nice when it happens to you, huh?" Rin opened her mouth to reply, but was interrupted by the school bell ringing. With a "hmph!" she grabbed her books, and marched off to class. If there was one thing that got on her nerves, it was that know-it-all loud mouth Yukari. Her and her stupid friends, one of whom she'd be having to deal with in this class.

"Good morning, Rin-chan." Erika said, smiling softly. Rin just rolled her eyes as she took a seat. This was going to be a long day, she could already tell.

(1: "chan" is a suffix used in Japan. It is mostly used by young girls when referring to each other.)

CHAPTER 2:

The longer class went on, the harder it became for Rin to keep her eyes open. Typically, she would be able to tolerate her instructor's monotone voice, dully explaining formulas more complicated than they needed to be. However, an...incident occurred last night, one that prevented her from getting a good night's sleep.

Suddenly, she was snapped awake by a deep sense of sickening dread. Dread far deeper than the kind felt during a horror movie, when you knew the character was about to meet their end. No, this was much worse. Rin shakily raised her hand

"Sensei(1), I'm feeling nauseous. May I go see the nurse?" The teacher merely nodded as he wrote up a sick note for her. As she was walking towards the door, she passed by a certain brunette, who eyed her until she walked out the door.

××××××××

Erika watched as Rin disappeared behind the class door, her eyes narrowing slightly.

"She's probably going to have to go home." Erika heard the teacher comment. Before he could ask, her hand shot up in the air.

"I'll grab her stuff for her, Sensei!" Without waiting for a reply, Erika was out the door. She was just quick enough to see her classmate grab something out of her bag, then shut her locker and take off the other way. Erika did the same, then quickly followed after Rin.

Notes:
(1: Sensei means "teacher" in Japanese)
(2: I'll be using "××××××××" to represent a change in the point of view)

Hope you enjoyed this chapter!

CHAPTER 3:

After running for what felt like ages, Erika arrived at the school's back entrance. She halted herself as two familiar faces came into view.

"Yukari-chan, Mitsu-chan!" She cried. Her friends turned to face her, one of them sighing.

"Geez Erika, why are you always the last one here?" Yukari groaned. The three began running away from the school. As the minutes ticked by, the dread grew stronger in each of them, though it hardly felt natural. Suddenly, the girls stopped, completely stunned. In front of them stood a large, mannequin-esque creature, it's face completely blank. Now, if you think that's what surprised them, you'd be wrong.

"She beat us here again!? HOW?!" Yukari cried. For, standing in front of the creature, was a familiar green eyed dark brunette. She was wearing a peculiar purple dress, and a sword was gripped tightly in her left hand. She charged, slashing her blade at the beast.

Mitsu stepped up. She pushed her glasses back into her face, covering her orange eyes

"Nevermind that, we've got much bigger a situation to deal with. Ready?" Her friends nodded, stepping forward to join her. Taking something out of their pockets, the trio were suddenly engulfed in a ray of light

×××××××××

"Figures." Rin mumbled under her breath. No matter how fast she was, those three always seemed to be right behind her. Shaking her head, she swiftly dodged a large hand swinging at her. Quickly, she ran up the unnaturally thin arm, up onto it's shoulders. Jumping up, she slashed at its face. The monster shrieked, then thrashed about in pain. The sudden movement caused Rin to lose her balance, and she went plummeting down to earth below.

CHAPTER 4:

LAST TIME ON DRAGON BA- oh wait wrong story.

Rin braced herself for the incoming impact. It was then a surprise, of course, when she was instead caught by someone. Said someone gently placed her on the ground.

"Are you alright, Rin-chan?"The named looked up, a familiar brunette in front of her. However, something was...different. Instead of her school uniform, Erika was wearing a strange yellow dress.

"I told you guys not to call me "Rin" when I'm in this form!" She growled. Quickly standing up, she prepared to charge at the beast again, but was stopped at the sight in front of her.

The other two, wearing an orange dress and a pink dress respectively, were already dealing with the creature. Yukari ran around the beast, swiftly dodging its swings at her. Within minutes, it was completely tangled up her whip.

"Mitsu, NOW!" She cried. The blonde nodded, hauling her hammer up towards the sky. An orange aura appeared around her.

"Aurantiaco Flos!" She cried. Her hammer suddenly tripled in size, glowing like she was. Mitsu swung it at the monster, and it to shattered into little fragments.

"Nice one, Mitsu-chan!" Erika called. Rin simply rolled her eyes as the two walked over.

"You know, Rin-chan," Yukari started. "I don't think I ever heard you thank Erika for saving you from breaking something important." She raised an eyebrow.

"I didn't ask for your help." She replied. A scowl had made its home on her face as she turned to walk away.

"Oh, and by the way," She turned her head back towards the trio.

"When we're out here, call me 'Belladonna' instead. Capeesh?" With that, "Belladonna" walked away.

CHAPTER 5:

Opening a square container, Mitsu took her lunch out. As she began to eat, her eyes darted over towards the corner of the room.

There was Rin, who had surprisingly "felt much better" after the incident was dealt with. She was sitting at the not-so-affectionately named "Popular Table", along with some of the meanest girls in school, many of whom Rin was friends with. Even after so many months, it still boggled Mitsu's mind that Rin, of all people, was chosen to be a hero.

"Well, what do you think, Mitsu-chan?" The blonde suddenly snapped back to reality. Turning to her friends, she nervously grinned.

"Think of what?" Yukari rolled her eyes at this, but still smiled. She jutted a thumb at the brunette seated next to her.

"Erika thinks we should have superhero names or somethin', like little miss diva over there. Personally, I don't get the appeal."

"Oh come, on Yukari-chan! It'll be fun!" Erika clasped her hands in excitement. Mitsu brightened at her friends positivity.

"Yeah, what's the harm? Besides, having 'codenames' could come in handy." Upon realizing she was outnumbered, Yukari huffed.

"Fine." She grabbed paper and a pencil of her back, smacking them down onto the table.

"So...names. Any ideas?" Her eyebrow raised as she looked at her friends.

CHAPTER 6:

Rin didn't even spare a glance at the trio for the rest of the day. They were the last people she wanted anything to do with. A nerd, a ditz, and a hothead, what kind of team was that? Shaking her head, Rin zoned back in to her friends' conversation.

" Oooh, a slumber party sounds totally fun, Konomi-chan!" One of them giggled. Konomi smiled smugly.

"Duh, of course it's gonna be fun. Me and my mom will pick you everyone up in the evening, that is, if you all can come."

Rin nodded vigorously along with the other girls. Finally, after what had been an absolutely draining last few days, she'd finally highly needed R&R! She was practically skipping as she followed her friends out of the classroom. However, they all stopped when someone bumped into Konomi. The second party fell into the floor.

"Hey! Watch where you're going!" Konomi shouted. The short brunette in front of her slowly got to her feet.

"I-I'm very sorry, Konomi-chan!" Erika bowed in apology, causing Konomi to smirk.

"Oh it's no problem! After all, we don't expect a baby's first steps to be graceful!" She sneered. The girls behind her snickered.

"Look at those braids! What are you, five?" One of them taunted.

"Of course she is! Five-inches tall, that is." Another scorned. Erika felt her face burn with shame. Quickly, she averted her eyes towards Rin. All she saw though, was the girl snickering along with the others. She felt her eyes become misty.

"Awww, is the baby gonna cry?" Konomi mocked. "Why don't you go run to your mommy? Oh wait, you can't!" That was it. Like a busted dam, tears cascaded down Erika's redeemed face. She turned tail, bolting away from the laughing group of girls.

CHAPTER 7:

"They did WHAT?!" Yukari screeched. Of course, it was still hard to hear her over the noisy chatter on the bus.

"It's not that big of a deal guys, really!" Erika's friends stared at her, both with expressions that screamed ' seriously?'. The brunette looked at her feet.
Suddenly, the bus came to a halt. A certain someone walked by their seats, without even sparing a glance. That didn't stop them from seeing her smile, though making Yukari scowl.

"That brat, what does she have to be so happy about?!" She spat. Erika tried her best to calm the Ravenette down. Meanwhile, Mitsu's eyes followed Rin until she was off of the bus, eyebrows furrowed. After a few brief moments, she shook her head. There were just some things she would never understand.

××××××××

Rin practically bolted home after stepping off the bus. Quickly stepping inside her house, she went to find her parents. Thankfully, it wasn't to difficult to convince them, and pretty soon she was up in her room packing. The smile refused to leave her face, and why would it? After what had been a hectic few weeks, she'd get to do something [i]normal[i]. Of course, she didn't dislike being a hero. On the contrary, she was rather proud of herself for doing something so good. However, it had setbacks. Lack of sleep, lack of good grades, and a lack of free time, just to name the big ones

But now, she would get to enjoy all those things (well, except for the grades, but she honestly couldn't care less) games, snacks, and just a good time with some of her closest friends. What more could a girl ask for?

CHAPTER 8:

Despite having finished packing, Rin still felt as though something was missing. She pondered it for a bit, before her eyes landed in her backpack.

"Oh....Oh! Of course!" She quickly unzipped the bag, her hand rummaging through the many textbooks and papers inside. Eventually, her fingers came across the object of her search.

A bracelet, crafted out of dark purple beads, was grasped in her hand. However, what she had really been looking for, was the small, ellipse -shaped gemstone attached to it. It was glowing a shiny lime green, said glow seeking to pulse, not unlike a heartbeat.

Rin slid it onto her wrist. The gemstone's pulse quickened for a moment, then returned to its original pace.

With that, her grin returned once more as she grabbed her bag. She quickly made her way down the stairs, and onto the front porch. Setti,ng the suit case down, she took a seat herself, and eagerly waited.

And waited.

And waited.

And waited.

The seconds turned into minutes, and the minutes to hours. Each passing moment took a piece of Rin's excitement with it. Looking up at the sky, her mind registered the blend of gold, orange, and pink it has become. It was only then, that she came to the same realization as you.

Eyes downcast, she barely even processed the feeling of dread among all the other emotions swirling within her. It wasn't until she saw the quickened pulse of her bracelet, that she even moved.

With a sigh, she rose to her feet. She sprinted down the driveway and sidewalk, unaware that she had left her suitcase sitting on the porch, alone.

CHAPTER 9:

Erika was surprised to see that they had arrived first. Typically, Rin always found a way to beat them to the doll's location. And yet, now she was nowhere to be found.

"Come on girls!" Mitsu's voice snapped Erika out of her train of thought. Nodding, she grabbed an yellow, oval- shaped gemstone out of her pocket. Her friends did the same, though they were orange and pink, respectively. In a quick flash of light, the girls were now wearing the same dresses as their last fight. Weapons suddenly appeared in their hands.

Running towards the monster, Erika held up her bow. A barrage of golden arrows fired into the creatures back. It screeched, then turned its head at the brunette. It raised a clawed, bony hand, slashing it at Erika. She dodged it pretty quickly, landing on top of a building. She fired more arrows at the beast, angering it even more. However, as Erika went to grab more, she was backhanded off the building, falling onto the land below. Erika groaned, in too much pain to notice the doll reach for her.

"LOOK OUT!" A rope, covered in thorns, lassoed around the dolls wrist. The beast swiveled its head towards the whip's owner, only to be completely tied up by a second whip. It howled and began to struggle, giving Yukari the chance to run over to the brunette.

"Erika-chan! Erika-chan!" She shook her gently, but received no response. Panic spread across the ravenette's face, until an idea lit up in her mind.

"Soleil." After a few brief moments, Erika slowly opened a single eye. A slight smile spreading onto her features.

"I thought you said you weren't gonna use the nicknames." She laughed slightly. Yukari was filled with relief, and then mock annoyance.

"Well...it was in emergency!" Her tone of voice was more irritated than she truly was.

"Does that mean you'll admit I was right, Rosegold?" Mitsu chimed in, popping up next to them. Yukari rolled her eyes, though the smile on her face contradicted it.

"Oh please, 'Lilium' ," She replied, making take air quotes with her hands. " Like I wou-" The conversation was interrupted by a loud shriek, and the sound of a rope snapping.
