Sign Ups

The RP is taking place in a world called Erdas.
In this world, everyone, when they come of age, drink a special nectar. If they are able, they will call upon a spirit animal. The nectar is under the control of an organisation of people with spirit animals, called the greencloaks.
The lands of Erdas used to be protected by 12 great beasts. Centuries ago, these great beasts had sacrificed their lives for the protection of Erdas. Now they are returning, and are bonding with humans.
Erdas is made up of five continents, Eura, Zhong, Amaya, Nilo and Stetriol. Stetriol was abandoned and neglected long since the king of the place, also known as the conquerer, went to war against the rest of the world. This happened twice, but with centuries of gap in between. They are rising again, and must be stopped with the help of the Great Beasts.

Suvansh is living his life normally in Trunswik. He is the son the Duke. He is very excited, because he is turning 11 tomorrow, and then he will be allowed to drink the nectar. He wishes to call upon a spirit animal like his father did...

Smiling as his pet snake curled around his neck, Odysseys glanced around him. The savanna landscape stretched before him and he breathed in deeply, the dry air as familiar as the withered grass underfoot. If he really tried to hear, he could faintly catch the sounds of clamor as a village scrambled to prepare for someone's coming of age ceremony. Technically that someone was him, having been found after he had been presumed dead for years, and despite the danger it could pose, everyone demanded that he drink the nectar anyways. Odysseys didn't particularly care, he had his own companion to keep him company. He didn't need a spirit animal but it would be a pain to argue at this point. So the young boy accepted this and patiently waited, the light purr of his reptilian companion humming in the background

Bella was in the Zhong region with her eagle on her shoulder and she was sitting in a tree watching everything around them

Tazuli looked down at the village from a tree she’s on, with her Falcon, Essix sitting on her head, her younger brother, Amane was under the tree riding on his Wolf, Bringgan, usually people his age wouldn’t be able to ride a wolf even if it’s a great beast but he’s the shortest and smallest kid his age so he’s able to ride on Bringgan

Suvansh was getting ready for the nectar ceremony. A few centuries ago, his ancestor Connar, who was from the same town, had called upon the great beast Briggan, and had helped fight against the conquerors, Kovo, Gerathon and Halawir. Saying was that the Great Beasts were returning once more. He could be one of the people to call upon one of them. The local greencloak gave a call for Suvansh. He held his breath and went over to the center of the town where the ceremony was to take place. A few other friends of his were also there who had just turned 11. He nervously went and sat down. Some of his friends went first and were unsuccessful in calling a spirit animal. Till his turn came, he became very nervous. When he drank the nectar, it tasted like pizza and cake made by his sister. The saying was true, nectar tasted like a humans favorite food. He drank it and waited for a while. At first, he thought he failed. Next moment, in a bright flash a huge Elk appeared. It wasn't any normal elk, it was Tellun, the king of the Great Beasts.

The nectar ceremony was a strangely subdued affair which Odysseus didn't expect considering who he was and everything, but considering his age, he supposed everyone was just concerned for his health. The nectar tasted slightly... bland? But the flavor nonetheless brought warmth throughout his whole body before it was replaced by overwhelming nausea. Coughing, Odysseus squeezed his eyes shut to wait for the dizziness to pass when a loud gasp had them flying open again. Before him stood the most striking cobra he had ever seen in his life and he gulped dryly. Sure he had heard the rumors that the Great Beasts and the Conquerors were returning but to summon one himself? The wave of nausea crashed over him again and he toppled to the side, the last image of Gerathon slithering over to coil her body around him searing into his brain before he blacked out.

Hailey let out a nervous sigh as the nectar was brought before her. This could very well be the moment that changed her life. Her hands reached out, to grab the nectar. She slowly drank it. She nervously shut her eyes, only opening them when she heard a soft gasp ripple through the crowd. Slowly she opened her eyes, then widened them at what she saw. A large black and white panda stood before her, looking directly into her eyes. It was Jhi, the panda.

Eura's grasslands bloomed blithely in the bright open sun, helping to calm some of the unease that was wriggling in Naomi's stomach. The village shuffled in the background, their excitement palpable. She could use some of their confidence right about now; due to her age, she was at risk of bonding sickness. It wasn't something that ran into her family-as she'd been assured by her father and mother- but it was still a chance. All of her friends, peers pushed her toward it; and it proved to be society custom anyway. And, Naomi never quite believed in superstition. She took a deep breath as the local Duke called out her name, summoning her to drink the holy nectar. Naomi picked up the goblet, the cup cool against her hands, and drank. The succulent flavor of her fathers sushi-like dessert was quickly replaced with a raw burn in her chest. Lurching away, Naomi's hands flew to her neck; her breathing became labored and ragged. Nonetheless, she picked up her head as a bright flash of light heralded the arrival of a swan. Not just any swan; Ninani clasped Naomi in her wings as Naomi passed out.

Jerking awake, Odysseus shot up and gasped at the room he had been carried to. He was still in his village so that was good he supposed? Swinging himself out of bed, the poor boy stumbled towards the door, pushing back the strips of leaf that served as a door and stared bug eyed at the sheet of water pouring down outside. For the first time in his life, rain fell down on the dry savanna of his home village. The slither of his pet snake brushed against his ankles and Odysseus bent down to pick her up, softly stroking her head. Turning his head around, he couldn't see his own spirit animal around until he looked up, meeting Gerathon's narrowed predatory eyes with a hard glare of his own.

Aurora pulled her hair into a ponytail. Her mother had brushed it, making it silky and soft. She put her claw pins into her hair, making it look like she has claw marks on either side of her head. She left her room and went outside for her bonding ceramony.
His smile has a grip on me <3

Suvansh's family was so proud of him today. Calling upon a spirit animal was a big deal, let alone a great beast and let alone Tellun. Suvansh couldn't think of anything in shock and wonder. Tellun stood tall and saw Suvansh with his multi-colored eyes.

Odysseus said nothing to the intimidating snake hanging off the ceiling, instead cooing to his pet that had curled around his neck. Pulling on a proper shirt, he stepped out into the rain, relishing the light drumming of water against his skin. Breathing in the musky scent of the sun baked earth receiving water in the first time in decades, he began to walk out of the village and into the fields where farmers were hurrying to tend to their crops. Spreading his arms wide, he laughed lightly as he spun around in the downpour, ignoring the burning gaze his Spirit Animal was pinning him with. Nausea made him stumble and fall butt first into the mud but it did nothing but draw even more laughter from him. He didn't know why he was so happy about water falling from the sky but the giant smile couldn't leave his mouth. He knew his happy moment wouldn't last. He had called upon one of the fallen Great Beasts. Greencloaks would come to collect him, he knew that, so before that could happen, he would have to leave. The thought of abandoning people who were now looking to him to call upon the rains hurt, but he would leave either way and he'd rather do it on his own terms.

Tazuli and Amane’s parents died years ago, before they met their spirit animals, well they hated them anyway, even if they’re still alive they would have left them years ago

Ninani's chirping eventually drew Naomi from her slumber...the graceful white swan chirping as she stroked her summounairs hair with the gentleness that one might expect from one's own mother.
