Shiny Raylong??

Uh...

I completed the Raylong quest for the first time and the message appeared saying that Raylong gave me an egg, but the Raylong sprite was shiny?? I'm assuming this doesn't mean I got a shiny Raylong so what's going on?

I got the normal Raylong when I did it, so it might mean you got a shiny. Or it’s just a sprite error (most likely not)

I think it may be just a random chance for the image to appear shiny, like the pinsir and jynx at the Emera Square and it doesn't mean anything. Though I don't know for sure so don't quote me on that. I suppose the only way you'll know for certain is by hatching it. :,D

It is random if you get a regular or shiny Raylong image there. Raylong can be hunted with the Pokeradar like any other Pokemon :)

It's a well-known Easter Egg, though ^^'
Plenty of pokémon drawings/sprites around the site have a chance of appearing as their shiny.

Yeah, I know... but you aren't obtaining those Pokemon (e.g. when the Rumbling Charmander appears it doesn't mean you have received a Charmander)

Many of the legends do it, though. When you go to battle them on rumble missions to get the summon item, for example, they can appear shiny in the battle. However, that also does not guarantee shininess.
