Sinnoh's Secret
Forum-Index → Roleplay → Pokémon RP → Sinnoh's SecretPaisley nodded in thanks and took a bite of the poffin, immediately hating the taste. She resisted the urge to spit it out on the ground though in front of everyone and elected to take a small walk around the tree so she could casually drop the rest of the poffin in the grass and swallow the piece in her mouth whole before the taste could get worse in her mouth. She reached into her backpack and pulled out a water bottle, beginning to drink it while casually leaning against the tree.
Evelyn shrugs. "Maybe he's waiting inside for us to knock," she suggests as more people come up. There's a pair, a boy and a girl, walking over together with an Eevee hopping with them. Siblings, maybe? And there's another boy, approaching the Green Tea Girl.
"Hey!" she calls to the (maybe) siblings, waving them over. "Are you with us?"

Sorrel quietly resists the urge to crawl into a ball and die as he hears more people arrive. When he agreed to this stupid journey, it was to get away from his parents and people in general, not to join them. He draws his knees to his chest and rocks slightly, staring at the distant horizon in hopes that Professor Rowan shows up before someone tries to (he shudders at the thought) socialize with him.
[also totally making adrian & phoebe siblings now]
Phoebe looks up at Adrian, who smiles and waves at the rest of them awkwardly. "Yes, hi. Sorry for not introducing ourselves we were just kind of -- lost I guess." he admitted.
"My name's Adrian and this is my stepsister, Phoebe." he introduced.
"Hi." she muttered. "This is Eevee and that's Adrian's Sneasel." she finished, both Pokemon crying their names as they were introduced.
sorrel's gay, hes accepted it, but hes definitely not out. LMAO
thaT WAS UNINTENTIONAL]
She jumps when the door opens, turning towards it excitedly once she realizes who it is.
[MAL WHY]
Evelyn beams at the two, privately pleased she'd gotten it right. "Nice to meet you, Adrian, Phoebe! I'm Evelyn!" Before she can say anything else, she jumps when the door opens. Once she realizes who it is, she gasps excitedly. She'd never been allowed to have a Pokemon before, and she's only ever been surrounded by water and grass types due to her sickly disposition.

Sorrel sighs deeply with relief as the door swings open, standing up and brushing off the grass from his pant legs and ignoring the green stains. They'll wash out. "Hello, Professor," he mumbles with all the politeness he can muster (not much), putting his hands in his jacket pockets and rocking on the balls of his feet.
Paisley glanced up as the professor appeared. She got a giddy feeling but tried her best to hide it as she made her way behind a few others into the lab. She said nothing, casually adjusting her backpack straps and looking around the place. She just wanted her Pokemon so she could start battling as soon as possible.
“Maeve! You’ve grown!” Rowan grinned, ruffling her hair as she walked in. “Gosh, is Sean here yet?”
“SEAN?!” Maeve yelped as she glanced around. “Oh my. Please say that’s a joke.”
“Maeve! Don’t say stuff about your favorite friend!” A tall 15 year old guy frowned as a joke.
“Ew. You’re here.”
“Maeve I saw you like, three days ago.”
"Sean?" Adrian asked himself, taking a seat and watching as the boy walked in and conversed with Maeve and the Professor. "Oh..." he mumbled, blushing a bit causing Phoebe to grow a bit confused.
"Adrian, what's the matter?" she asked, nudging him gently but the boy simply shook his head and smiled at his stepsister.

Sorrel stops as soon as he's inside, the door still open. He looks around, internally impressed by the state of the art technology and all the different kinds of Pokemon available. He recognizes all of them, mostly because he's always been a voracious reader, but he's never actually seen most of them in person. His parents, both retired ace trainers, have several powerful Pokemon, but he's never actually interacted them outside of occasionally feeding them, too intimidated to actually do more than that.
The Pokemon here aren't nearly as terrifying, all much too low leveled to do much harm at all. The Absol napping on the floor might leave some deep claw marks, but nothing in comparison to what his stepfather's Flygon might do with a simple flap of her wings. Nevertheless, he knows better than to underestimate the power these guys have. They might not even reach level 10, but they're definitely dangerous, and probably more powerful than him.
Well, maybe not the Budew, he amends, casting a look at the harmless bud Pokemon tottering at the girl's, Evelyn, feet.
"I've never seen so much Pokemon in one place before!" she whispered to herself. She was feeling slightly scared, but she knew that they were probably used to trainers and won't harm anyone. She turned to the Professor.
"Are we going to have the so called "tutorial" you said on the letter?" she asked.
Maeve received a purple one. She opened it, and out came a Stunky. Maeve nearly squealed. "Oh my gosh, it's adorable!" She grinned, bending down at the purple smiling skunk.
Sean smiled, as his Chimchar crawled on his shoulder. "This guy evolves into a fiery fighting machine, if I remember." He grinned, then felt the skin on the back of his neck prick. Sean looked up, hearing his name. His eyes darted around for a minute, before settling on a boy who he thought might be rather cute. Sean darted back to Maeve, talking in a low whisper.
"Maemae, who's that?" Sean asked his childhood best friend, head jerking in Adrian's direction, the girl rolling her eyes.
"Adrian or something?" She shrugged.
Paisley was handed a pokeball, it was green and black and she had a bit of trouble before realizing it was a dusk ball. She found it quite cool, having an almost camo pokeball. She spun the Pokeball between her fingers for a moment before tossing the ball forward, watching as a beam of light and a low hum filled the air. She watched as the light burst and it took her eyes a moment to adjust to the little blue thing now sitting on the lab floor. "Gib" The small Pokemon looked up at its new trainer hopefully. Paisley squinted a bit.
Gib? She thought to herself What is this weird stubby thing?
She slowly bent down to the Poke's height, reaching a hand out. She hadn't seen this Pokemon before so it was a surprise to her. She kinda found the little Poke cute, but from watching battles she knew that most "cute" Pokemon weren't too tough... His sharp teeth looked promising though.
"I'm gonna call you Taz." She said after a long pause, placing a hand out towards the Pokemon
The Pokemon grinned and let out a loud and excited "Gible!"
"Nice to meet you, partner, I'm Phoebe." she introduced as the light faded only to be revealed to her that the Pokemon inside was none other than the Evolution Pokemon, Eevee. "I hope we can get along great!" Phoebe smiled at the Normal-type. The Eevee immediately smiled at the girl and cried out its name happily.
[Spontaneous Starter swap] Adrian carefully gripped the Lure Ball given to him by Professor Rowan and looked up while smiling only to see Sean looking over at him. He immediately turned his head and dropped it low, embarrassed, in case Sean caught himself looking over.
"Uh..." he projected nervously. "Let's see what's inside..." he muttered to himself, causing Phoebe to look back at him with concern. "You okay?" she asked. "Yeah, Pheebs, I'm okay." he answered quickly before taking a deep breath and releasing the Pokemon inside the Lure Ball. Once the light faded, the Pokemon was revealed as a Piplup, a Water-type Starter. "Wow... A Piplup?" he asked happily. "I've seen what the Piplup Evolutionary Line can do in both Battles and Contests. Hopefully this little guy doesn't mind both." he winked, going down to pet the Penguin Pokemon only to be pecked by it. "Ouch!" he exclaimed.
Maeve grinned as she took a grey pokedex with purple accents.
Sean looked away from Adrian quickly, not wanting to get caught staring but probably already been caught. He took a dark green Pokedex, then cracked his knuckles as he sat down in a chair by the door. Maeve sat on the floor in front of him.
"Chimcar, huh? Fire types rock." Maeve grinned, glancing at the Pokémon.
