Legend of the Chrystanigh (Semi-Literate)

Taking a deep breath, he retreated back to the trunk of the tree, climbed down a little, and jumped on a lower (but high enough that she couldn't get to it, he hoped) branch. With no cover around to hide him, his tail twitched nervously. Please don't let this be a stupid decision. I've made enough of those today.
"Um, hi." he said.
Lunaro gave a small smile, both to herself and the little Grass type that had emerged. So her sense weren't completely dulled.
"Hello there." She said, sitting up straight. "You don't need to be as stiff as a Sudowoodo. I'm not gonna bite."
Her tail flicked, and she looked over her shoulder, seeing the flowers.
"I assume you saw my green fur." She turned back to face him, crimson eyes examining him. He seemed rather young. Younger than her, at least.
"I am Lunaro; have you ever heard of a Crystanigh?" Had the tales of these Pokemon spread? Hopefully they did; they were protectors to all Pokemon in every corner of the world.
Of course, maybe the little Treecko hadn't heard about them before.

A small ball of flame flickered to life, gently bobbing up and down in her paw. The sudden blob of heat swirled up her arm and into her other paw, which she had lifted. She snapped her paw closed, the fire dissipating in a tiny plume of smoke.
"Of course, with great power comes great responsibility. And a certain tyrant decided to take advantage of this gift the gods bestowed upon a select few 'mons. He was eventually killed off, but because of his sudden rise to power and greed, Arceus sentenced all Chrystanigh to their death."
Her crimson gaze seemed to go off somewhere, as if looking back in time.
"I was unfortunately caught in the war. I was the only Chrystanigh to escape, and was, by default, dubbed the leader of the group. I convinced Arceus to give Chrystanigh one more chance. If only I can find those who would be willing to learn..." She trailed away, thinking, her Fire type reverting back to Dark type without much thought.
"Heh, um... I'd be willing to, I guess," he said with a small smile.
"Wait, you're serious?" She asked, eyes wide. Someone was actually volunteering? Just like that?
"You do realize it's a lot of intense training, right?" Lunaro grimaced when she remembered all of that crazy work she had to go through trying to get to learn all of the types. And she still hadn't fully grasped their power.
"And don't you have any family around here?" Surely he wasn't living alone in these woods.
The Poochyena gave him a small, yet warm smile. "Well, we could go look for them, if you'd like."
If the little guy would rather be with his family, that was fine. Unless he seriously wanted to stay. Lunaro wasn't going to argue; it was his life after all. And he wasn't restricted staying in the group forever. He could always visit family and friends at any time if he did choose to stay.
She almost forced herself to change to the rough exterior of a Ground type, but she calmed herself when the Electric Mouse asked to join.
She smiled at the little Pokemon as well. "I have a feeling you were listening in on a lot of our conversation. Have you heard about the Chrystanigh? The protectors of long ago?"
As if in a demonstration, the back along her fur rippled, expanding into feathery, night black wings were tipped with an ashy grey colour. She beat her wings, turning to check them before she looked back at the little mouse.
His heart beat hard and he felt nervousness rising in the pit of his stomach. This was a huge decision and, despite what he had told Lunaro, Bracken wasn't completely sure he was ready to face something like this. But if he backed down now, he'd never have this chance again. He clenched his fists. It would be hard, but he'd just have to push through. Then maybe... then maybe he'd finally give his family something to be proud of.
"Welcome to the Chrystani-" She stopped, her ears pricked as something approached. Her gaze swung to the Gallade, and the fur along her spine and back instinctively rose.
The Pichu and Treecko had been an exception; she knew she could've taken them on if they proved hostile. Not to mention, they just seemed curious at first.
This was a larger Pokemon, especially since Gallade were known for their hand-to-hand combat skills. Her tail fluffed up, and her wings flared, ready to use a Quick Attack if he proved aggressive.
She took a step forward, slightly standing in front of the two Pokemon next to her.
"And who would you be?" She asked, crimson eyes examining the newest, tall arrival.
As she was starting to pick up and move again, she heard voices in the distance. As per usual, her curiosity got the better of her. So while she was still far away, she scampered high up a tree. Stepping lightly, she walked as silently as only a cat could, finally finding herself hidden among leaves, looking down at a clearing. There was a Treeko, probably the poor thing that the Zorua had tricked earlier, and a Pichu... wait, no. By the look on it's face, she should be seeing sparks. That must be the Zorua. And... a Poochyena with wings? Maybe a Zoruark? No, a Zoruark was too big to disguise itself as such a small pokemon. Besides, she'd never heard of any illusion pokemon being able to do a trick like that.
Laying down on the branch, she crossed her front paws and cocked her head to the side, watching the Poochyena fluff up at some Gallade. Dogs, really. Putting her head down, she kept perfectly still and silent in her little hiding spot.
