Lilac looked up at the flower on her head, it tilted to the left slightly as the flower drifted gracefully down into her cupped hands. She examined it quietly and looked to Shade, who seemed to be muttering a prayer. She smiled slightly.

Flare stretched and yawned, flicking the tip of her tail slightly.
''why are you questioning her Gloom?'' she asked.

once Shade finished his prayer he sighed and glanced over at her, giving her a warm smile as his gaze softened.
''i came to see if you were doing alright...'' he muttered softly, yet still loud enough for Lilac to be able to hear him.

Lilac nodded slowly, and gave him a gentle hug. “Thanks, Shade. I’m glad you’re here for me.” She smiled, and looked over at the grave, whispering her last respects.

Shade perked his ear's up and looked down down at her, a bit taken aback and blushing faintly before he relaxed and returned the hug, playfully ruffling her quills as he grinned.

The warmth of Shade's body relaxed Lilac. It soothed her body as she felt her eyes give in to the temptation of shutting off. Slowly, but surely, Lilac had fallen asleep in his arms.

Shade looked down and blushed even more, his tail wagging a tiny bit.
bless her heart.... she must be tired... he thought, one of his ears drooping.
he shifted her around a bit in his arm's and picked her up bridal style, making sure nothing would be left behind, then carried her back towards the base.

And Caleb was done with his lunch. He started to go back to the forest- as his house was there- by Spiderman-style shooting cobweb to objects and grappling over to them while throwing his lunch things in the trash. Soon, he would be in the forest. (not rn tho)

Lilac smiled a bit as Shade carried her back. She was drained from all the sobbing, and a good nap helped. The warmth of Shade and the slight rocking in his arms kept her from waking up.

Shade watched where he was going and sighed, pinning his ear's back a bit as a thought crossed his mind.
