You will receive a notification when someone will add you as friend .

That would get incredibly annoying. A lot of people already don't get notifications for stuff like that; given the number of random people who add you as a friend despite not knowing you, it would be REALLY bothersome, and what if someone dislikes you and tries to spam your notifications by repeatedly adding you as a friend and then removing you and then adding you again?

No support.
It's not that important to see who has added you.
If you want, you can just check by going on your friendlist and look at the amount of people who have added you.

Some people would be provoking users by constantly removing, and adding some to their friendlist just so they get lots of annoying notifications.

No support. I've been added to 120 users friend lists, most of which I don't know who they are and don't care to know that they added me.

I have only 14 friends on my friends list, and this is a high number for me because I've added several people JUST to let them contact me through Palpad.

So if this were to be added to the site I'd get a bunch of random "User has added you to their friends list" messages when other users add me.

Also, what if someone removes you from their friends list? Would you get a notification of that? Or only get a notification if the add you again?
And this can be used to spam notifications, since I can see users just adding a bunch of users to their friends lists just to get clicks (much to the effect of them pming to beg for clicks, but quicker to do on a larger scale)

Personally I don't see any actual perks to this other than the occasional real friend adding me to their list, and even then I'm able to see that they added me with a quick search through that page.

Adding onto my point.
238 users have already added me, and that number increases quite drastically everyday.
It would be very annoying for me to receive lots of un-necessary notification, like Shade has stated.

no support, unless an option to disable these notifications could be added to one of the settings pages

Unless there is a way to turn it off, that is. I'm lucky enough to not have too many strangers add me, but it'd still be very annoying.

No support. Imagine getting 107 notifications just for that? Yeah, that'd get pretty annoying quick. That's how many I would've gotten.
