so one day I was typing a message in the notifications and it started extending the box like I was hitting enter it didn't really matter because it looked the same but it was slightly annoying

two days after I go to notifications and all of the messages are spilling off to the right I play on my computer and I found this really weird and would like to fix it as soon as possible

(edit) now not spilling over the right but still doing the stretch when I try to type a message

I could be wrong, but I don't think that's what MidnatheBlackRobe means ^^ They said "it started extending the box like I was hitting enter".

Could you maybe give us a screenshot? From what you're describing, I think that might just be caused by slow wifi - it happens to me sometimes and can usually be solved by refreshing the page.

Screenshot as well please O.O If you just mean the box enlarges downwards as you type, isn't that normal? I couldn't find anything else that matches your description when I tried typing in my feeds.

My mum I believe is also suffering from this problem but It's down to the computer not the website, as my computer and me other family's computer is fine and don't suffer from this problem.

She uses firefox do you use that too?

Perhaps try switching to Chrome that might help.

1. The spilling over to the right [as in, the notifications stretch farther than allowed, disappearing behind the menu] happens whenever someone [in your friend list] makes a feed, with a broken url-code. As a url never has any spaces, it's one long string of characters, which gets displayed on one line.

2. You mean something like this, right?

In my case, the type-box expands, every time I hit backspace. I can add 'enter' to get my cursor on that same added line, but trying to backspace that enter, will not remove that extra space; it will add even more to it.

It's been happening on my Laptop for as long as I can remember, and I've always used Google Chrome [which you can also see on the screenshot], so it's not something that's happening on FireFox exclusively. The ironic part is that it's not happening on FireFox for me :'D

I did always attribute it to my device [and am not all that bothered by it], as it's been happening since forever, but if it really was your device, wouldn't the other browsers be affected the same, as the function is the same?

yes catlady that would explain the spilling off to the right

and yes when i'm typing the box enlarges downward though probably the strangest thing about it enlarging downwards is that it never did that on this computer until about a week and a half ago I haven't changed browsers or anything it just started happening and then after the spilling off to the right scenario happened I thought they must be connected so I made this thread
