for the wip, i think you should fix the eyes a bit, they're uneven haha
and maybe you should improve a bit on the arms so they look more like they're crossed (i think they are crossed??). i suggest drawing the other hand so it doesn't look like it's lost behind the other arm :v

I honestly think the leg your pokesona is holding up is a bit off? it just looks really weird to me, because I'm not sure a canine/feline could do that

how do you even pixel- the lineart is great and the shading even has the sort of crossed look-
although I'd suggest darkening the shading a bit on the pink, it's hard to see
As for the skills:
just pour your heart into it. It doesn't matter how long it takes, as long as it's been made from the heart.

woaah, that's cool :o one thing i dont really like though is the shading in the corner. it's a bit too dark there even when there's a light near it. other than that, it looks pretty nice!! : D

one thing you could improve on is the legs, since they seem to get narrower around the bend, then expand as the reach the paws, like a thinner hourglass shape. maybe look up some references and notice what the legs look like ?

I feel as if getting critiques for a
finished piece is kinda useless ? like, I know that it's helpful
for some people but getting advice for a sketch can be much more
helpful, as you can change parts of it since it isn't done. with a
finished piece on the other hand, most of the time the op usually
just leaves it the way it is.
I dunno, I was just thinking about it. different opinions would be nice.

well, i do agree a bit but critiques
on a finished piece would help the person in more parts like
shading or background than just the character. along with that, i
feel as if criticism is meant to point out flaws that a person
needs to work on, not improve that one piece to make it look
better.

I do agree with you I guess, since it would even impossible to give a critique about shading or coloring if it's just a sketch. I think it's just more of a personal preference since I tend to forget stuff a lot and the advice I get on finished pieces never gets used :'>

I like it. I think it's a bit nasty if the holes are like legit holes in the skin, but otherwise I think that kind of stuff is fine.
it's a cool style, though some bits could use improvement, such as placement of the legs to fit anatomy. (that one is good though, pretty nice handle on it)

though, i think the legs on the gabite (i think) are not right. their anatomy might make that pose impossible ;0;
and i think the feet should be bigger. the feet might make the whole pokemon unable to walk haha.
