Eona looked up at him, moving so he could sit down on the couch. "Did I do something wrong? Am I...I don't know...annoying you guys?"

Damon wanted to give them a chance to try to work it out before he came in and they seemed like they were under attack.

She smiled as he ruffled her hair. "I feel like I keep doing stuff that makes you uncomfortable. I'm trying to stop so that you don't feel pressured or anything. Just treat me like you want to be treated. I like it when you remember stuff I've said. I am happy when you do small stuff like ruffle my hair or laugh."

Lucy yawned, stretched, then sniffed the air " Tacos! " she all but shrieked from the bedroom. Barreling from the bedroom to the kitchen like a whirling dervish.

"I think so...at least, I think we understand stuff better," she said. "Do you mind if I put my head on your shoulder?"

Damon blinked as she ran past. Laughing, he shook his head and turned to follow her. "Hey," he said, walking into the kitchen and wrapping his arms around her from behind. "Have a good nap?"

"Well, it'll help me feel better and I like doing it. Makes me feel safe and happy," she told him, leaning her head against his shoulder. "So, the tacos were really good. I think I'll be able to make them on my own now, too. If I want to."

"Good. I'm gonna go check on Ash and Eona. Things got strained," he told her.

"I think they are going to be okay. Ash told us about an actual father figure that Viktor has held captive. So we've got a rescue mission now, too," Damon told her. "I'm glad he had someone."
