The spider had already left, and therefore didn't get hit. The venom was already in Mark.

Kit wakes up to the sound of a gun shot, although it was far away she decided to head back to the building she was in earlier. She grabs her gear, mounts her horse and makes her way silently back to the building. She hears noises from the pod chamber, she gets off her horse, drawing her pistol and heading into the pod chambers to investigate the noises.

Ari heard the horses feet clacking on the hot dry ground, and scaled the brick wall. She reached the roof and climbed onto a beam. She lied on the beam, hard to be seen from below. She got a splinter on her finger and took it out with her teeth.

Ari stayed on the beam. Her spider hid uner a dusty table. Ari was suddenly worried. Whenever someone said spider, she knew it had to be Hourglass. She stayed quiet, rufusing the urge to warn Hourglass. Her spider could take care of this and they would hear her warning her.

"I'm just being careful... I don't know who you are and what your motives are..." Kit adjusts her grip on her pistol still aiming at Mark. She starts backing up along the wall trying to make her way to the exit while keeping her back against something. As she makes her way along she nearly bumps into a table.
