Kikki looked back at Nao, and grinned. "You can keep it, that came
from my Pay Day attack, I can always get more," she said, using the
move and collecting some money. "I'm Kikki by the way, see ya!" She
leapt up part of the building and continued til she was at the top.
"Really? I am so happy that it was good!" Ryu exclaimed excitedly.
He never got praise like this from audience members, with the
exception of Rythim, who he spoke to about the performances after
every Contest.
"Oh." Ryu said, feeling sorry for her; he had been coming to watch
Pokémon Contests since he was four or five, and he couldn't imagine
not being able to watch them. "If you don't mind my asking... why?"
Mabell blinked, shuffling her feet. "My brother, Hahns, doesn't let
me." She looked up at them. "He, uhm, says that they make gijinkas,
uh, look bad," she blushed as she said this.
"Pokeball dude, Right? Jeeze, being a gijinka and makin pokeballs
of all things makes Gijinkas look bad." Bane stated, giving a blank
look. "'sides your both Legendary gijinkas do whatever you want"
Mabell sighed. She suddenly had that terrible memory of the day
their father expiremented on them. She shoved the thought out of
her mind. "We didn't want to be like this!" Mabell exclaimed
angrily.
"I think that it would be better to attempt to persuade him to let
you than directly disobey him. For example, why not make the
argument that humans dance and put on shows in theaters?"
Mabell smiled at both them, even though she was slightly annoyed at
the 'pinky' comment. She felt lucky that Hahns had already been in
his industry before becomeing a gijinka. "You're right, Ryu! Well,
I should probably go now, Hahns is waiting for me. Maybe I'll see
you around town?"
