Mira accepted the balloons and tied them to the tables and branches. "Ah, perfect. You guys all did awesome work, so thank you. I ordered a bunch of different pokepuffs, so help yourselves," She offered, motioning to the table. Tira grinned and picked a chocolate one for herself.

Toka took a chocolate one as well and smiled at Kibo as she ate it. Tira looked at Conkeldurr, who hadn't grabbed one. "Not hungry?"

"Just not partial to sugar," Conkeldurr shrugged nonchalantly.

Kibo smiled at Toka and ate his pokepuff happily. "Do you want an Oran berry?" Setchi asked Conkeldurr kindly.

Charm landed in the clearing and Tiger jumped to the ground. Tiger yawned and rubbed his eyes.

”Where are you going?” Connor asked, watching the girl throw things around frantically. “You look like you’re in a rush.”

“Yeah, uh..—“ Mel was cut off by Aki bursting through the doorframe, green eyes wide and startled. “Sorry. It’s nothing. What’s up?”

“Mira’s hatching a party for Tiger. Are you.. Are you going?”

“Maybe later.”

Connor frowned. “Why not come with me?”

“Because I’m a mess.” The girl responded simply. And she wasn’t wrong. Both mentally and physically, she was a mess. Her hair was sticking up in different directions, almost like a startled Skitty. And her blue eyes were blown wide and panicked. “Maybe later.”

He accepted her answer and moved on.

“Happy birthday, Tiger.” Connor called over with a small wave and smile, looking up from where he’d been building a castle out of rocks.
