"Hold onto that bomb, I might have an idea for that later! Jump
onto my back!" He slowed down, hoping Tiger could make the mount.
"I can thank my Uncle for the training I received."
Mira was out cold. If you really looked at the suit, you could see
that the part hit by the laser--the middle of it, around her
stomach--was sparking quite a bit.
The helicopter kept hovering, putting a spotlight on the four.
Someone stuck their head out and waved to them.
Tiger growled and looked over to Mira he felt awful for what
happened to Mira. "Looks like the helicopter is for us" he said
lowly and noted how someone was waving to them.
Sorrow removed Mira from his arms, laying her on the ground, he
looked at Mira's wounds, "Great, mechanical engineer stuff." He
looked at the chopper, and pointed at himself, in a questioning
manner. "Us?"
"Thank God..." He picked up Mira and climed the ladder. "So, what's
going on here? My friend needs help, she was shot by some mad
scientist and she's out cold."
The inside of the helicopter was surprisingly roomy. Men and women
dressed in black and purple jumpsuits surrounded them. "Don't be
alarmed," A woman with blue hair and a slightly different uniform
said, taking a look at Mira. "Doctor Wily... We can't do anything
here, but back at base we can fix the suit and help her."
"What exactly happened down there, at the academy?" Another man
asked, checking Sorrow for any wounds.
"Well some of the villains who killed our predecessors attacked
us....they were looking for something" Tiger said blandly, and held
his shoulder where Ganon managed to get him.
"We got ambushed." He started to count off the top of his head. "7,
maybe more, attacked us, I did what I could. I got grazed on my
shoulder, but, I'm fine. Focus on Mira." His face was serious, he
removed his sunglasses, placing them on his head, "How long until
we hit checkpoint?"
Someone came over and carefully removed Tiger's hand, looking at
the wound carefully. He turned around and got a first aid kit.
Someone else removed the electronic goggles from Mira's face and
put a cold cloth on it.
The woman's eyes widened at the phrase 'looking for something'.
"Pick up the pace," She told the pilot, who nodded nervously,
taking off. "Ten minutes, or less, until the checkpoint. Were there
any more survivors other than you four?"
"....speaking of predecessors....who am I supposed to be....? I
literally just woke up in some place and there was a fight going on
and all of a sudden I wanted to go against these....villains...? I
guess I forgot about something crucial.....I do have a feeling that
the guy who's my predecessor's enemy is a black mage..." Leroy
thought to himself. He may have mumbled a few things, but it wasn't
really important.
"Holly," he answered, "But I sense her skills are equal to mine. I
left a comm device in her coat, she'll find me." Sorrow looked at
Mira, "Is there something you guys know? What do they want? Some
sorta crystal, relic, soul remnants, doom seed perhaps?" He
remembered what his Uncle told him, how the Dragon Clan planted a
seed of some sort inside Regret, they called it the Doom Seed,
fusing Ladon's soul with Regret's. The stronger Regret got, the
quicker Ladon replenished his energy. "Great, we've got another
war."
"That's classified-" One of the soldiers stopped speaking as the
woman raised her hand.
"They deserve to know," She said gently, and looked at the four.
"We'll go back and get her, if necessary. As for what they want...
The port key to an alternative universe, one where not just
villains of their kind reside... All kinds of villains. Ever
heard the legends of Voldemort? Smaug? They all live there."
"But, we got lucky. We switched the port key to a different
location, knowing they found the one at the academy. But, we
weren't able to hide something else in time..." She sighed, looking
at Mira.
"Something else huh?" He groaned, "Perfect." He took off the
leather strap holding his scabbard. "I don't have a sword for this
fight, broke it defending Tiger and Mira against Doc."
