Magdalena looked up at Vera and it took a moment for her smile to show up, but when it did, it beamed. "Thank you, thank you very much Vera."

"You're welcome. Thank you for being so wonderful," Vera told her.

Magda chuckled slightly, very faintly blushing. "Thank you. That means a great deal to me, coming from you."

Vera smiled, lasping into silence. She stayed there in comfortable silence for a while, leaving the young woman to her thoughts.

Andromeda, meanwhile, tossed and turned, crying out in her sleep as nightmares overran her. Her master had come at her, pinning her down after disscovering slaves missing again. His anger and abuse played out in vivid detail while she lay powerless to stop it. Again. But this time, those she had freed were tormenting her as well. She eventually woke screaming her throat hoarse.

Magda was thinking back to her homeland, mostly back to the cold air and the crisp snow. Back to the biting wind and fuzzy warm beds that they made out of furs. Back to the huge bonfires they would make to keep away the snow cats, when she leapt out of her seat when she heard a scream. She knew the voice as Andromeda's, and without hesitation ran off back the way she came, taking the correct few turns to come to her door which she threw open, eyes scanning the room. "Are you alright?" She asked moving into the room, casting a quick glance behind the door for some hidden assailant.

Andromeda was curled up on herself, knees hugged to her chest, her face buried between them and her arms twisted to protect her head while keeping her legs folded. Tightly curled into her ball, she sobbed into the night, a piece of sheet shoved into her mouth to try to muffle her screams. She had to be quite! They would find her and beat her for waking them again! She must have been "lent" out again. She didn't recognize the room. The sheets were nice, so very nice but also warm. The door was thrown open and she couldn't help but jump, landing on her side while a muffled scream of terror escaped her. Hearing Magda's voice yanked her halfway out of the waking nightmare and towards reality. Gasping loudly, she curled tighter, feeling horribly embarrassed and defective over loosing control. Shudders racked her body while she struggled to calm herself. Andromeda peaked out at Magda, whimpering softly. "...M-Magdalena," she stuttered.

Magdalena let out very small sigh as she realized there was no threatening danger, but once Andromeda spoke her name she moved over to kneel beside her, her hands gently placed on her shoulders pulling her up into a warm and firm embrace. "Shh, I'm here, you're alright... There's no one that will hurt you here... It was only a night seeing... You're okay," Her voice was soft and calm. She gently rubbed Andromeda's back hoping to calm her down a bit more. What could this woman possibly have dreamed of to scare her so much? She knew of some old fighters who had to be restrained when they slept, otherwise they'd attack people without knowing what they were doing, but that was from wars and battles of times since passed. Perhaps Andromeda had been through more than she let on.

Andromeda latched onto Magda, seeking comfort and reassurance. "I'm sorry...I...it was..." She shook her head, curling closer and trying to steady her breathing. Shudders racked her body and Andromeda mentally berated herself. Why couldn't she just be normal? Why couodn't she sleep through the night without these terrible nightmares? Now she had done it. The dark skinned woman shook harder as the idea the others would shun her for her weirdness plowed through her mind. "I didn't mean to...I just...forgot," she whispered.

Magda provided the comfort and reassurance without holding back. "What do you mean you're sorry? Night seeings aren't something you can control. I used to have them. They weren't as bad as some, but this one time I had to be captured by my people since I had run off but was still asleep. I almost took off someone's finger when I bit it." She was smiling, hoping the funny story would take away from the sadness and perhaps show Andromeda that bad dreams aren't something that need to be forgiven. Her grip never loosened as she held Andromeda, only planning to let go once the woman wanted to be let go.

Andromeda smiled sadly, reaching up to cup Magda's cheek. "Sounds like it was one crazy dream. I like that you call them night seeings. Much more exciting then dreams. I meant I forgot I wasn't there. I forgot I was safe...did I wake everyone? I didn't meant to...I just...I don't want to be alone. Can I be on watch with you? Please?" She asked softly, relaxing against the bigger woman slightly.

Magda tilted her head subconsciously into Andromeda's hand. "Of course you can be on watch with me. Why should you be sorry that you forgot that you were safe? It's a mistake common among the warriors of my people." She smiled a bit more, glad to see her smiling. "It's nothing to apologize for. Come on, let's get you on your feet." She slowly started to stand, keeping Andromeda in her arms so as to help the woman get up.

Andromeda unfolded herself and stood with Magda, still clutching her shoulders and arms. "Okay...are you sure? It's not...crazy?" She asked softly, focusing on keeping her knees from buckling. "I don't want to be weird and crazy."

Magda's smile hardened into a thin line and her eyes narrowed at Andromeda. "It's not crazy nor is it weird. I have seen enough in my life to be able to adjust to anything that you could do or say that you might think is weird or crazy." Her eyes and smile then returned to how they had been. "And I mean that."

Andromeda nodded, not entirely believing that. But she didn't want to argue and cause a scene. She was still shaken by her nightmare. Picking up a blanket, Andromeda wrapped it around her shoulders, using it like a shield to protect herself from her own unwanted thoughts.

"Everyone okay?" Octavius asked from the doorway, rubbing his eye. "I am a really light sleeper. Trained from years of service. So I heard the scream. Andromeda, you're alright?"

Andromeda shook her head. "No. But Magdelena is making me feel better. I'm sorry I woke you."

Magda waited for Andromeda, and returned her arm around her shoulders as long as she would let her keep it there. She knew that it helped. That simple gesture had helped her. "Thank you for checking Octavius," She smiled, waiting to say goodnight before leading Andromeda off to where she was keeping watch with Vera.

Octavius nodded, yawning before setting off back to Jason. "Night."

Andromeda curled into Magda, grateful the woman was so nice and was willing to help her. "You are a really good person. I hope life treats you well. You deserve good stuff," Andromeda murmured, staying close as she looked ahead of them for any danger.

Magda nodded to Octavius before turning her attention to the woman under her arm. "Thank you, I wish the same for you. You deserve to sleep safely at night without worry." Momentarily they arrived in the front room, and she led Andromeda over to the fire, setting her there before going over to the seat she had been in. She could see better from there, and if Andromeda wanted, she could move a chair over. It was in that moment that she realized that she did find her own sort of comfort in her comforting Andromeda. She couldn't put her finger on it just yet, but she'd be thinking about it.

Andromeda did just that, getting up and carefully moving the chair closer to Magda before snuggling up under tbe blanket. She kept watch, looking for anything that might attack. If she wasn't still shaken, she would have been blushing at how often she looked back to Magda.

Vera had given the girls some alone time, going to fetch herself a drink.

Magda smiled slightly, almost proud that she had anticipated what Andromeda would do, but it fell slightly as she turned to look back out the window. She had noticed each time that Andromeda had looked at her, and for some reason still unknown to her, she blushed. Albeit faintly. Why? Why had she blushed?

Andromeda sighed, gazing into the fireplace. She had calmed down and was feeling much better. Now to not make her friend uncomfortable. She couldn't place why she felt that way. But if Andromeda had to guess, it was for the same reason that she had been compelled to find her.
