“I still think we should see Moon.” Shine protested. “She might know something.”
Aurora nodded. “I agree.”
“Who’s talking about me?” A NightWing stepped out of the shadows. Teardrop scales shone at her eyes. *Finally, I can ask her!*

“Ask me what?” Moon asked, her eyes shining with interest. She obviously read the answer in Aurora’s mind and she nodded.
“I might not have come up with the Prophecy, but I know something about the ‘weapon’ you’re supposed to find,”

(I meant for it to be Protector but I’ll just do it now :S )
Protector flew home, with an ominous feeling that something was wrong. He entered his cabin and stared in shocked horror at the scene before him. His mother, Saviour, lay mutilated in a pool of blood, dead. He rushed outside and roared, “MY MOTHER IS DEAD!!!”

Aurora heard another roar, this time from the NightWing village. She faintly heard the words, “is dead!”
“Someone has been found dead.” she relayed back to the surrounding dragons, “Unrelated to that other dragon... I think.”
Shine gasped.
(Btw I’ve started the cover for Forbidden ( a fanfic I’m making based on this), check it out on Scratch! I’m called Skadi800 (the same as here) so it should be easy to find. Tell me what you think of it either in the comments or in this forum. Thanks for giving me so many interesting dragons to draw! Don’t forget to let me know it your dragon turned out wrong in some way- remember this is only the draft.)

Shine thought about this before adding, “Good idea- but we might as well check with Moon- I think she’s visiting Secretkeeper if she hasn’t left already.”

Shadowslayer bowed before the SandWing Queen.

Aurora’s ears pricked up. She heard the sound of a dragon’s hyperventilating as they flew in the direction of the Queen’s Pavilion. “Something’s happening,” she warned.

“We need to know who the crazy NightWing who made this prophecy was. Then we can all go yell at him.” Shine said, and Aurora turned to see her sitting up wearily. But instead of crying in relief, she nodded solemnly. “Things are going to change from now on. We’ve already met the hybrid Queen Thorn has employed to hunt us down, and we have no idea if he wants to kill us or capture us. I’ve heard that all of the Queens except Queen Glory have captured some of their hybrid citizens, so we need to be on guard.”

Having left Lyrebird with Shine, Aurora followed Brimstone to the injured Pine. She gasped when she saw the damage Doomhunter had done. “How dare he!”
Then, she helped Brimstone to carry Pine back to the RainWing village and to the Healers’ hut. When they were all inside, Aurora asked the healers and Lyrebird to leave. The hybrids needed to talk.
“This is all because of some stupid prophecy!”

Shadowslayer followed Doomhunter, heart thumping in anticipation of an assignment. Her head was bursting with possible ways to catch hybrids. “What about traps? Have you tried them? I’m good at them- I’ve caught so many birds and lizards!” Then a shocking thought struck her. “Have you heard that story about the SandWing/SilkWing hybrid? Apparently she catches dragons in her webs and EATS them...”

Shadowslayer landed next to Doomhunter. She had decided what to say. “I was wondering...”

Aurora looked up from Shine to stare at Brimstone. “What happened?” She asked. Lyrebird, the sisters’ RainWing mother, rushed in.
“MY DRAGONET!!!” She sobbed. Lyrebird had been alerted of the attack as soon as possible.

“So I want to join you and get my revenge on all the hybrids.” Shadowslayer finished, having told Doomhunter her story. She watched hopefully as he considered this.

“STOP!” Shadowslayer yelled. She stood in between the bristling dragons. “Leave this dragon alone. He won’t hurt you anymore.” She exchanged a significant look with him. “I’m Shadowslayer,” she hissed under her breath, making sure the hybrid didn’t hear. “Meet me in the Scorpion Den.” She turned away from him and faced the hybrid. “Don’t tell ANYONE about this. Say he fought you off somehow. Make it up.” Then she flew away from the confused hybrid, and she only realised she had forgotten to wash her talons after she left the Rainforest. (Now I gotta go bye)

The guard rushed towards Shadowslayer’s position. “HEEELLLPPP!!!” she called one last time, before plunging into the undergrowth beside her. Just in time, because the guard came rushing past in search of a dragon in danger. Once the sound of the hybrid’s stomping had faded away considerably, she ran out to the captive. “Sshhhh...” she hissed, “I’m here to help you.” She began to cut his bindings with her extremely sharp claws, making light work of them.

As Shadowslayer made her way to the river, she noticed movement in the trees. Walking closer, she spotted a group of hybrids. An IceWing/RainWing hybrid was holding down a NightWing/SandWing hybrid. More hybrids surrounded them, and one lay, unmoving, on the ground. “I’ll get you!” the captive roared as a blindfold was placed over his eyes. “When I get free you won’t be safe!”

The IceWing hybrid then walked over to the seemingly dead dragon and picked her up with the help of a yellowish looking RainWing. They began to have a conversation as they walked slowly away from Shadowslayer. A strangely green IceWingish dragon stood guard over the NightWing/SandWing.

When Shadowslayer was sure the IceWing hybrid and yellow RainWing wouldn’t hear her, she roared, “HELP!!! I’M HURT!!!”
She wanted the guard to be tricked into going to ‘save’ someone. After all, the NightWing was tied down AND blinded!
