"I only ever said that I have a second soul inside my body, I have yet to state if the soul is even active, if it has a name, if it has a gender, or any other personal information about this soul. You just said your little lie detector ignores small details so since these are small details it'll skim right over these. So why assume the extra soul is a he? I'm female last I checked, so wouldn't it be natural for my other soul to be female as well? Or are you just sexist?" Shayla asked, not really trying to provoke a fight but really just tired of being prodded about Madder's prescience when it was obvious she didn't want to talk about him anymore, after all she had only just met them, would any normal person want to reveal all their secrets right off if they had just met and then were attacked? Shayla was only doing so because of her hurt pride over being called a liar when these people simply didn't have the brain power to expand their vocabulary.

'Howl needs to stop being such an insolent fool or else Madder will rip out his vocal cords so Madder doesn't have to hear him talk in the third person anymore,' Madder grumbled to himself. "But I'm not lying, there is no other person." Shayla shook her head. "Honestly, you people are so stubborn." She looked over at Madder and the man shrugged. 'We've got no choice. Just don't say much.' "If there were another person here you'd be able to sense them. What you smelled was the second soul that resides within my body," Shayla said simply. "It's not a person, it's a soul."

Shayla pulled her suitcase from the back of her car and placed it on the ground next to Casey's. The two siblings looked at each other for a moment before grinning, ready to get this vacation started! Ever since Shayla had moved away from home she and Casey hadn't been able to spend much time together. This was the first time the two of them had spent some sibling time together in ages!

Shayla jumped at the question. She took a step back and started to answer when Madder held up a hand and shook his head. Shayla sighed, crossed her arms, and shrugged. "I don't know, you tell me. Since you seem to be the only person here who thinks there are two people here when clearly there is only one."

Shayla listened quietly, thinking back to when Madder had first been tied to her body. It had been a process that Shayla never wished to be put through again, but it had been necessary at the time. Still, when she and Madder were first learning to cope with each other, it had been hard on both of them. It was only through both of them coming to accept one another that they were able to change and grow. From what it sounded like, Ricky and Leonidas had not reached that level ground yet. "Are you sure it's actually what he wanted?" Shayla asked quietly.

Shayla froze up as Leonidas lifted her. Madder was about to take shape when suddenly a fox tackled Leonidas. Shayla began to struggle a bit, determined to wriggle free if she had to. "Let me go!" she screeched, her voice cracking a little in indication of her fear.

Shayla followed close behind Howl, dashing into the garden. It was very beautiful here but she didn't have time to enjoy it now. "Please!" she called. Shayla felt a chill trace down her spine and looked over her shoulder to see her shadow in the shape of Madder. He was waiting to see if this girl could calm Ricky down, but if not, he was ready to take things into his own hands.

'Now might be a good time to start singing!' Madder shouted into Shayla's thoughts. "Don't have to tell me twice," Shayla muttered. Shayla cleared her throat and began to sing, "Silent night, holy night, all is calm, all is bright." Shayla put everything she had into the calming effect her voice had, trying to see if it would do anything against Ricky.

If you really want me to give you the answer you want you're going to have to stop yelling and ask the correct question because unless I get it I'm not giving the answer you want." Shayla leaned up against a wall. "I'm not as stupid as you seem to believe I am. I know my way around an interrogation block so if you think you're getting any out of me before we've known one another five minutes you've got another thing coming."
