The words echoed in her ear, but they were hollow, meaningless. No doubt he meant them to sting. Maybe they would've... but... "If I cared about your opinion, maybe I'd give you a treat for that little trick, puppy," she sneered. "But you'll have to do better than that." Turning on her heel, she left, but not before ripping off his sweater and throwing it to the ground. It hit the mud, stirred up red track dirt that would no doubt leave the pretty white sweater with a permanent stain. Good. She hated prissy things. And then she went home. The rain was coming down heavy now, but her pride, burning deep inside her gut kept her going. Her anger. This wouldn't end with a little of his pocket change. No, the door thing was just the start of it. She was going to ruin his life. For looking down on her. For looking at her with those judging eyes. For pretending to like her. [Read more] |

Persephone laughed slightly. "Oh, so it's me then? And who'll believe that little tale?" She tilted her head to the side. "My record's clean. I come from a decent family. How's yours, Jerry boy?" Her smile was mean, cold. Controlled as she should always be. This was the way people were meant to treat her. With fear. And though this kid hid it under an impressive veneer, beneath that calm, no doubt a storm was rising. My storm. "I can ruin your life, and you'll thank me for the favour." The words echoed in her mind. Somebody told her that once. Not Vivienne, though it seemed like something she'd say. Somebody else. Somebody who taught her the way things really were in this world. Dog-eat-dog, and she was no mutt to die on the streets. [Read more] |

"Oh, so there is something going on in that pretty little head of yours," she sniped back. "I'm amazed you have time to run cost calculations while... you're going around tearing off doors." The idea slowly dawned on her, and she found herself genuinely excited for the first time that night. Giving him a cold smile, Persephone pointed at the spot where the one gym camera had been... knocked off earlier today by one of those idiot jock boys. "I'm afraid I couldn't really stop you. You were too strong and angry about being locked inside..." she tsked. "Oh well. All's well that ends well, huh? I'm sure your family will be able to pick up the costs for this one little door, right?" [Read more] |

The clock over the court ticked to midnight, and Persephone found her hands curling up into fists by her side, cold anger soaring anew. "Sulking?" she echoed. "Is that what you call it?" He looked down on her. Take this sweater, take some water, stop SULKING... The whole thing just made her sick. He pretended to be kind, just so he could make himself look better. Maybe he thought he was good, but she saw through that. She knew that deep inside, he was just as screwed up as the rest. Treating her like a little kid who just didn't know better. Sulking. Oh, screw it all. She was done with this bull. She should've been done hours before. Where the hell had her O'Couna pride been in all this? With all her strength she gave a yank and tore the door right off the hinges. [Read more] |

Also, the answer is no. I can and will fight anyone who has a different (wrong) opinion. Why would you put fruit on your roasted garlicy goodness??? Way too sweet, pineapple is for dessert after. [Read more] |

The gym was even colder than the closet, somehow. Shouldn't it be warmer? In the day, it was usually so sweaty that she imagined hell was probably colder, or at least less humid. She tested the eastern exit, that went out onto the football court. The door was weak, ceding under her touch. She could probably break it... but the legal fees, the property damage... That'd be a lot of money. Was her potentially freezing to death worth it? [Read more] |

Miyako Hiroto"Prom?" Miyako raised an eyebrow. "You'd know better than me, darling. All I know comes from the announcement system. So... after dinner, I guess?" She laughed self-consciously. "I should really pay better attention... I guess I've just been kind of stressed lately, you know? Ghosts of the past coming back and all that... Literal and figurative." Why was he here? Why couldn't it have been anyone else? The two left the room, heading for the dining hall... where fifteen minutes from now, it would finally hit the fan. [Read more] |

Persephone was pretty sure she was gonna die here, but at least she'd go with some dignity. Huffing, she pulled the sweater tighter around her, eyeballing the window. Who thought it was a good idea to reinforce glass... and then conveniently forget to insulate the walls? There were some serious design flaws here. She'd have to find whichever idiot engineer botched this job and send them all the way to engineer hell. (Normal hell. All engineers went there, so they just made up most of the population.) Oh, Persephone. A gentle laugh rang in her ears. She jumped. For a second... she thought she heard Vivienne's voice. Was that a symptom of hypothermia? Hallucinations? Or am I just going crazy? Well, she was sitting in a closet at midnight, fantasizing about her dead sister, so that probably would've landed her someplace if she brought it up to a professional. "Get up and moving," she muttered to herself, forcing her feet to move under her. She staggered up. "There's gotta be a way out." And if she found an exit... she could hold that over that guy, couldn't she? [Read more] |

Miyako Hiroto"Would you rather fight one dino sized (sentient) nuggie or 10 nuggie sized dinos?" "Ooh, that's a tough one. Because with the dino sized nuggie, after you beat it you get a lot of nuggie, right? But then it'll also be all chicken in the middle when you do the wriggle, and if it was cooked the way my brother cooks them, then it'll be all wet and gooey and nasty in the centre. But with the nuggie sized dinos, they're adorable, they make great pets, and you can eat a couple and finally know what dinosaur meat tastes like." Miyako tapped a finger to her chin thoughtfully. "Mm... I guess I'll have to go with the dino sized nuggie. I've always wanted to that cartoon trope of eating your way through your edible enemies." Anyway, conondrum resolved! "Wanna go ruin some lives, babe?" she grinned. [Read more] |

Miyako HirotoMiyako flashed a grin. "Agree to disagree, hm?" She ran her eyes over Shi's body, a long and drawn out onceover. Then she met Shi's eyes. "I can't get over how pretty you are. Why'd you ever want me?" Ah... spiking the punch, huh? "Truly an activity for only the bravest of souls in a school filled to the brim with trigger happy ultimates and their intensive anger issues. Though not one without its rewards." She laughed. "And you're good, Shi-Shi. My language skills are festering at a fifth grade level. Just don't let me catch you again, or I'll have to make fun of you~" A drunk Kubo would truly be a sight to behold. Perhaps she'd get to add another one of her... "gifts" to his face? And add the whole shebang... Akari, Sawyer, Saeko... delicious. A whole class with suspicious tube like (+2 circles) shapes on their face. A work of art. Her girlfriend was a genius. Resisting the urge to throw her arms around Shi and spend the next hour cuddling, Miyako stood up, going over to the door, running her fingers through her hair. The benefits of short hair. No brushes necessary. "Dinner, huh? Think we can get away with more dino nuggies?" [Read more] |

Kubo Atsushi"Is that even a question? Hell yeah, I would. This is like the first decent thing you've said all game, Kubo. That's actually a decent idea, for once. Mayyyybeee I won't hate you." "Won't hate me?" Kubo rolled his eyes. "I think we're a little past that point, Idris. But I appreciate the sentiment, even if my all-knowing detective's intuition suspects there's a little taste of classic Idris sarcasm in there." Still though, he was smiling. What did it say about him, that he appreciated Idris's sense of humour, even at his own expense? Nothing good, certainly. Masochism, perhaps? Idris leapt out of bed, and for a second Kubo thought he was about to die. His hand automatically went to his pen knife, but he forced it to relax, and retreat from his leather jacket. Idiot. It was fine. He needed to stop freaking out about every single little movement, before he drove himself insane. "Listen, with your Sherlock Holmes-ness and my strength 'n good looks, I think we'd be a great pair. I've seen every crime drama known to mankind. This mastermind ain't gonna know what hit 'em." Kubo tilted his head to the side, unable to help the little smile playing on his lips. "Alrighty then, partners it is. We'll take down the mastermind together." He paused for a second. "We can meet up in the infirmary after dinner, alright? I'll work to disable the cameras while everyone's busy eating, and then we can put together our plan after." He had the brewings of one already, but it all relied on Idris. If he was lying, just playing along... Then it was all over. That person would win. And Lucian would die. He couldn't let that happen. So he hoped, he prayed to whatever god out there, that Idris hated the Killing Game more than he hated Kubo Atsushi. That revenge was enough of a promise to outweigh the anger, the difficulties, and above all the insurmountable grief that lined every one of Idris's words. And if it came to that.. he still had one card to offer Idris, for after their escape. It wouldn't make a difference anyway. This was what he planned the whole time. Whether it was himself or Idris changed nothing. Kubo was fine with dying for any one of his mistakes. Hellfire could cleanse the rest. "Infirmary sound alright? Or would you prefer somewhere else?" he asked. [Read more] |

It was getting colder in the room, but Persephone knew that anger was all she needed to keep her warm. The fire in her belly was soaring higher and higher and a girl's image was in the corner of her mind'e eye. Vivienne. She'd done this somehow. Persephone would kill her. Standing up, she shook out her hands. Somehow they'd gone numb. Was September supposed to be this cold? [Read more] |
