"...No. YOU'RE COMING! You disgraced everyone's honor!" Sawyer exclaimed overdramatically, as though they were a knight in a video game or something. They grabbed Mei and attempted to drag them to the gym. "Darcy, help me out here!"
Darcy glanced over at Mei and then back at Sawyer, pretending not to hear them.
"DARCY!"
Oh. It seemed Idris and Saeko were leaving.
"Oookay! See you guys!"
Darcy sighed and reluctantly came to help Sawyer. "THANK YOU!"
"...why am I doing this. I hope you're not doing what I think you're doing, Soy Sauce."
A spark occurred in Sawyer's eye. "I don't know, what do you think I'm doing, Darth Vader?"
"Stop."
"Okay, let's just get Mei to the gym. WE ARE DOING THIS CHALLENGE!"

Darcy Harper's POV


"O-Oh! Uh, right. A joke." Darcy crossed her arms and her face went red. Wh-what the- Oh, right... She remembered Mei's earlier comment. The same kind of teasing.

...she wasn't so sure she wanted to express any sort of opinion at the moment. Darcy went silent, kicking slightly at the floor.

She turned to Saeko with a shrug. No idea, she mouthed back.

Sawyer Laurens's POV


But Sawyer wasn't backing down easily. "YOU insult everyone here now? How dare you!" They seethed angrily. "I- I challenge you... to a hecking... CHALLENGE! Heck, I said that twice." Sawyer facepalmed. "IN THE GYM!"

Darcy Harper's POV


Darcy raised her eyebrows. Uh oh. When Sawyer challenged somebody to something, it was never good. "Th-they didn't- mean that," she stammered, strangely nervous. "Can it, Darcy," Sawyer responded. "May-May here just insulted everyone!"

Oh. Oh boy.

Lucian was having nightmares. Nightmares about Sawyer starting arguments with people.

"HEY! That's not very nice!" Sawyer snapped. "ID-ris over here is no loser, he's my friend, and he's cool!" they declared, sweeping an arm in front of him. "Mei, there's no reason to be so mean! I hope you were joking!"

Darcy rolled her eyes about something. "Mei, there's no need to call someone a loser for no reason."

Oh, wait. I know what that's about. She's upset that she agrees with me. Typical Darcy moment, Sawyer thought.

Darcy Harper's POV


I can't believe I actually agree with them. Darcy decided to pursue the other subject.
"Oh, of course!! I like those kinds of foods too! Any in particular you really like?" she asked.

Lucian Arbred's POV


Lucian wondered where his dormmate was. Wasn't he supposed to have one of those?...

Hopefully his friends were doing okay. ...would a murder happen right now? He sat up uneasily. He couldn't be everywhere in the school at once...

Mei seemed uncomfortable about something. She turned to look at Idris. "Oh, that's a shame! What do you like then? That's okay!" She turned to look at Saeko, and shook their hand. "Pleasure to meet you! It definitely is! Would you like me to make you some sometime?"

Don't say anything, Darcy. Don't say anything.

Sawyer Laurens's POV


"Hey, Mei, my good friend, you okay?" Sawyer asked. They frowned. "You look unsettled about something!"
Does it have to do with... her? No surprise there.

Lucian Arbred's POV


Lucian headed back to his dorm with a sigh. He felt so tired, for some reason. He wasn't even sure what time it was. He wanted to head back and relax for a while...

This was all a little overwhelming. He wasn't sure if it was better or worse than...

Lucian Arbred's POV


Lucian sighed and headed to the library. He took a book from there, a good, medium-sized book. He didn't intend on reading it, however. His chest heaved... this was for the sake of self-defense. Not deadly enough to hurt anyone seriously, but, in case he needed to defend himself, or someone else...

The fretful face of Kaoru flashed in his mind. A grinning Sawyer, rapidly waving their hands. A chirping Saeko and a grumpy Idris. The other two, who he barely knew, and yet... he couldn't let any of these people die. Or anyone else here die.

It'll be okay. Hopefully.

He couldn't be everywhere at once... and unfortunately, unbeknownst to him, although Lucian had a bad feeling...

He wasn't able to halt the tragedy that would occur.

Darcy Harper's POV


"Oh, new people! Hello! Um, nice talent, Saeko," Darcy commented, joking. "Mei and Saeko! Cool to meet you both! And Idris? Sure is crowded in here!" A smile formed upon Darcy's face. "I'm Darcy Harper! The Ultimate Chocolatier! If you'd ever like any chocolate, feel free to ask me for some!"

Idris, if that's his name, sure looks miserable. He could sure use some chocolate!

"If you didn't know, it tastes just like falling in love!"

Sawyer muttered something under their breath, and then stopped. "Hey, Saeko, Idris!! Great to see you two again! How have you been? See anything interesting?"

I'M trying to talk to them, Know-It-All Kid. Darcy's eyes narrowed. Great. Couldn't even stay in the same room for eight seconds...

I don't trust her. I don't trust her at all... Lucian narrowed his eyes, and then unnarrowed them with a sigh. One thing was for sure, he had to be careful. Someone might die. He had to prevent that from happening...

Slowly and quietly, he headed off to the library.

Sawyer Laurens's POV


Oh, it's the friends from earlier! "Hiii, Mei! Hey, Saeko! Nice to see you!" They waved.
"You sure know a lot of people," Darcy half-muttered. "I see you haven't changed."
"Not at all!" Sawyer chirped. "...aaand neither have you."
Darcy laughed. "Sooo, hi! You're Saeko and Mei, I heard? Who is who?" Darcy raised her eyebrows.

Oh, boy. Why, oh, why, are we stuck in the same room together? Sawyer, please leave.
But unfortunately, that probably wouldn't happen...

Oh, gooooosh. This is so awkward.

Old DH is in here, and Kaoru's here so I have to try not to act all bitter- uuuughhh, this is like eating uncooked baking chocolate!

"...it's dangerous." He glared at Mei. "So DON'T do it." Just look at her face. What the hell is she thinking about? I swear, if it's anything murderous...

"...try anything, and I'll kill you myself." He wasn't entirely sure if he meant it. But he hoped she got the message. There was a shadowy look in his eyes. So much for not revealing much.

Killing someone... no, definitely not. But I'm not above decking her.

How civil, a mocking voice in his head said. How very civil, Luke.

Oh, god, why was he suddenly getting flashbacks? It was almost like this was a roleplay and he was getting character development. Nah, that'd be weird.

Oh, god, why.
In a way, Mika was right. But was he seriously willing to risk someone dying just so they all could leave? Seriously?
"Okayyyy! See you later!" Sawyer chirped. "What a nice guy. And what a funny joke about actually killing people, am I right? Of course that wouldn't happen!"
Lucian groaned. "...a joke?"
Sawyer blinked. "You mean he wasn't joking?"
Lucian nodded with a frown.
"Oh. Well, this isn't real anyway!"
When will they actually realize THIS IS SERIOUS?!
It was getting so frustrating at this point!!

He turned to Kaoru with a look that said, "We need to stop him."

Sawyer Laurens's POV


Sawyer was intrigued at this mention of a bomb. They also headed to the Nurse's Office before Lucian could scream at them not to!

"Hey, whatcha looking for?! Ooh, other humans are in here! Hiii-"

Sawyer stopped. Oh. Oh no.

Darcy Harper's POV


"Ooh, pretty things? Like gems? I have some fake gems in my bag, I think! Would you like to see th-"
Sawyer.
She'd recognize that obnoxious voice anywhere.
And they were intruding on what would be a perfect moment!
Play it cool, play it cool.
"Ohhhh, hi, Sawyer. How have you been settling into this school?"
"Pretty well, actually!" Sawyer chirped cheerily, but their eyes were narrowed and their arms (both the casted one and the free one) were crossed. "What about you?"
Wow. This is awkward.
"Soo, uh. Killing Game, huh? Wonder how this is gonna go down." Darcy coughed. "I mean, there's noooo way anyone would actually kill each other. Am I right?"
"Yeah, definitely not!" Sawyer laughed. "Why would anyone do that?"
This doofus thinks it's all a dream, don't they? God, someone wake them up.
"Um, Sutaraitsu and I were just having a conversation," she told them, taking his arm, hoping they'd take a hint. They usually didn't.
"Oh, really? What about?" Sawyer chirped.
Darcy facepalmed. Nope. As expected.

"No, THEY WILL," Lucian snapped, having an uncharacteristic amount of lines.
“Wha? Whatcha mean, Lucian?”
“...I regret everything.”
“No bombs?” Sawyer asked with a sad squiggly frown and puppy eyes.
“...no. Bombs.” Lucian glared at them.
“Goooot it. No bombs.” I’ll just do it when he’s not looking!

Lucian Arbred’s POV


Lucian was with Kaoru on this one. Why, oh, why, did he even propose bombs in the first place? It was such a reckless plan! There were countless other things that could be tried!
He wasn’t so sure about the mischievous smile on Sawyer’s face. He sighed and glanced at Kaoru. “...sorry.”
Someone might wind up dead because of me… we need to stop it from happening.

Please, I beg of you. Think for one second before you act, Lucian thought, resisting the urge to facepalm again. Sawyer, always so willing to trust anyone who happened to come by. It was almost ridiculous.
