Thank goodness Mei conveniently had god-like reflexed and managed to get away with minor cuts. They still hit her though, and all the blows were visible... Aww man, that was her favorite jacket! "Seriously? Silver, again?" Her disappointed, confused look hung as she backed away for a moment, only retaliating a bit later. Mei epically pulled a "nothing personal, kid" in awesome anime fashion and grabbed Mika's knife-wielding arm before he had a chance to back away. She yoinked the knife out of his hands, pinned him against the nearest wall with the side of her forearm, then shoved the knife point to his neck as she gripped his shirt firmly. "I respect the effort, Mika, but at least know your opponent before you pull a move like that, m'kay? That overconfidence could getcha killed, y'know, it ain't worth it if you're not even good enough to do it." She tilted her head to the side and smiled, then used the hand she was pinning him down to retrieve the device. She managed to do that before he squirmed his way free, but she had an idea... "Y'know what? There's something else I want from you~" She chuckled, then backed away from Mika, still holding on to his shirt. To make him even more miserable, she grabbed the conveniently placed notebook on the bed and stuffed it under her free arm, putting the knife away in the universal knife holder known as "the inside part of a jacket pocket". She completely ignored the apparent ghost now in the room, not giving a single thought to the... weird thing they said. Mei would leave that stuff to Miyako, she was a ghostbuster, right? Maybe they knew what to do about this... Mei decided to drag him along, out the door and headed the cafeteria. That didn't take as long as she thought, the entire group was still there... "Hehe. I'm back! Guess "business" didn't take as long as I thought!" "Oh yeah, cute little Mika here is comin' along too! Yaaaayy, we got a whole squad now!" She pulled Mika closer and ruffled his hair, the classic "dad" move, wrapping her arm over his shoulders tightly. She wasn't going to let him go, no matter what. [Read more] |

-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- She backed away instantly, overjoyed to hear Mika complying. That was... Surprising. For such a seemingly cold and jerk-ish dude, he was easy to scare. That was interesting... She'd keep that in mind. She grinned and started to rock back and forth on her heels, waiting for them. The usually lavender eyes returned to normal after she closed her eyes to do that iconic, devious grin. She couldn't help but to think about earlier though, that hug with Darcy. She usually hated hugs, it made her skin crawl and her body too warm because of the contact. Besides, who knows how dirty people were... But that hug... It felt... Fine, weirdly enough. Mei didn't hate it, in fact... It felt normal. For once, she felt normal. For a moment, she didn't have to put on an act, she didn't force herself to think a certain way, and she was just like she was 10 years ago. Not a single thought in her mind. [Read more] |

She stepped forwards, her hand crawling out from behind her back, slowly making its way to Mika's throat. Her pointer finger jabbed the skin right in front of the weakest part, dead center, and she stepped forward again, getting all up in his face. "Wouldn't it be a shame if I was here to ruin it? Now..." "Hand it over, and there won't be any trouble..." "And if you don't..." "Horita's blood won't be the only one spilled today." Her eyes were mad, the light purple eyes now looked like a deep abyss. The large, unsettling and menacing grin didn't help either. See? She was still the same old Mei, she hadn't changed a bit... "Oooh, hellooooo Darcy! I missed you soooo much!" She went in for a hug, even though she wasn't a fan of that whole thing. Mei wasn't all that excited about the group being larger, but... It was Darcy, her favorite chocolatier, the best in the world! How could she be mad? Hmmm... Hopefully she could get more of her amazing chocolates before- Before... Mei shook the thought away, still able to maintain her childish and giddy personality. She watched as that therapist comforted Darcy, apparently there was a mirror incident and... Wait, what did the girl say? Hey... What the hell? Did she really just... There was no way she made the same joke as Mei, right? Only she was allowed to make insensitive jokes, not Darcy! Mei was Mei, she was supposed to be that way. Darcy on the other hand... Darcy wasn't like that! And she said it to someone who seemed so close! A sick feeling dropped to Mei's stomach, but they didn't change their expression at all. She would've applauded Darcy on the joke, but she really didn't feel like it, it wasn't the time after all. Was she getting soft...? No... There was a time and a place for everything, even she knew that. She had held back from making jokes in the past, this time was no different. She allowed a moment to pass before she gave a response to Lucian. "Hmm..." "I've got some business to do, meet me in the cafeteria! Hehe, have fun~" A giggle, once again, a large smile and eyes to match, all shown to the group in a totally innocent way. And without a single second to stop her, she waved goodbye and walked over to Mika's dorm, not looking over her shoulder once. Totally didn't look like she was gonna commit a murder or anything. With three loud knocks, she knocked on the Ultimate Weapon Specialist's door, then hid her hands behind her back and started swaying. [Read more] |

-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Mei understood all of the curses Idris had randomly thrown out, completely ignoring the now currently possessed Kubo. Mei had a history with traveling, and she used to read a lot before... Let's just say that she learned a small amount of various languages. Why would a gambler need to learn multiple languages? They didn't, but Mei had a life, and she did whatever she wanted with it. Besides, she had gotten so popular that she had people wanting to best her that didn't even speak English, she had to learn eventually. She chuckled at Idris's sudden outburst, looking into the eyes that matched the color of the owner's hair. She didn't get why he always hid his face, even if it was just insecurity. She glanced down at the paper, immediately recognizing the language. Greek She almost forgot he was a linguist, which made her momentarily surprised that the page was in Greek. Still... Why in that language? A bit odd, but she wouldn't ask. Greek was one of the languages she knew the most of, even if it was still very little. Guess her obsession of mythology as a young child did that. Mei only recognized fire, wasp, flies, and weak, for some reason. And... Her name was on there, as well as Saeko's... That was... interesting.... Maybe a poem? No... That obviously wasn't it... She quickly looked back up to Idris, deciding not to ponder the words anymore. She picked up the paper and handed it back over to Idris after a moment, grinning as she gave it to him. "You dropped something, it's not nice to litter, y'know." She said jokingly. [Read more] |

She said nothing in reply to Idris, and instead continued to move her gaze around the room. The only problem is... Kubo saw the whole thing. Kubo now knew that Mei could be soft, and that guy was probably the most insightful one of them all. Well that was annoying... She didn't want to prod Idris about whatever the hell happened, so she instead said something else, acting like she didn't notice a thing. "Guess the dorms are pretty similar in layout..." "Soooo, whatcha got there?" She tried to revert back to the childish attitude, but the attempt was just futile. [Read more] |

She pointed to the nameplate before he opened the door, pouting a little bit. ... "I-... Sorry, I shouldn't have called you that..." Mei said, her voice the quietest it's been since she got here. She lowered her head and didn't move for a little bit before Idris greeted her inside. She apologized. Mei... Apologized... Mei Akamatsu, the heartless killer, had apologized. She thought she'd never see the day. The moment was a little embarrassing for her, so she made the effort to perk back up and retaliate. "Don't take that the wrong way, I totally meant that..." She crossed her arms before entering the room, not expecting to see what she saw. The blood, the paper, the pillows, and... Kubo, T-posing in the corner because his character model had not yet loaded. Her curiosity for Idris only grew the more and more she knew him. Yeah, sure, everyone here was messed up in some sort of way, but Idris... She couldn't easily tell. "Mess? What mess! I don't see a thing!" She joked, giggling afterward. She wanted to keep annoying Akari, but it wouldn't do anything anyways, there was nothing to get out of that interaction. "Sure! We can go to the next one then!" Mei had noticed that a few more people had gone to their dorms, like Kubo and Darcy. Oooh, more people she could annoy! "Cya Akari, good luck~" She giggled and waved goodbye, frowning a little when Akari immediately retreated without saying goodbye. She walked down the hallways and came across the next dorm. "Hey Idris, this one's yours! And that detective guy's too! Hey, you're dormed with him? Ooooh, what's he like?" She was all giddy now, nearly jumping up and down as her excitement rose. Before even waiting for his answer, she knocked 3 times, even though Idris had access to his own room. She still respected some privacy after all. Besides, what if they walked into something they didn't want to see? -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- As soon as Mei left, he closed the door and went straight back to his bed, picking up the bundle of random objects Mei had randomly given him a while back he had on his nightstand. Not like he could do anything with it, since he had a slight issue going on, but it was an object that he could just stare at while he laid silently on his bed. "We were just checkin' out the dorms, nothin' happened! She went up to the first dorm, her own, as well as Shi no Shiryō's. She had access to this one, but she doubted Shi was even here. She opened the door, and of course found nothing to note. It was left the exact same way it was when she left this morning. Although... Something small peeked out under her pillow, it was barely noticeable, but she quickly shut the door after giving Idris the "nope, nothin' here" look. Next dorm, Saeko and Setsuna's. Knock knock knock... Nothing, as expected. The next one down, Sutaraitsu and Akari's. Something felt... different about this one. Knock knock knock She waited longer this time, standing at the door for much longer than she did the previous door. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Knock knock knock Akari lowered the blade, slowly stuffing it back where it came from, then pulled his hair back before putting his beanie back on. Looks like fate wanted him to live another day, something he wouldn't be able to understand. Besides... Who the hell was out there? Weren't they all still in the courtroom? He waited for a second, staring at the door and didn't make a single breath. Knock knock knock Those knocks again... They were really insistent, weren't they? But... Why? He slowly got up and dragged himself over to the door, hiding his face with his hair again. Not like it mattered since he was so tall, the height difference between him and everyone here was large enough that they could still see his face pretty easily if they wanted. He gently opened the door... And there was Mei, acting like a child, and Idris, just right behind her. Huh... What were they doing... And why were they doing it together? "Uhh... Hey...? Did... Did something happen?" His body was still shaking slightly, and his voice was a little more messed up than usual, but he tried his best to act normal, like everything was fine. Just... put on an act, right? He looked at the girl in front of him, obviously faking everything she did, but she did it so well that it was convincing, she probably even convinced herself to feel that way. How the hell did she do it? How can you have that much control of yourself? He envied her for that, and he hated it. He hardly even spoke to people, much less engaged in anything deep. He didn't have the ability to just... Act how he wanted around others... Guess it was a blessing and a curse, he was a genuine guy for the cost of looking weak and crazy if the situation ever forced it. Mei had to suppress a devious grin when the unnecessary and inappropriate thoughts came to her head. She would've made a few jokes about it right now if she didn't want Idris to stick around. She said nothing about it and simply gave a curious grin before getting up and stepping away. "Ooooh a dead body? Count. Me. IN!" She said enthusiastically, raring to go to the dorm hallway. "I wonder what we'll find~" She dragged Idris along with her as she skipped to the dorms, humming that exact same tune. She had more pauses in between the notes, and the hums were low and quiet. For some reason, the tune hit differently after such a mind-boggling experience. Oh well, she still continued skipping. They finally made it, and all the doors were locked. Given how short of a time period it was from the execution to now, she doubted anyone was outside of the courtroom except for her and Idris. Didn't hurt to check though. Guess we just go on with the day!" She sounded so carefree, so oblivious... She was changing just as much, and just as quickly, as the flow of time itself. Nothing stayed the same for even a second in this world. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- No no no no... He couldn't start thinking about that, not right here, not right now. He got up and quickly wiped the tear from his eye and rushed away, avoiding any and all interaction. He wasn't sure if he could handle being around people right now... He almost ran out of the room, heading straight for his dorm, he wasn't letting anything or anyone stop him. ... When he finally got there, he fell to his bed and immediately hunched over, gripping his dark green hair like it was the last thing he'd ever touch. He was pretty sure he was ripping some hair out, but he couldn't feel it. His head already hurt like hell anyways, nothing could make it worse. "Why... Why why why why why? Just... Just stop!" First, the one thing that was probably going to keep him alive was stolen from him, now the murder... Why couldn't this all be a dream... Why... A sharp blade was now in his possession, its origins will not be stated for classification reasons. He could just... Stop all of this, stop everything that was ever happening to him with one good strike of this blade. He could finally be free... Akari sat on his bed in shock, his breaths wildly out of control, his whole body shaking. He stared wide-eyed at the blade, thinking. Thinking. He could just... Akari inched the sharp metal closer to his chest, then to his throat. He could just... Wow, it would be a shame if someone walked in on him, wouldn't it. She tilted her head sideways, a neutral, but innocent expression now took place of the melancholy, serious one she had before. "I see, oh well." "Nevermind then! Hehe, I neeeeever said anything~" The smile reappeared and she adjusted herself once again, acting like nothing ever happened. She couldn't risk doing that again, being vulnerable. I live for these kinds of things, it's my job after all! Hehe, get it? Liiiive?" Mei's excitement was clearly wearing off, as evident by the almost forced giggles. She knelt down beside him and tried to look him in the eyes, even knowing that he probably hated it. "Well I could say the same for you, not too fazed, huh?" Oh but Idris was, she saw. He had escaped for a reason, he was obviously fazed. Looks like Mei was the only student who knew the life they were now stuck in, the only one who recognized the horrors each and every one of them were going to face. She knew, and she was prepared. She didn't let herself become attached, even if she was getting really close to Idris. She knew these deaths were coming. "Hmmm... Nope, definitely not the type! Little miss sweetheart, cared for the children and that therapist, only to be an evil little killer~ What a tragedy!" Mei let a pause hang in the air momentarily before she repositioned herself and put on a more serious tone. "Probably gonna get punished for the sins of my past here, the red on my hands finally being shown..." "And I'm perfectly fine with that." Mei smiled sweetly, a tinge of sadness glossing her face. That was interesting, the person Kaoru was referring to... Oh well, not like it mattered right now anyways. Though she did have to wonder, who voted for... She couldn't pick out the person who voted them, but she didn't really care. Anyways, time to jam out to the absolutely fantastic execution music. A tear rolled down her cheek, whether it was real or not was uncertain. The kiss, the blood, the death. Kaoru was dead, and she went out in a beautiful display of horror. Mei stared in awe as she watched it all, admiring Monokuma's work. What a way to go out, huh? "Woooooow, that was so cool! OOH OOH Monokuma, can I do it too?! It looks so fun! Hehe, great job little bear, you sure do know how to entertain a crowd!" She would've continued rambling if she didn't see Idris leave out of the corner of her eye. A small bit of concern flashed on their face before she followed after, giving the other students a smile and a wave goodbye. Sure, he probably wanted to be left alone, but she was just curious. Besides, since when did she care about what others thought? "Oooooh Iiiiidriiiisss! Where'dja gooooooo!" She called out as she went to look for him, eventually finding him slumped down and panicking over something or whatever. Oh come on, not him too! Gee, it was just a small little death... How weak were these people? -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Akari still stood at his podium, unmoving as the execution happened. he was bent down with his head resting on his arm, which was on the stand. His entire body was shaking slightly, his breathing was erratic, his eyes were closed, and his jaw was so tight that it was giving him a headache. He couldn't watch, he knew he'd collapse on the spot if he even saw a second of it. Lucian's screams, the music, all the noise... He just wanted it to stop... Blood. Crimson red. Terrifying noise. Screams. Fear. The sound of metal piercing through flesh, ripping it apart. Akari could hear it all, and the fear, tension, pressure, and horror filling the room made it hard to breathe, or even think. He could hear Kaoru's cries, her panicked yelps, her pleas, her dying breaths. He could hear everyone else's too. He couldn't even move right now, not even to cover his ears once again. This was hell, this was absolute hell. He couldn't even imagine what it was like for Kaoru... Akari had seen enough horrors in his life, he didn't need more. As stone cold as he was, he still had a heart, a heart that had been shattered and ripped, a mind that had been tainted with blood, and a life that no one would ever want to live. He'd gone through hell and back multiple times, yet he was back there again. Why couldn't he escape the cold embrace of death? Torture? Hadn't he already been through enough? Hadn't he already paid for what he did? Why... Why did he have to be here... Why couldn't you have saved me from this? None of the s**t I've had to endure wouldn't have happened if you had just... A tear fell down Akari's right eye, his head still glued to his arm on the podium. His hair had blocked anyone from seeing him, but it was obvious he was going through some stuff. [Read more] |
