Eventually the last two of the seven siblings trickled in. Adam gave Sliuril a hug that would have crushed a lesser being, the at-a-glance-human taking his seat at his parent's right since he was the oldest. Draugnur took the seat to their left, dark and brooding, although there was a distinctly regal air to him for the occasion. Next to Draugnur was Alyssa, the dryad in her trademark forest green. A colony of glowing butterflies surrounded her, and her Guardian creature - something that vaguely resembled a tiger made of wood - sat next to her. Somehow it managed to both blend in and stand out from the wood walls behind it. Ptolemy had been sandwiched between Sliuril - and Faith, to an extent - and Adam. Thryssa was the last to come - he stepped into the hall with body bathed in crimson blood, wings spread and eagle face obscured by the testament of his kills. He took his seat to the far left of the gathered royals.

Naomi and Elijah were seated at one of the lower tables, the SPARTAN clad in a toga that had had its colour matched with her beloved MJOLNIR armour. She was surrounded by dozens of similarly well-connected but less-powerful deities, the other six muses among them.

Anheuser took his place behind the Two as light refreshments began appearing on the tables. He cleared his throat. Silence fell.

"Those assembled are advised to moderate themselves. This conference has been called to address the matter of the Creatures of Grimm, and you shall behave accordingly. Now, I call on Captain Eyrie to speak."

A bird-like man stood from the low tables, and flew windlessly to a stage that had suddenly appeared. He bowed to Thryssa before he began speaking.

Didact's voice jarred Copper out of whatever she had been thinking. Discreetly taking a breath to calm herself, she looked around the room with a challenging glare. It barely took a few moments before everyone had dropped their eyes, same as they would have if faced with Sliuril or Glaurug. Alyssa even gave her a small smile, her older sibling beautiful in a forest green ensemble. Copper thought a quick 'follow me' to Didact before she set off for the high table.

"Mother, Father." Copper muttered as she dipped into a curtsy, Glaurug bowing behind her. She rose back up before her parents responded. Copper sat next to Sliuril, and a seat appeared for Didact.

"It is my honour to announce Princess of Light Sliuril and Anathema Princess of Lightning Copper Malfyre, escorted by their appointed Guardians Lady Fauster and Glaurug the Deserter, accompanied by Lord Jack of the Court of the Void, Wielder of the Soul Mask and Didact Shadow-of-Sundered-Star of the Forerunner Ecumen." Anheuser recited. As he spoke, seemingly perfectly timed, the person in question would arrive. They were on a raised pavilion of woven bamboo and wood, living flowers creating a roof over their heads. Several dozen nobles were gathered and at the opposite end of their entry place was a long table, overlooking three dozen perpendicular tables. The royal table had sever other occupants in it, most notable being Draugnur. The assembled gods and goddesses all rose to their feet at.the group's arrival, although some did a double-take at seeing Jack in Sliuril's company. No one felt the need to pay attention to Didact - Copper, before she had been exiled, had a long history of bringing oddities into the Court.

"You may be seated." Sliuril commented offhandedly as she descended the stage, Faith following behind her. A few familiar faces smiled at her in greeting, but many were focused on Copper, who suddenly found herself rooted to the floor of the entryway.

Sliuril made her way to the high table, curtsied to her parents, and quickly and quietly found her seat. Faith joined her and Draugnur in imperiously staring down Copper. A seat appeared next to her for Jack.

"Very well." Sliuril said. "Herald, I bring as my guest Jack of the Void. Go and announce our impending arrival."

"Didact Shadow-of-Sundered-Star with me."

The Herald pursed his lips. "Very well. The Godsphere awaits your arrival."

He disappeared into the Portal. Sliuril counted to five to allow for the necessities, and for Faith to crush the winged creature under one claw, before stepping into the Portal. Copper sighed.

"You two wait another two seconds so the arse can announce you, please, then step inside." She muttered, addressing Jack and Didact. "Honestly she never bothers-" Copper's muttering was swallowed by the Portal.

Faith and Glaurug walked inside, too.

"Ahem. By order of Imperial Decree no. 3601 world AH592," Anheuser began, clearly enjoying his audience, "All Seven Princes and Princesses are to return immediately to the Godsphere to have their final task announced. They may bring two escorts with them if they so wish. Guardian's are exempt and required to attend to their charges. This mandate applies to all active Princes and Princesses, including the Anathema Copper Malfyre and her Guardian."

The Herald rolled up the scroll, a smirk on his face. "After you, Princess."

"We will discuss our escorts. Then we will come." Sliuril shot him a look that told him to keep quiet or, herald or not, she really was going to let Faith eat him. His smile wavered for a few seconds, but he bowed and gestured at the still-open portal.

"Jack, do you wish to come? I can bring you as a guest if you do so."

Sister, I believe you promised to protect him. Sliuril thought as soon as the words left Didact's mouth. If Anheuser had previously been polite, he had now been released of most restraints.

"And what, exactly, is this insect doing here?" He sneered, literally and figuratively looking down at Didact with his ridiculous height. "Honestly, which one of you two could have possibly sunk so low as to travel with this insignificant-"

"He is under my protection, Herald." Copper interrupted, her voice surprisingly powerful. "Now do as you were commanded!" Didact, lower your weapon. Now. Copper added in her head, more or less praying that he would hear her out.

He made a disapproving tsk. "Patience has eluded you, Anathema. As with any other virtuous qualities you once held."

"Faith." Sliuril called up. "It appears the Herald is not here on official business, so I suppose there won't be much harm in eating him, after all."

"Ah!" Anheuser quickly exclaimed, pulling out a scroll with trembling hands. "There will be no need for that, Sliu-"

"Princess Sliuril, Herald. Please do stay informed of major political events, it is your job."

"Of course, Princess Sliuril! I would never dare disrupt your leisure time with unofficial visits!" He cleared his throat. "By order of Imperial Decree no. 3917 world AH592, the Fourth to Sixth Legions have thereby been mobilised to defend against the threat of the Creatures of Grimm. All related personnel are hereby summoned to the Godsphere immediately. Signed, the Empress."

"That has nothing to do with us."

"Well, there are two decrees, Princess."

"What, you mean if it's a test?" Sliuril replied, thought for a few minutes, then simply shrugged. "Copper, you can deal with it. Me and Faith are going to take a nice, long vacation somewhere the Godsphere doesn't administrate and come back in a few millennium."

"Absolutely not." Copper replied. "For someone who doesn't want me speaking up against mom and dad, you're being awfully neglecting of your duties."

Faith snarled a warning, sensing the challenge in the words. Without meaning to she put additional weight on the foot holding down the not-bird, which caused it to trash harder as it began to get crushed.

"Faith." Sliuril said, and that was that. "And Copper, you know as well as I that the tests are-"

A portal from the Godsphere opened, and all the Immortals shut up to look at it.

"You've got to be kidding me." Copper muttered. "I swear if this is a test..."

A tall man in a top hat and matching tuxedo strode out. A small medallion was pinned to his breast, and both sisters inclined their heads to him. Faith growled. "You're lucky I can't eat Heralds."

He glanced up to look at her.

"Please restrain your... Companion, Sliuril." He sneered, making it clear that he didn't think much of Faith's apparent sentience. "And you." He handed, pointing to Glaurug. "The Two have seen fit to grant you clemency for your crimes. That does not mean you are free go to gallivanting about the countryside-"

"[B]Your message[/b[." Sliuril interrupted.

"I have no idea what that means." Faith said, giving the bird-thing another sniff. Sliuril promptly flooded her mind with the related information soon enough.

"This is worrisome." Sliuril muttered. She flicked her hand, a lasso of magic appearing and tying the creature's beak shut. It probably tried screeching again, and it did redouble it's trashing, but no sound came out save for some muffled wind. "This creature seems to have no great capacity for reason and no real source to their hostility..." She scowled. "If we were still in my world, I would have called them shards, but the Godsphere agreed to ban such creatures from then on."

"I think that mom and dad would like to know about these." Copper said.

"Quite possibly, they already have taken steps to curtail them." Sliuril replied. "It seems equally likely, though, that this is yet another task."

Copper blinked. "Huh. Didn't think about it that way... Glaurug?"

"Eh, they've down crazier things."

"Be careful how you speak of the Two." Sliuril muttered, suddenly uneasy.

"Ever the dutiful daughter, sister."

Finally, Faith stopped trying to squeeze Sliuril to death. "Well, as you can see, the Forerunner's Cryptum is still intact." She said, a wing gesturing loosely to the ship behind her. "What are we going to do with the extra ship?"

"Well-" Sliuril was cut off but an piercing screech as a vaguely bird-like thing swooped in from above. It had talons - long, wicked things that could have torn apart lesser creatures, although it didn't seem to use them. Mutely, Faith walked to the side at the last second, as did Sliuril. Faith's head snapped out and grabbed the bird as it was about to ascend, trapping it's trashing form between suddenly large jaws.

Faith grew several dozen meter, spat out the bird, and pinned it to the ground with one imperious foot.

"This is new." She muttered. "And I'm pretty sure it's not supposed to exist." She added after sniffing it. "It certainly isn't very edible."
