Well...I never thought I would be making another one of these, but I thought my old diary was extremely outdated, so I decided to start fresh. Hopefully having like 30 diaries won't be a problem! x D Here i'll be posting how my shiny hunts go, log games I play, make notes for myself, and treat this thread as my own personal diary...aside from the soul-crushing secrets of course. 	In other news... owo I finished my Oricorio sprites! I tried to make them look different to the original art by changing their positions a bit but it isn't really noticeable and I couldn't even do anything to Pom-Pom over there- ~~rip Oricorio Balie Style..~~ ~~The Pom-Pom Oriocorio is my favorite, but Sensu Style was the most fun to make.~~ [Read more]

Ooh~ It's really nice! I like the shading and overall placement of everything. If I had to give any criticism, I would say that making the overall sprite more detailed and making the eyes look more like a Fairy Tale Girl would be cool~ Maybe also experiment with the pose a bit? I find it fun to sprite something that looks very similer to the original Pokemon's pose then re-doing a couple parts differently from scratch! Its really fun, and great practice for somebody like me who has trouble making poses without referencing something heavily, not saying you would have any trouble with that stuff.

Ok...I do not support sadly... now I couldn't 100% understand the wording here, but i'm thinking you're saying that all users who bid on a Pokemon in the Auction House should be able to see what the final bid was even if they lost.

1. Why would you want to know how much the final bid was, anyway? It would not help new users, since the prices of many Pokemon (especially newer ones) change almost everyday! This is true with many legendary Pokemon, Alolan Pokemon, and depending on what dex many users are all after at once, those Pokemon as well. While there aren't many accurate ways to tell how much a Pokemon currently goes for, the Auction House is subject to extremely high listings that don't match up with how much the Pokemon is really worth.

When Cosmog was introduced into the game as an Advent Calendar Prize in 2016, it's worth was easily over 1mil. There was no other way to obtain Cosmog at the time, other than buying/trading for it from another user. That was until Nebula Stones were introduced, making Cosmog not only obtainable by anybody with the Alola Rumble Map (that it was very commonly found in), but also huntable! The prices of Cosmog and Nebula Stones quickly dropped as more and more people hatched more and more normal Cosmog, now Cosmog are worth much much less than they once were. If a user bought a Cosmog in the Auction House for 1mil+ PD in 2016 but never looked at the price of one there since then, they may still think Cosmog is worth a lot- and that doesn't include those random times where for some reason a certain Auction goes so high that it goes higher than what the Pokemon is worth. What will people think when they see that?

2. It already takes a very long time for auctions to update and give players their money/Pokemon. (It's taken me up to 15 minutes at times!) Adding this would only slow down the Auction House even more by having to calculate how much the final bid was, especially if the user sniped the auction in less than a second, barely giving the system time to even register the price. (I would think that is how it would work, however I am not familiar with the system PH uses...or many systems/servers at all.)
3. (Taking about your point 'It could also make other people's bids more competitive, since they now know how high it can sell for'.) The Auction House is not accurate for predicting prices of a Pokemon- they change daily depending on the Pokemon, the value of PD, etc. It could make the Auction House less competitive, actually. If people see that a certain final bid was super high/low, they may not go to the Auction House to buy or sell their Pokemon judging by the prices. Often times auctioned Pokemon don't follow a set price, and depending on if the listing is seen by many or not, a normal/newly added Pokemon could go for 1mil and a shiny could go for 10k-leaving users not wanting to sell or buy those same Pokemon from the Auction House.

I just wanted to mention that I added in 2 new rules (really just things that I thought were obvious that people didn't actually understand) and I made them pink. It isn't anything super new if you're here often, but I recommend newer customers to check them over.

But...it's 100% the user's fault if they don't check to see if anybody has a close username to somebody, or has a typo. The whole system should NOT be changed for that... Usernames are meant to be representative of you as a person, and if the user is careless enough to need to change it because of a typo or something then that's not our problem.

And 60-90 days..I think that would be much too short. Like I said, having it be that short would only really help the one type of user who would change their username (carelessly sometimes) every chance they get.

Username changes confuse people, and if they aren't well thought out then that isn't the system's fault. So..basically i'm saying yes- they do just have to deal with it, it's not the system's fault, it should not be changed for all the flaws that would come from it.

And with making it pricey...I don't think that would work. Like I said, if it's too expensive, nobody will use it and users may suggest over and over again to shorten it...

I mean...i'm kind of torn here...

Of course 122 days is far too long, but the thing is that not every user constantly needs to change their username- this would only really only significantly help a specific group of users who change their usernames as soon as the cooldown is up- or soon after it is up. Also...aren't usernames supposed to be well-thought out before you change them? And if it was made so you could pay a fee to change it anytime or much sooner than normal, then people could abuse it. You can't make it too cheap (so basically any way to pay in PD) because then people will constantly change their usernames, but if you make it too expensive (really just nuggets, since those are expensive and hard to buy from other uses) nobody will like it, and call for the price to be lowered.

However I do agree that shortening the time a little tiny bit (maybe like a week or so) would be fair, since 122 days is far too long.
