Event Distribution

With this new Event Distribution, a new update has been implemented as well: As you know, the activity point requirement increases with every Event egg you claim. This curve had been very steep in the past - for example your 5th egg required 7-times as many activity points as the 1st egg. With this update, the curve has been relaxed a bit, making this challenge more motivating. The 5th egg, for example, now only requires 3.8-times as many activity points. Enjoy!

Explore past and future

In this new quest, your path will be determined by your affinity for eras – past or future: If the past beckons, you'll immerse yourself in the Path of Nostalgia. For those lured by the allure of the future, the Path of Anticipation awaits. Choose wisely! Your decision will not only determine the outcome of the quest, but also future opportunities.
The quest is all about studying the Pokémon from a certain Professor in town. There's something truly paradoxical about them. ... My point is: Shiny hunting is a distraction in this quest. Take a well-deserved break when you get the chance! The quest has no time-limit, so finish your current hunt and then make sure to help me with my research.
Some more info you might find relevant: The legendary Pokémon you might obtain in this quest can only be traded with trainers who also own their EggDex entries. It's also worth to note that currently they are shiny-locked - though hunting options will become available!
And remember, this is only the beginning. Stay prepared for more research quests arriving in Fall 2023. I hope to see you again soon!

... with a few improvements

The Shaymin Event lasts until September 10th. This is a slightly shorter than usual; however, in return, the chances of finding Shaymin have been increased. We have noticed that the motivation of our players declines after about two weeks - so having a shorter but more rewarding experience should make it more worth your time!
And as always: Sky Gifts are available again as well! You can buy and send three gifts to your friends for a small amount of Pokedollar every day. These gifts contain random items; such as Berries, Gems and Poké Balls. Or, if you're lucky, perhaps even a Pokémon Egg! (QoL Update: You will no longer lose the Pokemon Egg when you have no empty spot in your Party. You will receive a warning instead and be able to claim it later.)

All three Paldean starters are now also breedable. Their rarity has been changed from "Special" to "Starter", so they can also be obtained from the Gem Collector and rarely from Prof. Rowan's Lab. Happy hunting!

Unleash its full potential

Necrozma's fusions with Lunala and Solgaleo are now available: Place your Necrozma together with a Lunala or Solgaleo in your party, go to your Necrozma's profile page, and fuse them together into its Dawn Wings or Dusk Mane form! After this fusion, you can fuse it again with yet another Solgaleo/Lunala (the species you hadn't used in the first fusion) for its Ultra form!
To obtain the shiny version of these fusions, only Necrozma needs to be shiny. It is not possible to fuse it with a shiny Solgaleo or shiny Lunala.

Freeze your chain

Have you ever got bored of your endless Shiny Mega Perfect IV Ditto hunt and want to take a break - but at the same time you don't want to break your chain and restart it later? Well, now you can freeze your PokéRadar chain for a small fee, depending on your chain's progress and for how long you'd like to take a break. This option is available as soon as you reach a chain of 5+ hatched eggs. It is not available for Event Pass hunts.
Freeze, relax, and hatch some lab or Necrozma eggs! ... Speaking of which: Necrozma's fusions with Solgaleo and Lunala will become available soon. Get ready!
