You stumble upon a clearing in the ashen, dry Route 113. You look back at the footprints you made in the soot to see that...more footprints have appeared? Small, paw-like tracks swerve sporadically in the general direction of your footprints, leading up to...the clearing you're standing in. You turn around quickly, ready for a battle. However, nothing seems to come come forward. All except for a little Spinda, waddling her way up to you, covered in a thin layer of soot.

You look at the small Pokemon as she awkwardly gives you a smile. In her paw, a flower, native to the gardens just up ahead. You examine the Spinda, smiling.

She would make a great member of your team.
