Just curious about what the use of relic copper, relic silver and star piece are. Thank you.

Relic copper and silver (like other relic items) can be exchanged with Leah at the Emera Beach for higher tier relics. Eventually, that would let you work your way up to obtaining a fisherman hat which boosts your fishing skills and lets you fish during thunderstorms.

Once you collect 5 star pieces, you can exchange them for a jirachi egg (or other goodies) at the Ancient Cave.
