This is because I got the Advent Calendar challenge to solve 20 Hangman. I can't do it, I just can't. It would be nice if I got a hint, such as what it is. An item, a Pokemon, a feature on Pokeheroes.

I also hate gambling in general. >n>

If you look, other users have posted lists of the words used in Hangman which you can use to guess the word.

Some user diaries contain lists of words sorted by the number of letters they have. Example

Some other users have created tools that you can use to figure out which words it could be. Example

With this in mind, there are already an abundance of hints for Hangman if you just know where to look.

Like NightStorm said, there's lists of answers around the forums. Also, take your time if you need, always guess vowels first. Hangman isn't gambling either, just a tedious low reward game.
