Hello. I'm kinda new to this game. What are the most useful items to buy from the mall first?

That might depend on what you want to do around the site. For example, if breeding eggs in the daycare isn't something you're doing now or planning to for a while, then maybe the Wide Lens isn't your priority. If you're looking forward to battling, the VS Seeker is what you want.

However, here's something I'd personally recommend in no particular order:

Amulet Coin - Makes earning pokedollars by interacting a bit faster so getting the money to buy other items gets tiny bit easier.
Flame Orb - Gets those pesky eggs hatched faster so progressing with filling that pokedex gets just a bit smoother.
Pal Pad - It lets you chat with people more easily and even if you don't really need it much, it's cheap.
Explorer Bag - If you haven't gotten one from elsewhere already, this unlocks the Rumble Areas for you. Sending pokemon on rumble missions has a chance of them finding various items and more pokedollars for you. So, like the amulet coin, it's a good investment towards earning more money to buy more things.

I wouldn't set my sights on the pokeradar as the first thing since it does cost quite a bit and if you're not premium, you also have to spend some more pokedollars to buy batteries for it in order to activate it and start shiny hunting. But, if you really want to start shiny hunting early, then start saving up instead of buying other thing by all means.

This is entirely just my subjective views on this and it largely depends on what you wanna do, but I hope my ramblings helped at least a little bit. :,]
